Aravan Evi Family Hotel

During our 3 night stay the Yazgan family who run this small hotel made it one of the most friendly and best hotels we have ever stayed in. The home made food was excellent and we ate there everynight. Ayvali is a lovely village not far from Urgup and Okan the son planned routes for us to take in all the delights of the Cappadocia region.The best places we visited were not on the normal tourist trail. 10 out of 10

On a friend's recommendation, my mom and I stayed here for four nights and, like my friend, found it to be our favorite hotel in Turkey. Five of us really wanted a small village respite type of place to "come home to" at the end of days spent touring sites of local interest, and found it here at Aravan Evi. My sister, brother-in-law and I just returned from a 16-day tour of Turkey. We did not join a tour group and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously, especially during the last few days spent in Cappadocia. We had lunch at Aravan Evi in late September during our visit to Cappadocia. This was arranged by our tour guide as we had said we wanted to experience village life - not just look at ruins all day and every day. Yusuf, the owner, served us personally. This was his grandfather's house and Yusuf was born here. He used to work as a tour bus driver but always harboured the dream of restoring his grandfather's house and turning it into a B&B.
