Hadrianus Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of a 14 day journey with a rental car travelling from Dalaman to Antalya. Of the different hotels we stayed at, this was one of the nicest and was very good value. Our room was large with nice furnishings in a style in keeping with the area ( Antalya's old town ) The room had air conditioning, tv and a modern clean bathroom with hairdryer and shower over a bath. I booked this hotel, as I wanted a cheap option in the centre of the old town. The location could not be better. However, it is easy to miss the hotel entrance, as it looks like a large house from the outside, the signage is very subtle. It is in the same small street as the Ozman hotel. I was not expecting to stay in such a luxurious and friendly hotel for the price that I paid (only 50 euros for the room). My wife and I stayed here in September and it was a wonderful experience. The proprietors were some of the friendliest and most accommodating we've had in Turkey, and that's saying a lot for a country so well known for these traits. The room was very clean, charming, and well apportioned, feeling more like luxury Turkish accommodations than our five star hotel in Istanbul. We had a tastefully furnished large room with dark wooden floorboards and lovely kilims, lots of nice touches and very modern bathroom. Had to leave early in the morning so didn't get a chance to have breakfast in the large garden but the owner kindly made us very tasty sandwiches as part of a packed breakfast. And exceedingly reasonably priced.

The Hotel Hadrianus was a very pleasant surprise. We'd booked based on a few photos of the hotel, and since we were only staying one night thought we'd just take our chances. This hotel turned out to be the nicest mid-budget hotel we found in Turkey. Recently and very tasefully remodeled, with a lovely garden, great breakfast and kept extremely clean.
