Villa Daffodil

My sister and I recently stayed at the Villa Daffodil and would like to report the excellent service we received there. We were given the choice of two rooms, the staff were courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was simple and very fresh. The rooms were clean and comfortable, we asked for softer pillows and were promptly supplied with them. The garden/pool area was well cared for and very colourful with the abundant floral displays. Very clean and well-run hotel. Our room was had a nice bathroom and a view of the beautiful garden. Hotel is a 15-minute walk to town along the bay (or you can take a minibus). Breakfasts were marginal (Tang instead of orange juice). The staff was helpful, but not nearly as friendly and other Turkish hotels we stayed at. Only place we stayed in Turkey where they charged for Internet and safe.

I loved my stay here in May of 2007 - the hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful and the location couldn't be more perfect! It's a short walk or bus ride down to the city center along a beautiful harbor road, and the hotel itself is just gorgeous. Lots of hanging flowers and plants and a very tropical feel. The swimming pool is an added bonus, but the clincher for me was the high-speed internet available. The photos on the website made Villa Daffodil look like a charming boutique hotel. Not in real life. We had a small dark room at the back of the property. There was no window -- the only glass was in the frame of the entry door. There were no towels, and the bathroom was flooded. (It took 3 requests to obtain towels). The so-called "patio" which is advertised is nothing more than a small area in front of the entry door marked by posts from which guests hang their laundry to dry. Booked a very last minute cheap week away & decided to go for Villa Daffodil. Wanted somewhere quiet, relaxing, chilled, away from noise with pretty scenery and we got just that. Location: Situated just across a narrow road from the pretty Bay of Fethiye. The road is quiet, although it was October so could get busier in peak season. It's a 10 min scenic walk overlooking the bay & marina to the main centre of Fethiye therefore the Daffodil is well away from the main town traffic. I stayed at Villa Daffodil for 2 weeks with my mom, and throughout the time we were there we had a great holiday. The hotel is a lovely place to stay with nice rooms, a good pool, great restaurant and amazing staff! We enjoyed the holiday and our stay at Villa Daffodil so much we have booked another 2 week stay there for next year!

Although, we very much enjoyed the beautiful region of Turkey that Fethiye is nestled in the only trouble we had in the whole of our stay was with the Villa Daffodil! Having booked for 12 nights in advance you would have thought that nothing could be simpler when coming to pay the bill - unfortunately, this was not the case. We enjoyed a lovely stay in Villa Daffodil in July - great, clean room overlooking the pool, walking distance to the centre of town, breakfast on the terrace with views of the marina. Unfortunately when we came to pay our bill we were placed in the embarrassing situation of being charged for nine days even though we had stayed for eight nights. We have travelled widely in all continents and have never, ever come across a hotel that charges by the day. My husband and I and another couple stayed one night at the Villa Daffodil in June, 2005. This small hotel was clean and comfortable, had a great view of a small harbor, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were on the small side, but had a cute enclosed porch with french doors. Although we had a car, we used Fethiye's bus service to Old Town which went right in front of the hotel. Suprise but not a pleasant one! Villa Daffodil is renovated with taste and if you are lucky to get a room at the back of the property, around the pool area you will enjoy, maybe, your vacation there. If you get the "best" rooms acording with hotel's staff, in top off their restaurant (where the music is played up to one in the night) the picture is completly different.
