Just come back from staying here and completely agree with a lot of the previous comments made. The Savoia is an average three star hotel. The food was OK, we were full everyday but we wouldn't have ordered the food if we were out in a restaurant. The breakfast was fine and there was plenty of it to fill you up for a day on the slopes. What I would probably advise is that if you are a fussy eater, don't stay here as you'll end up eating out every night!
The towels are the biggest tea towels I've ever seen and very odd to dry with. I had to wrap a table cloth around my hair as that is what the hand towels are!!! Very odd and very ineffective in drying my hair!!!
Our main problem here was a group of 30 who ruined our stay by running through the corridors of the hotel screaming till 4am every morning!!! The hotel staff did deal with this though and the latter end of the week was quieter!!
Overall a very basic, comfortable hotel! Ideally situated for the slopes!! Although I wouldn't be tempted to stay again!!

The location of the hotel for skiing is absolutely perfect.
Our room was small, but very clean but yes they still have the low lighting, which makes reading very difficult. They also had signs up saying that you could not use the electricity in the room for hair driers etc - but it was obvious that everyone ignored it as you could hear the people in the adjacent rooms.
The bath and hand towels are a very similar material to our dish towels here in the UK - not ideal for drying yourself with. Our room was on the first floor and to the side, we had to sleep with our window open at night even though it was minus 4 outside as the room was too warm and stuff, but the people at the back of the hotel had cold rooms and showers.
The food was rather unexciting with the same things for breakfast each day. You ordered your next evening's dinner the night before however if there wasn't anything you liked on the menu they would try and accommodate you. I think they catered better for vegetarians than they did the children.
The restaurant was staffed by Romanians, who were very nice but overworked as the family who owned gave out the orders but would not lift a dish themselves.

Spent a great week in Passo Tonale. We found the Savioa to be very comfortable.
Food we thought was excellent. Our room was very warm & very roomy for a party of three.
Bbar man Max was excellent company & could not do enough for you.
The hotel is ideally situated for slopes, just across the road ski school fantastic, no queuing for lifts.
I choose the hotel & resort as it was a budget holiday but could not fault it in any way - would definitely recommend.

Very Basic Hotel, so I guess you get what you pay for...
Yes, the Location is excellent, & it was clean & tidy. However, the towels are nothing more than large tea towels, whilst sheets weren't changed all week.
We found the rooms were cold due as much to the heating being on timing & not room adjustable.
The low lit, energy saving room lighting, made reading almost impossible, so tried to spend as little time in the room as possible - made difficult by the fact that resort nightlife is non existent.
The Food was average: Our experience was to try & get to meal times early else they run out of salad, & the food gets less/colder. The bread rolls get staler as the week progresses & you have to continually ask for extras such as sauce.
The Sauna was also broken, so unable to relax tired muscles with just a shower.
The staff seemed a bit off on the first day, but I guess it was a long day for them as they chilled out more as the week progressed & were friendly/helpful.
Overall, I'd only rate the hotel average.

This is a well equipped and family friendly hotel. The staff were polite and could not do enough for you. The food was great and very healthy (No Chips).
Situated ideally for the slopes. I will definitely return to this hotel. We where leaving early one day (pre breakfast) to ski at Madonna Campilago and without asking the staff had arranged a packed lunch!
Superb service and value for money. Max, the head barman, was fantastic and was always to hand to help. Excellent!
