Coming back soon!
Stayed at the Hotel Samos with 4 mates. We were given two rooms- both were the same size but they had squeezed an extra bed in one room to accommodate us so naturally our rooms became absolute tips due to not having much room! Despite this, the maids endevoured to clean our room daily, issuing us with clean towels and making our beds which we thought was great. Overall, we found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The hotel puts all the groups on the first floor, so we had a corridor of young people like ourselves which was fun- it can get a little messy, but the cleaners are very good. Food was great, we were half board and only got up for breakfast about three times, but always went to dinner, which we loved. Breakfast is generally the same every day but they change dinner each evening- lots of meats, salads, potato and rice dishes etc. We all enjoyed dinner a lot and never thought to go out to eat in the evening ever. The location of Hotel Samos is perfect for young clubbers like ourselves- but I would not recommend it for older couples or families. It is situated literally right next door to the infamous BCM (fantastic club!) but you seriously cannot hear a thing from it at night- not that we would have cared getting in at six each morning! The beach, which is beautiful, is a two minute walk away, as is the strip, which we loved. Overall, from looking at the other hotels we saw in Magaluf, I would say that Hotel Samos was one of the smartest looking hotels, and is definately in the best place for all amenties. We are already looking to book for in a couple of weeks time again! A fantastic hotel, in a fantastic location, in the fabulous Magaluf!!
great hotel for bcm
just arrived back from hotel samos 14th july had a great time hotel was well managed clean rooms every day ,food was good plenty of choice.bar prices were also ok people there were all age groups pool could become very busy, but had no trouble in finding a sun bed,the bars across the road are good price too get in bcm is around 30 euros which includes all drinks go b4 12 and you get the freebies of the night eg t-shirt,hat etc.hopes this helps everyone.
Excellent value for money
There were 25 girls in our party staying for a long weekend. Rooms were clean and well maintained as were the pool, bar and restaurant areas. Food was better than we expected, on two out of three nights I enjoyed my evening meal. Would recommend the lady tavern over the road from the hotel if you miss breakfast. We would definately stay at this hotel again.
love magaluff
stayed in this hotel for 1 week, from the 19th may to 26th may 2007. hotel and rooms nipping clean, towels changed every day. food very good, a good selection for everyone, if you dont like the food your very hard to please. pool area very nice they have a large pool and a kids pool. they say the hotel can be quite noisy at night with youngsters in their 20's going wild as the hotel is right in the center of magaluff, but we had no problem with noise. would go back again. FROM RAINA & KEV NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE ( MAY 2007 )
Superb Location!!
I stayed here with a group of 8 lads and have to say the hotel was exactly what we were looking for...a bed...shower...somewhere to keep our clobber!! The hotel is very clean and tidy, the pool area is a good size and has a big bar serving reasonably priced lager!! The location is the main selling point for this hotel, as it is ideally situated next door to BCM, tho I didnt hear any noise from the club or the busy square from the room!! Plenty of fast food places, McDonalds is left of the hotel, KFC over the road and the beach is about a 500 yards walk!! Overall, you get what you pay for here, I would definetly return to this hotel as would my mates!! Enjoy!
magaluff the new ibiza
we stayed at the hotel samos for 14 nights. If you are going for the clubbing it is in a very convenent location right next door the the amazing club bcm. The club is sound proofed so there is no need to worry about noise. Loads of fast foods store opposite the hotel that are open pretty much 27/7. Magaluff beach is very nice although it can get very busy in the high season. The hotel is only a short walk to the beach and to the main night life " the strip" where you will find endless clubs and bars.
Good location but dont go for the food!
Hotel samos is in a fab location if you are there for clubbing. It is literally next to BCMs and the square but you dont hear the noise from it. There is a kfc across from it and a mcds up the road and you will need them the food was terrible! Didnt really have many dealings with the staff but seemed to be courteous. I wouldnt recommend for families as was all clubbers when we were there.
Great food, good choice for couples and groups of 2
I have stayed at this hotel twice, once for 1 week and second time for 2 weeks. Both times i went with my boyfriend. Would recommend for couples, groups of friends and families. If i go Magaluf again i will be staying here for the 3rd time. Have stayed at one of the fiesta groups apartments which is no where near as good as this hotel. This is good value for money especially for groups of 2 as most accommodation out there is based on 4 people sharing so you get occupancy supplements added on to your bookings. Try looking on XL website usually have good prices on this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has a mixture of nationalities. Food is very nice, reasonable choices. Although if you stay for 2 weeks you will find that you eat out a few days just to have some variety. Hotel has 2 pools (1 for the kids), gets very busy so best to get down there early to grab a sun lounger (free of charge).
EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY
This is a very tidy and friendly hotel. Granted there will be a few English drop-outs, but the Hotel itself is fine. Its cheap and cheerful, but I would recommend it for a quick week away. Anymore than that and you could get a bit bored. Night life consists of alcohol etc, and there isnt much for kids. Ive been 3 times, once with my wife and on two stag do's (30 -60 yr olds!). Definately a good base!
Clean.... but.......
Magaluf is great. Its not just for the singles out on the lash. I went with my boyfriend and found there were many other couples out there. We stayed at Hotel Samos. When we walked in we felt as though we were being hypnotised by their chequed black and white floor tiles. Rooms were very clean and our balcony was over looking the pool area which also had the sun shining on it from 2pm until about 7pm which was lovely. Our room had airconditioning and a huge fan which was needed!! The cleaners came every morning and cleaned the bathroom and changed sheets. We went halfboard so expected a mini fridge in the room but there wasnt one. You could rent one for about 40euros which we decided against. There was a tv in the room that was showing hardcore porn! You couldnt change the channel and there was no volume at all. We asked reception if there were any other channels. He smirked and said there are only 3 english channels avaliable but you have to rent out the remote to get to these channels. That was at about 20euros. We went half board so we had breakfast and dinner avaliable to us. We decided to go without!! The food in Samos was awful!!!! It was cold, bland, dry, it looked minging and tasted minging!!!! I think out of our 7night stay we had breakfast once and dinner twice and from then on we ate out pretty much 2-3times a day. Across the road from Samos are some great cafe type restaurants. The owners are friendly and the food is good. Its very cheap too. KFC is opposite with burger king and Mcdonalds 4mins down road, so we were sorted! The biggest club in magauf is right next door, BCM. Great club, inclusve bar for 20euros each. They have big dj's each and every night and music types vary each night. They hold popcorn parties, foam parties and water parties which are great fun. Inside the hotel you can not hear a thing from BCM next door which is pretty impressive. The main strip is about a 5min walk from samos. Alex's bar is great! You can pay 12euros and get in to 3 different clubs throughout the night. Bananas, Boomerang and Tokio Joes. If you go between midnight and 1am you get the Buy one get one free offer which is always fun. The beach is about 5-7min walk from samos. Just to warn you, you do have to pay for the sun longers and umbrellas at the beach. You dont get to sit for a sec and someone is on your case telling you to get off or pay. lol. All in all, the hotel is ok. But theres not many english. Mostly spanish, german and french. I would say its more a family hotel than couples or singles. I probably wouldnt stay there again unless I got it for a real cheap price! We paid £303 each. Took £300 spending money and we were fine. Considering we didnt like the food in the hotel and ate out 2-3times a day plus got lashed out of our faces each night and came back with fags and liquor, it goes to show how cheap t is out there! If you go make sure you go and see the Pirate show and also Marineworld to see the dolphin and sea lion show. They were great fun! :)
