Le Meridien Cancun Hotel

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Le Meridien in late May. As this was my second trip to Cancun (my first was as the feared spring breaker) and his first, we both had a terrific time. After spending a day in a room overlooking a construction project, we requested a room with a better view. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms are all marble. The staff was friendly and couldnt do enough for you. most of the rooms have a partial view of the ocean. the food at the hotel was very good. i liked that they replaced my towels after dinner. i didnt have to wait until the next morning for housekeeping. the hotel was a short cab ride to the night life. it was a great hotel. i loved it.

my husband and i spent 4 days and 3 nights at le meridien in cancun. we got a really good deal for our room through hotels. we have also stayed at the meridien in phuket but it wasn't comparable to this one. we both enjoyed very much. the hotel is really simple yet elegant, cozy, and clean. the beach is clean and nice also. service wasn't up to what we expected and food/drinks are overpriced. we found out jw marriot(only one hotel away) has better food/service and spa. we paid less and got better food there. their seafood dinner buffet is... more

May 2003 ~ Review of our stay at Le Meridien in Cancun.First, why the review? We spent 7 nights here in mid-May.Location: A bit South of the more commercial "bar/party scene", we loved this area of the beach. It's a simple, cheap matter to jump on any of the busses (which come every minute) and arrive within 5 minutes at any destination on the Zona Hotelera.Beach: Wonderful, like any of the east-facing beaches along the strip. White, soft sand is groomed regularly by machine. We don't know if this a service of Le Meridien, or whether all beaches are groomed - but it is very nice. We stayed at the Le Meridien at the end of January and found it to be great. It was very quite and peaceful. The spa was great and also the pool was great. Our room was nice except for the construction going on all day(down below) . Request a pool side room to get the best view. We paid $225 per night for a king oceanside room with balcony. Overall I would stay there agian with no questions asked.

Just returned from Le Meridien with my fiancee'. Booked through Leading Hotels of the World for $210 per night (February and not overly crowded)and upon arriving we were 1st treated to a juice cocktail and hot towels and 2nd, upgraded to a King, non-smoking room with balcony. Excellent, very clean property located directly beside the Ritz-Carlton. Rooms were very clean and floors inside and out were Marble. Staff was very friendly and english speaking. We booked our vacation through Expedia for Le Meridien. Ground transportation to and from the hotel (provided by Amer Exp) was good and timely. Le Meridien - Bad First While the hotel is very nice, the floors are marble and there are no carpets. Thus, every sound in the hallway (and there are many) is amplified into your room. Our family of 3 with our 4 1/2 year old daughter had a ton of fun at LeMeridian last week. This hotel has the facilities of a large 5 star hotel but has far fewer rooms. Therefore, the facilities including the swimming pools, gym, the penguin club(for kids), the restaurants and the spa are not packed with visitors. We had a room with a balcony next to the ocean. I was so impressed with the Le Meridien- service was excellent and very attentive. I think that this hotel may be the best kept secret Cancun has. Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh squeezed juice and wet hand towles- such a great welcoming gesture. The room (which was the Expedia- Standard) was great- although we did not have a balcony which you would have if chose a Deluxe room the windows slide open and they are almost floor to ceiling. You cannot go wrong with any of the rooms- I would suggest the 8th floor for it is the top floor... more
