Elif Star Caves is - Jacky. English woman that runs this place is trying very hard to make her caves comfortable, and shame that somewhat irrational business policy of the hotel proclaims that no extra workers should be hired. Amazing little hotel with 7 cave rooms. The room was beautiful and very clean. The owners (Jacky, Mustafa and the little Elif) were very helpful and kind. The breakfast was abundant and yummy. I think you will hardly (impossibly maybe) find some place better in Goreme for the price (70 ytl for a very large room). Excellent!

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The hosts were friendly, the rooms were so interesting (caves dug into the hillside) and the meals top notch. You could get a western breakfast here, even french toast and maple syrup (a favorite of us North Americans). Jackie works so hard to keep this hotel running well. Great couple of days staying at Elif star,made all the more enjoyable by meeting elif,she is a star. Quiet location,great room, very, very clean,and dont miss the evening meal,all prepared by jacky,always willing to help with any enquiry and offer advice about places or tours in the area. We both felt at home and appreciated the great effort made by jacky if /when we return to cappadocia we shall stay here again,and would recommend to friends to do the same.

We stayed at Elif Star for 3 nights, and it was one of the high points of our trip. The cool cave room was a welcome relief after a day of exploring Cappadocia in the summer heat. Breakfasts were delicious; we liked the choices available (omelette, fruits, French toast: take your pick! If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Cappadocia you simply cannot do better than this lovely family run hotel. I spent 3 fabulous days in Goreme in May & was thoroughly impressed by Elif Star Hotel. Booked on the Net after reading lavish reviews on TripAdvisor - believe me, everything is true! The room is really picturesque, clean and confortable. Jacky, Mustafa and Elif (the owners!) are a nice and friendly family. Breakfast was great as well as dinner. A little paradise in a fabolous village!

I was rather worried that we had booked to stya in Goreme as i thought it might be noisy and busy. Maybe it was ,but Elifstar was prefect. Quiet friendly everything we wanted and needed for our last days in Turkey. All the little touches we enjoy inan expensive hotyel such as slippers and towelling robe were there plus all the personal touches you enjoy in a small hotel. Jacky (one of the owners) welcomed us warmly and very efficiently helped us book tours and transport and gave us some useful advice for the area. Jacky also serves dinner for the guests, which was delicious. The room was very reasonably priced and was actually a cave. The hotel was not too far from the main street – close to everything in Goreme. Highly recommended and excellent value. Just returned from 6 days at the Elif Star. It was a wonderful stay. The rooms are cool and clean with a great view of Pigeon Valley. Jacky is an excellant cook and the breakfasts were superb with a wide choice... the French toast is the best in the world. Plenty of advice given about tours, balloon rides, etc. It is a great place for a break with lots to see and do. I will definitely return and would recommend to everyone.
