Amazing
The Maca Kizi was spectacular. The rooms were white with splashes of colors, like orange, very classy. Even the shampoos were classy (they were amazing Aqua di Parma shampoos and conditioners which are $45 for a travel size bottle) The view was so pretty. Considering we just traveled around Greece for 2 and a half weeks, we wanted a place to rest and the Maca Kizi was the best place. The food was great. They had just hired a new chef who was from Spain and we ate there a majority of the time. Also from the hotel you can walk along the coast... more
stunning location - things to improve on though
We stayed here for two nights for our wedding anniversary. We were staying in nearby Yalikavak with friends and my husband surprised me with a mini-break in our break! The hotel is gorgeous, the layout of the hotel is done with style, the gardens, pool area and restaurant areas are very nice. The room was simple, but clean and modern. We had stunning views over the sea and bay and it was lovely to have drinks on the small balcony. Aqua di Parma products in the bathroom were a winner and the extras very useful. Breakfast was very simple,... more
Favorite spot in Turkey
Stayed at the Maca Kizi in July for 6 days and loved it. It is by far the best place to stay in the area. It is not located in Bodrum, it is in a small town about a 30 minute drive from Bodrum town The property is beautiful. There are small gardens and planting areas throughout the property and the fuschia bougainvilllea seems to cover everything, and it looks so beautiful. The deck/dock at the waters edge, which is the largest and nicest in the area is the best part of hotel, replaces what would be a beach. There are no beaches in... more
Absolutely Enchanting!
If you crave chrome and smoked glass, the usual five star stuff, then you will loathe this hotel! This establishment really is a mind, body and sole experience. The whole ambience this place generates is really quite special. From the respectful attentive staff, the stripped bare chic of the rooms, and the exceptional quality of the food, all add up to make this hotel one of the most special hostelries I have ever had the pleasure to frequent! Quite honestly, words fail me! Out of this world.
Keep Away !!!
If you are open to a big rip off , you will like this place . Rooms are mid class , breakfast is very poor . And if you didnt see a hotel manager / owner , walking around with bare dirty foot , opened shirt showing his belly and hairy chest till now , you will see one there . Cem Arkan
Stunning Settting and Scene
We had a great stay at the MacaKizi during the last few days of "the season". As others on this site have mentioned, the majority of the staff, although sweet, had a real obstacle with the fact that they could barely communicate with the guests. The rooms are minimalist, at best, but this is not the type of place you stay to "hang in the room". The restaurant, the lunch grill (amazing) and the beach docks are all spectacular for people watching and relaxing. The proximity to all the "action" of turbuktu made it an ideal location for our... more
Breathteaking waterside views
Our stay at this hotel was one of the highlights of our visit to Turkey. We specifically chose the Maca Kizi from among the other boutique hotel options in Turkbukku in order to take advantage of the unique opportunities for sunbathing and swimming off the waterside decks. The view from our upper level seaview room was breathtaking and more than made up for the extra stairs we needed to climb in order to reach the water. The reception staff were able to communicate perfectly well in English, and while the poolside and restaurant staff... more
Location overcomes the service
Outstanding overall experience. The "beach" (no sand but rather decking over the water) is completely relaxing and easy jump off/on for boating. The rooms are well appointed. We had a jr. suite with a sea view which I would suggest. It is an easy walk to the other spots in Turkbuku, yet not right on top of the nightlife. Unfortunately, the staff struggle with english and the service is spotty. For example, the hotel booked a car and driver to take us to the historic points of interest in Bodrum on the one day of the week they are closed... more
most fantastic place in the med
If you really want to saty at a place where you are surroundest by very stylish and cool people, amazing seawater and more than friendly staff, the Maca Kizi is THE place to go to at the aegan coast of Turkey. We have stayed at many places in the region, but this one is definetly the best. The location is great the chill-out music played somewhere in the background is fantastic and the food is amazing! The rooms are modern and simple (note: no TV in the room as the Maca-Kizi is a place where you relax) but serve your needs.
