Marti Myra

I booked a weeks holiday for myself, husband, son (12) and daughter (7), through Thomas Cook a week before we went. The rooms were basic but cleaned everyday and the beds and towels changed and I could not fault the maids service at all. Our air con worked fine and we had a fridge in our room which had 2 bottles of water left each day. Just back from wonderful 1 week all inclusive stay at Marti Myra. Booked holiday last min via Thomas Cook for family (all adults). 2 hour transfer from airport (Antalya). Marti Myra is a very large complex . 2 large tiered pools vast majority 1.5m deep. Private beach. Plenty sun of loungers. Great beach towel service. Marti Myra would be great for families with young kids as lots for them to do and entertainment,;1 hour show at night for them in amphitheatre. We stayed for 7 days at the end of September. Never before seen so miserable condition of facilities. Don’t believe that it has renovation on 2008 – it is just for reception. Air condition doesn’t work. When I asked to staff, answer was: “yes, we know, it doesn’t work in whole hotel”. Room’s floor was cleaned up just on 3rd day. Terrible situation in restaurant - no place were sit, queue for coffee cups, fresh orange juice (no another juice in breakfast). We are so disappointed… (-) Facilities; room service; staff;... more

We just returned from 5 days in Hotel, were my family stayed in 2 rooms: one double with baby, and other room for three other kids - ages 15 to 9. As many of other reviews here - the recommendation is much depends of what you care most. So the high side: 1. This by far was the best holiday i have ever been on, in terms of pools, activites(canoeing,sailing,parasailing, volleyball) you name it they have it. The grounds were great, its a massive complex so you could never run out of things to do! My brother was 3 at the time and he loved it! The rooms were kept really well and staff were all so friendly. Me, my mother and my 2 children ages 1 and 3 years old have stayed at Marti Myra for 2 weeks in the middle of July 2007. We chose this hotel becauce it is all-inclusive, has alot of greanery and gardens (which is rear in Turkey most of the hotels are new and have newly planted trees and gardens which do not provide enough shade), and for grately advertised childrens program. Marti-Myra was a great place for family holiday when we stayed there. I won't repeat former reviews, most of them truely describing: - excellent food, open handed "all-included" meaning everything, food and drinks. We've stayed at Marti Myra for 10 days and had quite mixed feelings about this trip. There were equal amount of ups and downs, which I am showing below. POSITIVES: - Friendly staff. Everyone, and i mean, everyone, was extremely friendly, especially towards small children. Hotel resides in a beautiful garden. a huge one... walking from the room to the reception is long and sweaty... the main issues are: 1.room air condition was not working (we changed 3 rooms - all the same...). I even slept one night on a pool chair outside... 2. Staff was very rude (and hardly spoke english... they were russian origin, meant for a russioan croud). The hotel complex is very big and the nature is beautiful. However, for the 5 stars hotel, it should be more clean. Also, the furnature is pretty old (we were in regular room, maybe it's better in VIP). But, compiments for the chef(s)! The food is excellent, there is great choice and everything is delicious!
