El Corso Hotel

I stayed at this hotel with a group of 5 other girls in August. We stayed for a long weekend as part of a hen party. We did not choose this hotel - we were transferred there after the travel company messed up our booking at another hotel. I base my rating on the quality of the hotel at the price that we paid for the original hotel which was £70 each based on two people sharing a double room for 3 nights.
The hotel is situated in a great location, close to the harbour, however, we were promised a beach but did not get one. You can pick up a taxi boat right outside the hotel which takes you to Ibiza town and costs 2euros each way, its only a 15 minute ride and is quite fun. San Antonio is a 20 minute cab ride (about 30euros)
Despite the other reviews, we enjoyed the breakfast - lots of choice such as eggs, sausages, cereal, pastries and fruit. They will even cook you an omelette to order if you ask nicely. Stay away from the orange juice though, it tastes like cleaning fluid.
The only bad comment I will make about this hotel is that our room was quite dingy and had a really strong smell of stale cigarettes which they tried to counteract with bleach and the end result was not pleasant and did tend to make our clothes smell. There were also some very disturbing pictures on the walls!
On the whole, we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this hotel for those who would like to experience the clubbing/bar scene without having to stay in the centre of it as Talamanca itself is very peaceful.
