Hotel Kayahan

The day before we had been reading the reviews on this hotel and decided to give it a try.We arrived in kas by bus and were approached by a young man who wanted to know if we were looking for a place to stay. I didn't answer but he gave me a brochure and when I read the name it was kalayan. So we went with him in his van and he showed us the hotel. We stayed there for 3 nights and were very pleased. A friend had recommended the Kayahan to us and we emailed direct to book, Deniz organized transfers from Dalaman and a taxi was waiting for us on arrival at 1 am to take us to Kas. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage children. We had a great time during our 10 days at the Kayahan and it was generally agreed to be one of our best holidays. Really enjoyed our stay here. Hotel Kayahan is very nice, conveniently located but on a quiet side street, amazing views of the water from our hotel room balcony, nice pool and free access to the pool chairs at another hotel closer to the water. Hotel has a great rooftop deck with a view of the whole city and the water. Manager Deniz is very friendly, fluent in English, and was nice enough to pick us up from the bus station. One of the better values on our trip to Turkey.

when I read the review about them presenting a huge drinks bill at the end of the stay I was naturally cautious. No surprise that when I offerred to paY FOR MY DRINKS THEY WERE VERY INSISTENT THAT i PAID AT THE END. In fact I was made to feel embarrassed when I asked to pay immediately. I cant understand why they don't ask you to sign a tab as after all this is only a small hotel and lets face it , they watch your every move like hawks. - they look at what you are eating all the time and try to steer you towards taking portions of the... more

We are a middle aged couple from Melbourne Australia who love to travel. Hotel Kayahan was recommended to us by a hotel owner in Selcuk so we phoned on ahead for a booking. Deniz and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly his young cousin Jenk who was working there in his school holidays. In nearly 5 weeks in Turkey, this was the best value for money hotel that we stayed at. For this mature couple, the room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. The views from the roof top dining area were fabulous, and the food very good, including such little luxuries as freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. I stayed at Kayahan hotel in April 2007 and I liked it a lot. Kas itself is probably a best hideaway from those concrete bunkers all over the coasts. Although it does not have a great sand beaches, the town is a great example of Mediterranean culture as I imagine it to be. Hotel Kayahan is very clean and comfortable place to stay. My friend and I (two New Zealanders) spent a week on Turkey's south west coast - traveling between Antalya and Kas, and had an amazing time. We stayed in Kas for the last three days of our trip and really wished we could've stayed much longer. Kas is a very beautiful place with lots to see and do, including boat trips to a sunken city, pirates cave and ancient tombs and castles. There were also lots of markets, shops and restaurants. The manager met us at the bus station and told us of the hotel. He arranged tours for us and explained what to do. The hotel was prıced very modestly as was the food. The food was exceptionai by any standard. The room was clean and the staff very attentive. The other guests were from many European countries and also some Turkish families and couples as well. Kas ıs a beautiful coastal town with many good shops and restaurants. There are lots of excursions one can take. A visıt of a week is tıme welll spent.

Have just stayed in Kayahan for 4 nights Room 308. Excellent price of YTL35 for two - +/- €10 each. Clean room, 2 clean beds, brand new bedcovers and good pillows, although strangely no top sheet to preserve bed spread. Bathroom door wouldn't shut without strong encouragement. Shower mixer was tempermental but no shortage of hot water. Fantastic view from balcony - small but room enough for two chairs - great for sunset watching - if only the pesky boungainvillia wasn't so prolific. Imagine, blossoms blocking the view.
