Excellent Birthday
from simonesullivan
My boyfried and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Rina! We loved this hotel and don't want to say a bad word about the place but we have to about the dogs and the restaurant (hence the fact we've given 4 rather than 5). The dogs do tend to bark at all hours but if the windows are closed you can't really hear them. We was on the non pool side (which was a bit disappointing at the start) this didn't bother us too much as the bar is open until the last person leaves and they do tend to play loud music - not good if there are people at the bar until 2am especially if you're up early for an excursion. The roof top terrace restaurant was a big disapointment, we went there for my boyfriends birthday, they served myself uncooked chicken, and my boyfriend asked for a medium rare steak which came out well done. We also heard the loud music from one of the local restaurants when they had a turkish night which we didn't mind too much as we then got to watch the fireworks from the balcony. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, we blew a fuse in our room on the 1st night we got there, reported it to reception 1st thing in the morning and a couple of hours later it was fixed. We didn't use the air con, you have to have £4 a day to use it, we wasn't bothered about it because it was very cool in the evening so there wasn't much use for it. Maybe if we were there in the hotter months we would of used it. Thomas Cook were excellent and we enjoyed having them as our tour operator - they did excellent excursions at very reasonable prices (definately try the scuba diving). The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into Kusadasi's main town which has some lovely restaurants and loads of shops. Be careful when going there as you tend to get pulled into some shops when your not interested in buying. If you want to eat out of the hotel try Planet Yucco - it's quite expensive compared to other restaurants but once you've converted it into ££ it's cheaper than home and the food is gorgeous and the service is excellent. Waiters are very very friendly. Overall we had an excellent holiday, if we went back to Kusadasi we would definately stay at the Rina again and would recommended to other people.
more 3star than four

stayed here from aug 24th for one week.my husband and i and our 16 year old grandaughter.our rooms were at the back on the third floor where you had views of surrownding area to our right and some waste ground down below.this was ok.there were dogs barking down below.this was not continuous.also turkish music from nearby hotel.the music did not bother us.we did not eat evening meals here so cannot comment.occasional lunch time which was ok.grandaughter had to go to the hospital early hours of one morning due to dehydration.they could not have looked after her better in our country.she was put on a drip. The staff from the hotel two of them came to visit her.we found all the staff very friendly and helpful from the hotel.not very far to walk into kusadasi.we ate in the restaurant called the green island not very far from the hotel turning left.also a place in the centre.beware when you see the big ships in the port as the prices go up .just say you are not american.it is a lovely place and our grandaughter,s first visit abroad.which really enjoyed ,shame about the hospital but she was back by tea time on the same day.the rail by the pool was loose but there was a childrens pool on the other side.the sunsets were gorgeous.someone above us on the 4th floor were really noisy moving furniture all the time.but you get this anyway unless it gets out of hand.went to the turkish night and the meal.they crammed lots of people into the castle on these long tables to have our meals.quite a good evening on the whole. Our rooms were nice and clean, changed sheets and towels regular.i would have prefered a shower cucible .the pool was a good pool and 1.4 metres deep everywhere plus a kiddies pool.north wales family

We have just returned from our holiday in Kusadasi in turkey staying at the paloma rina a supposed 4 star family hotel, i dont no how it got 4 stars the food in the roof top restaurant made me and my family ill (we only ate there once), the steps into the pool were over a 1 foot drop for each step and the hand rail was dangerously loose which made it very hard for smaller children to get in or out of the pool, the staff were not very friendly towards the english (ok with the dutch), we had our room broken into and the hotel staff wouldnt get the police untill the following day, my eldest child didnt want to sleep in the room after that and it took the hotel 4 days to offer us another room which only slept 3 and we were a family of 4, the air-con was £4 a day but you had to pay for your entire stay 7 or 14 days, the guest laundry didnt excist, our sea view was a building site, the staff have a habit of stouting at the guests children for playing making the smaller children cry and the resturants next door to the hotel play turkish music so loud you could hear it clearly in the room with the doors and windows closed OVER the t.v. until between 2 and 3 in the morning then the hotel staff like to wind up the hotel guard dogs making them bark untill about 5 in the morning every night for the 14 days we were there.
Wonderful Hotel

We arrived at 11.30 at night and were so pleased to see what a lovely hotel we had landed in. The staff are very helpful and polite and the service is second to none. The hotel is very clean and the appartments are spotless. Just a little tip if you arrive at night and want to get some shopping in when you come out of the hotel turn right and about 100 yards up on the left is a proper supermarket that is open until very late and has everything you need at local prices. If you want to go to the town turn left and just keep walking you cannot miss it. The resturant in the hotel on the third floor overlooking the marina is lovely and the food is excellent. If we go back to that area again we would definately stay at the Rina again.

Booked a last minute holiday to Kusadasi, and thought only the "rubbish" would be left, but how wrong we were. The Rina Aparthotel, was extremely clean, both in public areas and in the rooms, the pool was cleaned daily, which for us with two children was very important as we spent most days in it! The rooms are extremely roomy, and the bathroom is huge and maid service is daily. All the hotel staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Ideal location, a 10 minute stroll along the sea front to the main town, near enough to walk and far enough away to escape the noise when we wanted to! Would highly recommend this aparthotel and the resort of Kusadasi. So have a good one!!!!
we will return to Rina

not knowing what to expect when arriving in Kusadasi, we were absolutely stunned when we arrived at Rina Aparthotel (formerly Marina Aparthotel) not only in a perfect location facing the Marina and only a ten minute walk to the centre passing resteraunts and bars with no hassle!!, but the quality and sevice of this hotel is second to none, amazingly clean with fresh towels daily, the drinks and meals are also cheaper than outside!! Try the swimming pool not to be missed We would highly recommend this hotel and definately return, give our kindest regards to all the superb friendly staff Steve and Gaynor, Oldham near Manchester

Marina now rina
from A TripAdvisor Member
Before we went we were looking for Marina aparthotel amongst reviews.None. Apparently it belongs to the Paloma group and they have changed the name to Rina Apparthotel because there is a hotel Marina and it caused confusion. I Cant praise the place enough,Lovely rooms and public areas. We tried the food around the town and it was OK but we kept comming back to Rina , the food and service is second to none. the drinks are cheaper than the town bars Try the Lamb Shepherd it is amazing at £6 a head. Every night they have specials with three course and a free drink. Limited entertainment But Barbecue/Karaoke night was great. They have this guy as head waiter called Rambo he is the most friendly guy I have ever met on holiday. He is so concerned with everyone enjoying themselves and he is so amusing.not just for tips. It is genuine 4* in every way. If anyone goes next year remember Alec and (Naughty lady) Julia to him. We were the last customers in 2004 Oct25th When we left they shut the hotel. Tip, if you book ask for sea view on 4th floor for fantastic views and late sun on your balcony.
the best hotel around

This hotel is excellent. I wouldn't stay anywhere else than the marina. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The hotel its self is beautiful, there is a huge rock feature in the corner of a large pool, there is also a small childrens pool. The Hotel staff can also speak many languages very well, including english, dutch, german and french. If you have any problems or queries during your stay then the Hotel staff will deal with it immediatly. The hotel has 72 rooms which are kept very clean. The bed linnen is changed several times a week followed by fresh towels and a clean waste bin that is changed every day.

We recently got back from our holidays a week ago. I am 40 and my husband 37, we had an absolutely brilliant time and I would recommend this hotel. The hotel was very clean and the staff all very friendly, I will say if you get an odd numbered room the view from the balcony... more
