Sotavento Apartments

Three adults went to this hotel and it was the worst time of our lives.
We arrived at the hotel late in the evening and were issued a downstairs room by the pool. There were no locks on the windows as they had broken. The toilet leaked and wobbled, the mattresses were full of stains, the sheets had holes in, there were electrical cables hanging from the light fittings. We asked for someone to come and look at the cooker and he told my mum in very little English ‘you no cook with nothing on feet’.
We asked to move rooms, the staff was very unhelpful and spoke little English. The new room was just as bad. There were cables hanging out of electrical fittings, the fridge door wouldn’t close so the same man came and sawed the leg off the fridge and said ‘ok’. The same man was later cleaning the pool????.
As my mum was looking out of the apartment, she saw someone climbing out of the window of the downstairs apartment beneath us. He had robbed the apartment. My parents went and saw the reception staff whom didn’t understand what they were telling them and did not seem to care. Mum tried to find out whose room it was but the staff did not seem bothered again and mum went into the bar to see if the guests were in there.
Overall the holiday was the worst ever we could not wait to go home. Any one whom has booked a holiday at this hotel I would seriously suggest you change to another.
