Nippon Hotel

i've stayed in nippon for 7 nights. it was really nice hotel especially between that area's hotels. it has got good rooms, LCD tv, fitness, complimentary water and tea coffee set-up during the staying... all of them was great but first of all they have superb staff. thanks for 7 nights that you've provided friendly

I stayed 4 nights at the Nippon. The first 3 nights of my 2 week trip and the last night before I flew out of Istanbul. I thought the room was pretty nice, but it was stuffy. We opened the window to get some air, but it was kind of noisy. I finally figured out the AC and lowered the temperature and it was much better. The bathroom was clean but on the small side, not much space to put out your stuff. The hotel is adequate, our room was simply, but nicely furnished, clean and quiet. It was quite cool, however, and all efforts to get some heat or blankets were ignored. Friends in our group were not so lucky; one found his room dirty and the noise from toilets on other floors intolerable. Another's room was always overheated. I guess it depends which room you are in. The hotel location is good--many restaurants and the shopping boulevards are right outside. The breakfast is very nice. Well its been a couple of years since I last stayed at the Nippon hotel in Istanbul. Since my last visit, the hotel has been completely refurbished and the rooms look very modern and clean. I was actually very happy and impressed with how the hotel and my room looked and settled down nicely for a short one night stay there on my way home from business in Europe. Great location, walking distance from the centre (Istiklal Caddesi) and night life. Service is not particularly good. Rooms are ok with nice flat screens, but beds are not very comfortable. Reception is not particularly helpful, it took me two days to get a iron and ironing board. Breakfast was not bad, open bufet was generous. Overall, it is ok experience, but bad service in Turkish standards.

the hotel nippon is a descent city hotel and offers good value for money. the rooms are clean and fairly modern and the bathrooms are tiny but functional clean and modern. unfortunately, the hotel has no outside space, i.e. a terrace or balconies, so probably this is a better place to stay during the winter months. the breakfast is good and service is helpful and staff friendly. overall one can recommend this place for the medium-demanding traveller!

According to the homepage of the hotel, we expected a hotel with an outdoor swimmingpool with a roof garden and turkish bath, so Nippon Hotel was booked in advance when leaving from Denmark. When we checked in, we were informed that none of these things were available. They told us that the homepage was 2 years old and this was the reason for the misinformation. My husband and I stayed in Nippon Hotel. The location is good, and very close to the shuttle bus stop to Ataturk Aiport. We will come back to this hotel again when we stay in Istanbul next time.

I got back today from Nippon hotel. Stayed there for 3 nights. One should be very careful which room he gets. All rooms ending with '12 or '13 on all floors are small rooms without ANY window. There is a "window", the glass is a mirror and it open into a shaft. The room has no bath. It has a tiny shower and toilet. The bed is also smaller. The room is stuffy and the airconditioning does not work yet. We complained and got another room on the second day. Otherwise the hotel is OK. Breakfast is fine, service is ok.
