July 2007. H10 Punta Negra, the location for us was just what we were looking for, a hotel located right on the edge looking over Palma nova bay, yet far enough to be away from any where, it was so quite and and relaxing. Punta Negra is outdated. Time moves on but Punta Negra’s owners haven’t kept pace. We visited this hotel when it was under the original ownership over 30 years ago. Then we used it for a winter getaway. Projecting into the sea on to top of a rocky promontory on this very beautiful Mallorcan coast Punta Negra is unique. This is not a four star resort to me. What a lovely hotel if you want to recharge the batteries. The only downside for some could be it's remoteness. There isn't anything around it in terms of bars or clubs. If you're looking for the bright lights and partying you'll have to get a taxi (or walk) to Palma Nova. Personally. We went to Mallorca completely unsure what we would find and ended up in a beautiful hotel with perfect beaches, warm seas and great access to a fantastic, picturesque island! The location is perfect for travelling around the island's west and north coasts and Palma itself is only a short trip by bus (although we did have trouble finding the bus back again!). stayed here with husband for our anniversary in october the hotel was lovely We stayed in the new part , rooms spotless and spacious and we had a great view overlooking the bay and could hear the sea laping the shores all day and night. The private beach was fantastic, we had great weather for 4 days and just lazed on the beach after a a buffet breakfast with every kind of food and free cava and enjoyed the peace and quiet cant wait to go back.

Having spent ten days in the Punta Negra with my 20 year old son and girlfriend, I initially was a little worried that the AGE GROUP of clients would not be suitable. However since the hotel has been taken over by the H 10 hotels group ,it had indeed just gone from strength to strength(in spite of some bar staff feeling that the clients of today are NOT hte class of yesteryear !) This hotel is ideal if you are looking for a very quiet and relaxing holiday with none of the usual "package holiday hotel" traits. There is no evening entertainment for example and guests, we found, were mainly German or Spanish. The hotel itself is set in gardens with many trees and plenty of shade. We spent 4 nights at the Punta Negra at the end of April 05. The bus from Palma takes you to the top of the road (Roundabout No. 4, look out for the big number in the centre of the roundabout), the taxi from Palma costs about 17 euros. The hotel has big gardens, 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool + 2 small sheltered beaches with crystal waters. The room was very generously proportioned with its own balcony + large bathroom.
