Lazy days
from debooloose
2nd time i've visited Naim and his family run hotel who are always very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed 2 weeks of lazing by the pool being waited on, which was just what the doctor ordered. Home cooked food to order (very tasty). Located very centrally but away from the pubs and clubs. Would recommend for a very pleasant relaxed holiday.
Ozturk-My Turkish Paradise

I have just returned from a wonderful 4 week holiday at the Ozturk, as usual my stay couldn't have been better. I have stayed at the Ozturk for several times and have never been disappointed. Naim and his family have only ever showed me respect, and cannot do enough for you. The pool is one of the cleanest I have ever seen and very well maintained. The rooms are more than adequate, the bed linens and towels are always clean and of good quality. If you want an ideal holiday, may I suggest you try the Ozturk for an idyllic and peaceful holiday. The best family run hotel in the Olu Deniz area
from platmic
I have stayed with Naim and his family at Ozturk Hotel and Appartments three times this year. I have now visited 20 times in total over the last 8 years. The service has been consistently excellent. I would not dream of staying anywhere else in the area as I doubt anyone could provide better . From the moment you are welcomed at the airport until the time you leave (to the classical strains of 'Time to say goodbye' ) you are cared for with a personal service second to none. I usually travel with my husband, but I have visited alone, as has my mother, and we have both felt comfortable and safe in this homely environment. Away from the main road and the hustle and bustle of the village, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The rooms are clean, breakfast is cooked to your own taste and served around the crystal clear pool. There are plenty of sunbeds (so no need to act like a German). Reasonably priced if you can combine a stay at this hotel with a cheap flight this will make an all round good value value holiday. Naim provides the entertainment around the bar - at the beginning and end of the season when it is cool at night a roaring fire attracts the residents who chat into the small hours. Friendships are formed and much drink is drunk! Your bar bill can be settled on a drink by drink basis, at the end of the day or end of your stay. Its up to you, but taking the latter option renders your stay as hassle free as an all inclusive, but without the feeling of being tied to one place.
Just like visiting friends

We have visited the Ozturk twice in 2008, as we have also done for the past few years since chancing upon the hotel when walking round the village in 2001 looking for somewhere to stay later that year. The welcome we received on our enquiry convinced us that we would not be disappointed and on our first actual visit we realised that the service provided by Naim and his family was something out of the ordinary. Since then the standard of service and consideration for guests welfare has continued at the same high level and the fact that we every year see many of the same guests returning to enjoy Naim's hospitality would indicate that we are not alone in our views. Indeed we have made many friends at the hotel over the years and know that we will god willing see most of them at the Ozturk in 2009 as their rooms are already reserved. The accommodation is spotless and the pool is clean & peaceful and the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area is happy and friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced and Naim's wife Duygu will provide good quality snacks as required. We would therefore highly recommend the Ozturk as a friendly & comfortable place to stay and Naim is one of the nicest and most caring people you could wish to meet. We would trust him implicitly in every respect & we were very disappointed therefore to read the negative review posted in August, to which we see Naim has sent a reply which does cover most of the points. Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion but in the light of the fact that this is the only poor review on this site, and on another travellers site the Ozturk is rated No.1 in Hisaronu, we would say ''Think twice" before taking any notice of what appears to us to be a somewhat vindictive attack on a very honest and hard working person. We look forward to our next two visits in 2009.
ozturk hotel changed for the worst

i previously wrote on here about this hotelthat i visited in 2005stating what a wonderful holiday we had there! i have just returned from hisaronu this morning and can not say the same! i emailed the owner naim july 2007 asking for a reservation for 3 weeks before i booked my flights of which was granted, after xmas i emailed on several occasions to which i got no reply! january he said he received one but didnt reply back, so april i telephoned asking if all was ok to still visit his hotel his reply was he had now overbooked and 2 weeks i was ok but would i helpby moving out on the 3rd week to his apartment at reduced cost , but this may not happen as someone hadnt confirmed yet! i said ok expecting the price to be the same as it wasnt my fault. on arrival we tried to pay him but he refused to take our money! 8 nights before the end of our holiday he told me we would have to move to his apartment as he had had confirmation of his other guest, and when i asked if i would have to pay more money he told me 'of course' so we had words as i thought this was unfair as other guests had booked after us and were ok to stay in the rooms and not pay extra money!! naims reply "if you dont like it move out" of which quietly we did and found other better accomodation, then he sent rumours round we had stole a towel - i actually clean my floor with better towels than his-...., these were not the only problems we encountered his attitude is apalling, his bar and food bills were incorrect, he falls out with most of his guests especially if you go elsewhere for drinks etc.., and he wont give you a receipt for your accomodation or transport bill, his rooms ALL need updating not just three! and he needs to look at the security round the pool(bad accident whilst we were there).. the quality has certaily gone down hill since we last visited in 2005 and i would never contemplate going to his hotel again..., think twice before you revisit!!!!!!!!!!
Management response from ozturk73

İ am sorry that these customers feel this way. All our staff at Ozturk take great pride in providing personal service for all our guests and we try to meet customers needs at all times. İn response to some of these issues İ have purchased new towels and give customers the opportunity to pay accommodation and bar bills at any time to suit themselves. İ do feel that İ did discuss with these customers the possibility that they would need to change rooms during their stay in advance but İ am sorry that they feel that the position was not made clear. İ am always looking to improve the quality of our service and most of our customers from 2008 have already booked again for 2009. Please contact me if you have any other questions
Wonderful hotel in Turkey
from Celt
I found the Ozturk Hotel and Apartments on the internet. It has a good web site and Naim the excellent manager will respond to your e-mails very promptly. Naim is devoted to his work and is always available unless he's collecting or returning his guests to the airport. The hotel is well sited in a quiet street yet only 200 metres from the resort's main street . The resort is full of restaurants and shops. It is a pleasant village perched a 1000 metres above the sea so the heat is bearable and a welcome relief after a day on the beach in Oludeniz 2 miles away. The Ozturk is a haven of well kept gardens with lovely flowers and mature trees. The excellent pool and adjacent toddlers pool are kept spotlessly clean by Naim personally. There are ample sunbeds which are washed down regularly. The rooms are basic but again everything is provided for a good holiday. Rooms are cleaned and new towels are provided daily. There is a bar, a shaded seating area and a small restaurant adjacent to the pool. An excellent and varied breakfast is included for those on a B&B basis and all the food is fresh and cooked to order - the omlettes are superb. Food is available until very late indeed. Hisaronu, Fethiye and Oludeniz provide all that holidaymakers will want - superb scenery, clean beaches and a host of places to visit including many historic sites for history buffs. I recommend a visit to the deserted Greek village of Kayakoy which is about 2 miles from Hisaronu - you can wander around the deserted houses and churches and eat and drink in some of the nearby tavernas afterwards. The Turkish people are remarkably friendly and curteous. It is only in the local markets that they become a litte overpowering but even then it is all done with good humour. We had a wonderful holiday at the Ozturk and I have no hesitation in recommending it. Gerwyn Morgan Wales
Lovely hotel with personal touch - recommended!
from Midnattsol
The Öztürk Apart Hotel is a lovely calm and quiet place where hospitality, personal touch and customer care come first. I have seldom felt so perfectly taken care of in an apart hotel as here. The rooms are nice and clean (with aircondition) as is the pool. To us it was very important to not only see the tourist places but also get in touch with turkish culture and people. We very much enjoyed our long talks in the night with Naim - he is a fantastic host. In this respect, Öztürk Apart was the perfect place for us. It was our first trip to Turkey and the warm welcome by Naim and his family and their great hospitality left such a great impression on us that we will definitely come back.
Best holiday in Turkey

We have been to Turkey for the past six years, and without a doubt our stay at the Ozturk was the best we have had. Niam the owner really went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and obliging, and the pool was cleaned and maintained everyday. I would have no resevations in recommending this hotel to anyone. We shall definately be going back this year. John Pittman Dec 2006

excellent ozturk hard to beat
from deangrimble
The Ozturk is the most friendly and clean Hotel we have stayed at in Hisaronu, year after year the same people come back which is a testament to how the the Ozturk Hotel is ran, With Naim (owner) and his staff who bend over backwards to accomodate you, you'll find it difficult to better this level of service. Within a 3 minute walk just off the main highstreet but far enough away as not to hear any noise (nightlfe) its ideally situated ,its located with the beautiful and magnificent (Babadag) mountains in the background which is wonderful to look up to. The rooms are cleaned daily and the pool looks clean enough to drink from. We have numerous friends at the Ozturk and look forward to many more years there on our hols
