We came to Magaluf for a week of party, party, party. We booked this hotel on the internet as is was near the town and the pubs and clubs are in walking distance. So we clubbed all night and slept all day this is what I call a boys holiday. The staff at the hotel thought it... more

I had come to Majorca because of the bird life and must say I wasn't disappointed. The wildlife and the local flora and fauna were considerably better than I had expected and I left with hundreds of photos and videos, which I will look through fondly now I am back in the... more

Health Warning
Only stay here if your in a LARGE group! We stayed here for a stag do in June. If I was to come here for a proper holiday I would walk straight out, it really is that load and rowdy. The rooms are ultra basic and very tired looking, but you do get waht you pay for and it was very cheap in price. One of the group was beaten up on the walk home from town by a couple of Spanish guys so ensure you stick together when walking home, this was not an isolated case as we spoke to some of the workers and local police who said this was going on alot this year. In summary, I would not go back to Magaluf as the whole resort looks tacky and old. Magaluf is in no way reprasentitive of Majorca which is a top island.
we werent allowed to stay there!!!
we booked to stay in the martinique apartments for 4 nights, there was 16 of us on a hen do, 4 in each room. when we got there, we were told in no un certain terms could we stay there (despite having paid already!!) and packed off to the trh torrenova in palm nova. their excuse was ONLY OUR ROOMS had "pipe problems". we asked to see out allocated rooms and were not allowed - we think they had let them out for an extra night or double booked, far too convenient that only our rooms had plumbing problems!! the receptionist was awful, called the hen "mean" because she surprisingly very upset that the hotel we were booked into were not letting us stay there!! all in all a truly vile experience. to be honest, i think they did us a favour, we were greeted in reception by a group of about 30 men throwing lager all over each other and trying to grope a few of us!! the other hotel was actually closer to the hill and a little ( but only a little!!!) less scary. we all agreed if we had been staying in the martinique no one would have dared step out of the apartment alone!!
not very impressed!
i was not very impressed and stayed there for a week if this was one of the best hotels ( i wouldnt call it that its more of a hostel) i would love to see the worst. you had to pay a deposit of 40 euros and 10 euros charge for a kettle and a toaster for a week. lot of noise and a lot of hidden charges for everythin as we was self catering. we didnt get any clean sheets and towels fro the whole week we was there. no room service what so ever.
Ideal for young singles
Group of 10 lads stayed here in June. Was ideal for what we wanted just somewhere to sleep in a good location. I think we only paid £10 each per room per night and for that the hotel was excellent value. The rooms had aircon which was the first budget hotel I'd stayed at in Magaluff to have this and makes allot of difference. The rooms were clean and had a large balcony, one complaint which I did have was that in our 5 day stay the cleaner only came once not a massive problem on the cleaning front but they also only changed our towels once but we weren’t bothered enough to complain. The hotel was full of young singles and groups on stag and hen parties I saw one or two families but defiantly wouldn’t recommend the hotel for anyone but groups. The pool was fairly nice but never ate at the hotel. The hotel isn’t the closest to the main bars etc but this was probably reflected in the price but was only a 5 minute walk to the beach and probably 10 minutes to the main strip where all the bars etc are located. Plenty of places to eat close by and there are two supermarkets built in to the hotel. The hotel is noisy all through the night, but know what to expect before you go and you won’t be disappointed! Great holiday decent hotel.
If your after sleep and relaxation .. Don't pick here !
After reading hundreds of reviews before going on my stag doo trip to the Martinique we were pretty clued up on what to expect via other peoples comments. We spent 5 days at the Martinique from the 7th-12th June. A cab cost 35 euros for 4 people including luggage from the airport. There was 8 of us so we had 2 rooms next to each other which seemed fine for 4 messy male adults ! On arrival we were kept waiting at reception for 20 minutes as only 1 member of staff was in sight. Make sure you hire a safe, and you should be pretty safe ... 21 euros for 6 days and 3 euros back on departure. Beware that reception take your passports for each room and return them on departure. All they did was put an elastic band around them and threw them in a cupboard that was on show to the whole world ! After reading about patio doors broken / not locking etc, that was the 1st thing we checked and sure enough both patio doors of both rooms were missing or unlockable !! But we did the right thing and went straight back down to reception before doing anything else.. They were fixed in about an hour .. But still didn't seem that secure so we wedged the door with the table every night just in case .. We did see and hear of a few rooms being done over, but if you lock ur valuables up and leave very little on show, you can't do any more than that. The pool area was decent in our minds. Plenty of beds, and sunshine. 3 euros a pint at pool bar ... It was pretty easy going in the day except for a few nude lads every so often .. Defo not the place for family's or come to think of it young romantic couples, unless you are really on a tight budget. We paid £10 pppn for the accomodation and £90 flights so basically we could have had a week for £170 including transfers which at those prices .. you can't go wrong. A 10 minute walk to Aqualand .. 21 euros for adults and well worth the trip.. Also kept 1 room on the last day for 40 euros, so speak to reception the night before leaving. BCM's was the nuts for the foam party .. Don't drink the free drinks ... Taste like every drink had been laced with white spirit !! FLIP N' FILL residents at banana's every monday so if you like your hardcore / uplifting trance it's the way forward ! Food wise ... Head to palma nova towards the marina for a more upmarket feel and local food .. stay in magalluf if u want your english style food every day .. Overall .. a true blinder ... And the martinique does do the trick for the price, but just have your wits about you !!
Awooga! (and then i patted her on the.....)
Without a shadow of a doubt Magaluf is known for a number of things serenity, beauty and top quality hotels are not any of them. This place is a stalag, a borstal, home of drunken youths hell bent on depravity. Whilst present at this hotel we witnessed a number of different sights that would quite frankly be enough to set any decent god fearing human being rushing home to say their hail mary's. Men, in full view of everyone, were rubbing sun tan lotion into their hairy wet shoulders whilst sitting around the pool shouting Awooga. There was a portly bumbling Irishman sat at the bar boring everyone to within an inch of their lives and this was only hat we managed to see before breakfast on the first day. After that all we heard were tales of debauchery involving - so far as I could tell from the loud conversations over the balcony and the hotel bar - drugs and lapdancers. One of whom was reported to be the best lapdancer in the world ever because she was fat and drunk?! I ask you? These men had no shame, they would congo around the hotel at all hours of the day. Needless to say we were not surprised to find teh worst offenders belting out little donkey and In the Navy at the karaoke bars later that evening. In short, if you can avoid going to this hotel, do so. Better still if you can avoid going to Magaluf at all do so. You'd be better placed finding yourself £600 and torching it whilst singing Walking in Memphis with your trousers round your ankles.
Good Choice for Party Goers, not families nor couples! Read up!
I would advise anyone looking for a more quieter hotel with less college students to look elsewhere. Despite being a great value for it's location, at night, the younger ones are running down the echoing hallways and slamming doors and doing anything and everything. You will not be able to sleep, this I can guarantee. Also, the area pool is definitely nicer in pictures. The tennis courts, mini golf, and small soccer area is not really "useable" because of it's poor condition. The pool is nice but the area around it needs some help. People do clean the pool in the morning though. As for the inside of the hotel...okay, for $61/nite..it's a bargain but you get no ammenities (soap, shower cap, etc) and the place is not "cleaned" throughly...it's actually quite run downed with knobs just about to fall off and curtains with holes..and blanket covers with holes. But if you think you're spending most of your time on the beach, why not? Also, Magaluf area and Palma Nova is a British town..meaning all restaurants are British owned, runned, or catered. So if you want Mallorquin cuisine..go to the city of Palma. 1 hour journey on the 104, 106! Also, last bus is usually at 11pm. We learned all this the tough way! I wished I read up on my reviews on public transport, etc. Also, if you wanna save...don't cab from airport. Take the 1 bus and get of a Placa de Espanya (bus hub)..look for the yellow and red busses and hop in either 104, 106..and get of at the Pirates stop. HM Martinique is on the left! i wouldn't stay here again because of it's noise and I didn't feel like i was in Mallorca per se. More like the UK...on the beach. Also, because the hotel charges for everything from TV to the security boxes..hence the price. Staff at front desk arent too knowledgeable for any kind of help. But, interesting fun. Next time I'd rather stay IN palma for ease of transportation and/or a small and more serene area.
What A Blast
We were a party of 36 lads on a stag party. We had a brilliant time. the party i stayed with had been to this hotel previous, last month. ideal location for the young and lively. no good for older people. its 5 mins walking distance to the strip..it gets noisy at times. the rooms are basic. 2 beds 2 couch/beds, our room could of done with a lick of paint for what we paid no one couldnt moan. the poolside bar was well stocked. there were at times a shortage of sun lounger's / chair tables. the bar inside the hotel could do with air conditioning. as it gets hot when 60-80 people like lobsters are in there.there was an ample amount of drinks to choose from lager right through to spirits / soft drinks, all at a reasonable price.. We Will Be Back In The Future...
Fantastic
Just come back from a weeks stay at the HM Martinique. We were a group of 22 girls aged 20 - 61 on a Hen party. The hotel was perfect for our needs. (Somewhere to sleep the booze off) Very clean, helpfull and friendly reception staff with good English. Good sized hotel bar. 5 minutes walk to bars and resturants. I will say this hotel is not for you if you are looking for a quiet holiday, NOT for familys with children. This hotel is for the younger end out to PARTY. Very noisy at night times which was great for us as we were coming back in the very early hours of the morning to find partys on every floor. All in all we enjoyed our stay here, for the price of it no one can complain!!!!!! Manchester Girls xx
youths
my holiday was ruined by the noisy youths staying in this hotel running about in the nude. never ever go here for a romantic break!! ever!! one night as i was trying to sleep i kept gettin youths chapping on my door and running down the corridor out of sight! it was a good location near the local night clubs and the hotel itself was grand il give it that.
