Marti Resort de Luxe

We have just returned from the Hotel, and had a few problems here. When you arrive the first impression of the resort is very good, as the main public areas are very nice indeed, the staff ( apart from on reception ) are excellent, and really like kids. Our room was very disappointing, I would say it was of 2 * quality, and this was after we complained about the first room and moved to a better one. we arrived after an hours journey arriving at 1am and very exhausted. we entered the lobby very impressive with marble floors and luxury seating. on booking our holiday we just had sea views in a basic room. so we were booked in and the bell boy took out luggage and will followed him walking arround the pools that were lit up and a fountain in all colours. we arrived at our accomadation. i looked at my husband thinking this is odd. the front of the of our room was a huge arched window with a centre door being dark we thought oh maybe the... more

I have just returned from what was a lovely holiday at the Marti Resort Deluxe. I am a travel agent who is very lucky to travel the world and stay in some truly wonderful places, therefore my standards are very high and I can be at times overly critical. There are standards rooms (inland view); sea view rooms; suites (sea view) and deluxe villas (town houses on 2 floors). I stayed in a sea view room and this is a must as the views are lovely. this was our first time to this part of turkey. we liked marmaris, but we loved icmeler. there is a lovely coastal walk you can do from one to the other. the first thing that struck us when we arrived was the breathtaking view out to sea, from our hotel balcony. the hotel is surrounded by mountains and pine forests, the swifts and swallows just added to the beauty of the resort, we had a nest on our balcony and were priveledged to see the babies fly the nest! it was a little bit of heaven!!we went just short to of the season starting and so... more

The view looking out to sea from one of the top floor landings of the Marti was breath taking. unfortunatly a lot of the rooms have not got good views. They are either looking into another block, carpark or trees, but then you are not in your rooms long so its something most people put up with for the bonus of such a lovely hotel, grounds and pool areas and also the perfect location. 10 mins from nightlife and right on the beach. We have just returned from the Marti Resort Hotel,Icmeler for the 4th time, but i must add that we normally go in July. The weather was superb-28deg compared to the normal 40 deg we get in July. However, this was the last week of the season and was much quiter.The normally superb entertainment in the hotel was vertually non-existant.The evening shows were appalling-if they even bothered to do one.There was no daytime entertainment to speak of...normally games round the pool for adults and kids.The normally excellent choice of food... more

My rating is based on the fact that it is a four star plus hotel. The grounds are very nice with clean pool areas and the animation team were superb and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. However that is as good as it gets. We did not have a sea view room that we booked in the uk, apparently they overbooked, but we were offered one two days after checking in as long as we paid £12.00 per night. this is the second time we have been to this hotel and i would go back tomorrow if i could, the hotel is beautiful and clean and the rooms are lovely, the food was ok but some nights we did eat out if we did not like the look of it but this again was a nice change because there are some really good restaurants in icmeler, the location of the hotel is probably the best in icmeler right on the beach and two minutes walk to canal area were there are shops and restaurants. the staff are helpful and really good with the kids and i would not... more

i just saw the article obout the marti hoteland couldnt disagree with it more.I went to said hotel in june with my friend my sister and my mother (65)she also is a vegetarian and liked the fact that they always bent over backwards to please.We had a fantastic time in the hotel and coulnt find any faults whatsoever.the food was outstanding and the service very polite and as efficient as you expect from staff who seemed to be working day and night for probably much less money than we would put up with.the rooms are very clean and tidy and i... more

my wife and i arrived here 29th April 2004 for two weeks half board, first impresions were good, the cases were taken up to the room for us and although we did not have a sea view we could see the mountains from the back of the hotel. the room was fantastic, split level and spotless, however do not take drinks from the mini bar the prices are ridiculously expensive (£2 for a small bottle of water, £4 for a bottle of beer!), they also charge if you use the mini bar to store your own drinks Beware it cost us £50 after the two weeks.
