This place is perfect.  The food was great, the location was great, the staff were great and the entertainment was great (apart from one band called Dr Ruth! Don't listen to them!).  We had a disaster start to our holiday with our travel agents Thomas Cook, I wouldn't reccomend these people to my worst enemy.  However the hotel rep Chris was spot on.If it wasnt for the fantastic service provided by the staff at the Marvell then it would have been horrible.  They were absolutely exceptional, in the full meaning of the word.  They didn't stop at good customer service, they didn't even stop at world class customer service, they went the extra mile and ensured our stay was fantastic. If anyone has doubts about this hotel, then feel relieved because it is an outstanding experience.

We have just returned from a FABULOUS week's All Inclusive holiday at the Marvell Complex. There were 4 adults and 5 children in our party, and we all had a great time.

The hotel was very clean, all the staff were very polite and helpful, the facilities were great too.

We couldnot fault the food or drinks at all, it was superb, catering for everyone's needs.

The location was great, right on the main drag of San Antonio Bay, but not noisy at night, as we were on the opposite side of the hotel from the bars etc. and had a magnificent sea view.

The only thing they could improve on is the evening entertainment, greatly lacking, however they did the best with the resources they had.

Would definitely go back very soon!!

We booked this holiday last minute as weather in uk terrible. We were not sure what to expect - have 3 children - 17, nearly 15 and 12 - We did not want to be too close to San Antonio as had heard so many stories (nightclubs etc). The Marvell Complex was great - only here for 7 days but had a great time. Only downside is that we were told it was on the beach - it is but rocky not sand. This was not a problem as a sandy bay was only 20 mins walk - there is a boat that takes you to this bay if you don't want to walk - it goes from the same place as the water taxi. also there is a sandy beach about 10 mins walk the other way but this is where the water taxi runs from so very busy. We took the water taxi across to san antonio one day and the children went paragliding - they said it was fantastic, our eldest daughter took her camera and got some great pics from the air. - cost cheapest 35 euros for under 16 - 45 for adults. Only thing is with exchange rate so bad everything outside the complex is very expensive.

We had two one- bedroom apartments - brill, kids in one, adults in the other. When we booked the operator said she would request a low sea view room - spot on! had a corner room with great view looking out over the sea plus we had two balconies.

The food was great, with 2 fussy kids there was chips for lunch and dinner if required. The choice was good with salads and lots of different cheeses - not a great choice of desserts but plenty of fresh fruit. We had fantastic roast beef and chicken, plenty of food all the time it was constantly replenished. The restaurant/hotel manager - (not sure if he was both) seemed to work all day and he was great - really polite and charming nothing too much bother. on our last day we had an early morning flight so were lounging in the foyer and we asked for some glasses or paper cups for water - man on reception said everything was closed but a few minutes later he had found the restaurant manager who opened up and gave us all cups which I think is absolutely great at 12.10 am in the morning!

The pool was great with plenty of sunloungers also only a couple of spanish families and NO GERMANS at all!

Even the oldest two had a good time snorkling etc . We would definitely go back!!

Home for a few days now so no better time to review a holiday whilst it remains fresh in your mind.We had booked a one bedroom apartment for two adults and my daughter who is 15.The staff in reception were very pleasant, and proved to be the whole holiday helping us with any queries we had with nothing being too much trouble for them.

They allocated us our room, with a pool view as requested and definitely the way to go as some of the rooms overlooked the main road to the front of the hotel where the bars/restaurants were situated and could be a bit noisy according to other guests. Our room was spot on,very compact and just what we needed. Two single beds with a fitted wardrobe, and a main area which compromised of a basic kitchenette ( which was unrequired as we were AI) a bed settee, flat screen tv and sliding patio doors onto a small balcony, with 2 chairs and a table. The two rooms had air con which also had two seperate controls which was excellent as some rooms we have had over the years had only one control and made the whole apartment cold.

The hotel as an whole was very good, and upto a very good standard. The dining area looked like it had been built fairly recently and the manager took pride in how it was kept and made sure the punters had shirts and footwear on when using it,which may look trivial, but is a must in keeping some decorum whilst eating.

The food itself was of a very good standard, and we actually looked forward to meal times as the choice was good. For those that liked to stick to English food then this was well catered for also,as the hotel also had a pizzeria built in for the off the street customers, so fresh pizza was also on the menu, plus plenty of fresh pasta and salads.

The bar staff were superb, and only being able to ask for one drink at a time didn`t materialise,as long as you didn`t take the mickey.

The pool and pool area were superb, salt water and cleaned every day.A poolside bar also catered for those of us that didn`t move much during the day.The one slight downside i would probably say was they were about 15/20 sun loungers short, and maybe 10 or so umbrellas, but invariably you could come down anytime upto 10am and still get one.

Onto the entertainment,or probably the lack of it.Certainly nothing during the day except for a game of football for the blokes and one game of water polo for everyone else. The evening was very lightweight in respect that the hotel was in charge of it all,Rocco took charge of this by turning on some sort of disco machine that drowned out the conversation being had,and on a couple of nights we had games of varying description,Mr Marvell and men vs ladies etc.Though on two occasions there was outside musical entertainment provided which was on one occasion good and on the other excellent,(the fat bloke on Thursdays, which he won`t mind me saying as he told us this repeatedly through the night, get him to play the piano more,he was superb)

Lastly but not least, the rep from Thomas Cook.I haven`t left him till now because of anything he did or didn`t do,just that because they didn`t do the whole entertainment thing

he was just a rep that came twice a day and took care of general things.Chris was both helpful and courteous which is exactly what you require from a rep,in my opinion.

Me and two girl friends stayed in the resort last year and I loved everything about it. Well almost everything, the only thing I didnt like about it was that you could not get drunk on their beverages no matter how much you tried! But the rooms were cleaned every day, clean towels, clean bedding. Our apartment had a great view of the pool and the sea looking out to San Antonio town. It was situated across from our favourite bar peppers2. There werent a lot of people there at the time as it was end of season but the hotel was not noisy at night, and we used to relax in the lobby for a while after we'd been out - quietly of course. Staff seemed very friendly. I am going again on friday, four days time to the same hotel, I only hope they've changed the drinks! Food was good but became boring after a few days, and I didnt even attempt to try the poached sauasages! But apart from that I really enjoyed my stay there and am looking forward to going back!

Booked very last minute so wasnt sure what to expect. however this complex was probably the best complex in the area in which it is situated in. Extremely pleased with the facilities, cleanliness, food, entertainment, staff and apartment. the view from our balcony was magnificent. the pool is huge, activites are on all the time eg football, killer pool, basketball etc and really nice modern complex

would highly recommend the marvell hotel to couples of all ages and families.

also check out a very lively bar called peppers about a 4minute walk from the complex...loved it!

overall one of the nicest complex i have ever stayed in and one of the BEST holidays i have experienced.

After reading the reviews my girlfriend and I decided to spend a week (all inclusive) in Marvell Apartments in Aug 2007. Our overall impression of the hotel was really one of disappointment.

Our room itself was clean and serviced daily however it faced a construction site (nice view!) and the pub opposite the street didn't close until 6am meaning there was a continuous noise into the small hours (we needed ear plugs to get any sleep).

In fact we asked to be moved rooms 3 times, twice we were told to come back the following day and on the 3rd occasion we were told it was not possible. (There were guests leaving on a daily basis, it was possible, they just couldn't be bothered)

The food is good but more or less the same every day so after a few days we got bored and looked to eat out. In the immediate area the restaurants and bars all seemed to serve the same sort of stuff (burger and chips etc) so if you're looking for something different you'll need to go to San Antonio.

Taxis are difficult to find, the most convenient way there and back is by water taxi, and however these stop at midnight.

The pool is big, not an Olympic size as they claim but still big enough to use without it ever getting over crowded

Overall the Hotel is as good or bad as any other I've stayed in for its class, however the reception staff were unhelpful, even when we asked them to order a taxi they tried once said it was engaged and told us to hail one from the street.

If you're unlucky enough to get one of the 20 or 30 rooms that face the construction site and next to the all night pub be prepared for some sleepless nights or pack ear plugs before you go.

Booked independently on the internet. We took our 13 yr old son and his friend for company, brilliant decision. The boys had so much to do and resort is so compact and friendly we felt safe letting the boys have some freedom and do some things on their own. Lots to keep them occupied eg sports bars for football, locally there is tennis courts, pool, trampolines and go carts. They had a great time and we got lots of relaxation.

We were staying right in the heart of resort which we found quite quiet in the day, really lively in the evening, come midnight entertainment carried on but all doors to bars were closed and it went quiet, suited us. The Marvell complex is very well situated with a fabulous pool, although it was too deep for me 1.6 mtrs at the shallow end, the boys loved it.

The complex and apartment were spotlessly clean, maids in every day and they were brilliant you didn't see them come and go the room was always cleaned and towels changed while we were out everyday. Only complaint about the room was it was really small for 4 people, wouldn't want to stay there with 4 adults, but there was lots of cupboard space and we managed fine.

The kitchen is very basic but I think a lot of people stayed all inclusive. Good places to go of a night, Shooters bar right outside complex drinks are not cheap but the shows were good and there's lots for the kids to do. Casa Blanca had a couple of good nights, they do lovely sangria! 2 places I would not recommend to eat, the Millennium, waited ages for food, all cold, sloppy lasagne. China Garden 2 the food was boring and it was expensive. Best place to eat by far was Jimmy Browns, it's a bit of a walk to the west side but we got the best 3 course meal for 11 euro each and the staff were brilliant.

Overall a really good holiday we would go back and we would recommend the Marvell but maybe try all inclusive next time.

3 girl pals and I spent a week all inclusive here, we thought it would save us money because we could just get drunk before we went out, however I honestly don’t think they were serving alcohol! We were drinking all day from when the bar open at 9 till 11 at night to when it shut and only feeling tipsy at about 9!

When we arrived at the hotel there was 4 people on the bus with us, them and about 3 other couples were the only other people in the hotel which some people may see as a bad thing but having the place to ourselves was great! I don’t think this is something that happens allot though, as the rep said there was a mix up with the booking that week and the day before we left the hotel was full.

The pool was massive! You can just about touch the bottom in the shallow end but there is a kid’s pool as well. Even on the last day there were plenty of sun beds.

The food was really good! We would get in at 7 and stay up till 8 for a big fried breakfast then go to bed. The rooms were nice and the maids came everyday, our room was that messy we didn’t want them in some days but they just keep coming back! They would move all our clothes off the bed 2 make it and move them back to clean the floor! (we left a big tip).

Roland was the kind of entertainment guy he's so nice and can get you in clubs for free or he can get you really cheap tickets.

The staff were very friendly and we ended up going out to the clubs with some of them. Me and my mates are defiantly going back here!

Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone other than people wanting to party. No Families and O.A.P.

Quality holiday! The pool was pretty big to say the least, with loads of sun loungers all around.

Nice little cafe/restaurant serving food and drinks all day by the pool, very tasty and cheap! The main restaurant was great, especially for your English all day breaky in the morning and a pizza in the evening.

Literally four steps out of the main entrance is a supermarket with pretty much all you need.

The rooms were very clean, neat and well maintained, although a little cosy for four lads sharing (ideal for 3). The staff are very friendly and available 24/7.

Twelve of us went this year and had a great holiday, and we're all going back again to this same place in 2007! Definitely recommend these apartments if your into chillin by day and partying by night.

If your a family of four, I would probably say there's not quite enough room to do the cooking and you might feel like your on top of each other too much.

Hope this helps all you Ibiza Lovers!

The rooms were a bit small for 4 young girls (who were very messy) but apart from that brilliant! Brill holiday!
