we had two weeks in this hotel, dont know where to start, the cockroaches in the bed room wasnt so bad,the air conditioning that never worked, even after swopping rooms, the terrible food, when there was some..badly maintained rooms, the staff where not intreasted because of romours of the hotel closing in october...in the end after paying half board,we ate out,and used other hotels for entertainment(fourati hotel)(byblos hotel)wish we would have stopped at one of these....wouldnt recomend bel air to anyone....plus half of the hotel was closed i:e bowling ally, gym, but still advertised on-line...

We arrived a week after four other members of our family, so there were ten of us aged from fifties thirties, twenties and a twelve and six year old. the staff couldnt have been nicer especially Picasso who made each child feel special, there was water sports during the day with a show on every night. We had fire eaters, strong man act, Irish night etc. I must admit I was a bit disappointed on arrival as the place didn't look too good, but we had been travelling for eleven hours and were quite grouchy. After we rested and looked around we found it to be acceptable, the beds and towels were changed regularly and there was a wide variety of food. chips and mash were included. There is a bar inside the hotel which serves frys, paninis, chips, steaks etc. The staff work really hard to make your stay enjoyable and make an effort to get to know your name. taxi's into the medina (where the beach and shops are) is 5 dinar which is less that two pounds 50p. For the price £275 half board from Ireland I think we got a great deal. Would go again if the weather was a bit cooler, it was over 40 degrees
- Advice: Its a beautiful place but its under developed, alot of construction or demolition goining on

This hotel is a brilliant establishment . The staff are grate and helpfull. The worst part of the the experiance was the food i would have to say . The rooms are at standerd rate if you want to go on a family holidy . the shops and pubs are very close posible about 5 muinits away . The beach is close and there are always staff around to help you . It is an experience you will never forget . I would recroment this hotel for familys who are looking for a quiet holiday .

We hada very welcoming say here. All were very nice and helpful. The entertainment was very good and they made you want to get involved. We were there at a hard time when the volcano went off and Thomas cook took care of everything, so we had no worries (thanks Lorrain and team.) The hotel is a bit rough at the edges, but the people more than make up for this.
- Advice: Good family fun and nice people

Hotel very nice with great staff and entertainment. Rooms very well kept and clean, maid service daily. Food was very good with plenty of choice. Onsite facilities were good with great indoor pool as weather was bad. Resort was not so good as most places were derelict and there was nowhere to go, the beach was awful and dirty. Our next visit will be back to Sousse as it has a lot more to offer and is geared up for tourists.

We have just retuned from the Belair Hotel, and what a disgusting hotel this is. The rooms were dirty, split matresses, sheets that did'nt fit and stained blankets. Bathroom with craked and broken floor/wall tiles stained bath, rusted shoer/towel rail and towels which were grey/threadbare/stained and mould/fungus on the wallin the bathroom and bedroom. Dining room was not much better, had to find your own cutlery most of the time, stained tableclothes, food either cold or dried out and very repetative, extortionate bar prices. No heating the the main hotel areas, and little or no entertainment. Also music blaring out of bar/cheersbar and entertainers bedroom until 3/4am every day. Bowling alley/tennis courts advertised have not been in use for several years. Dont go to this hotel whatever the price!
- Advice: DONT GO THERE

Stayed here last week and I will never be back!A serious look by operators has to be taken into the safety of families here. Hotel was not in safe repair several accidents occurred while I was there, lifts broken, wires hanging out, insects in pool water, toilets cleaned once a day resembling cesspools ay night(rooms not bad cleaned daily maids nice). Locals free to use bars of hotel coming and going with only one intention, amenities not open no bowling alley, no gym facilities. Price of drinks two to three times that of bars outside, breakfast terrible, food at dinner fine but not for Kids. Staff at bars unfriendly found it a chore to do anything for you no smile without a hefty tip, reception not much better, entertainment staff worked hard no doubt worked even harder to try and bag tourists wives and daughters also. Tunisian opinion of tourists is they provide them with opportunities to fleece for evey last dinar and pester and accost in the most prevvy way all woman no matter what age,not to provide a service and a good and safe holiday, if thats what you want then this is your hotel but for families no way! I love to party as much as the next maybe more but mad music keeping half the hotel awake til six from ajoining bar/disco where tourists are as safe as a snowball in hell. This hotel leaves me feeling only disgusted my daughter would not leave the confines of the place and yet was still hit on by men my wife even while at dinner when alone was hit on this all by staff in front of my young son. people who had previously been at this hotel for the last six years have told me the change in the place is unbeleivable and would not be returning. Avoid this place unless what I have wriiten above is what you desire because that and worse is what you will get.

we travel to bel air hotel on the 25th may 2011 for 2 weeks, 2 female adults and a female child 5yrs, the hotel was very clean, and our joining rooms also very clean, our rooms were cleaned every day and fresh bed sheets and towels, our rooms over looked the pool area, so a nice veiw, every thing was open the bowling, the bar/club, and BBQ area, the director from the hotel welcome us with open arms, he is new to the hotel, and was on top form through out our whole holiday, a very nice friendly man, my daugther has had the best holiday ever, the life guard billy was the best, my daugther can now swim with no arm bands, so super stuff,i would like to say a masstive thank you to all the staff from the Entertainment team, bar staff to cleaners and gardener, you guys really made our holiday.i fully give this hotel 100% we felt very safe here.and can't wait to return.
