What a fantastic holiday! Best i've ever been on.
Food was fantastic, so much choice!
Staff were so lovely and helpful, rooms were cleaned everyday.
Pool guy was out cleaning every morning.
The only bad thing I will say is that if you're unlucky enough to be put in the Royal Tower then ask to be moved to the Caribe Tower straightaway!
Royal Tower was full of extremely rude Americans that have no basic manners.
Poor staff couldn't stand them either.
Beach was beautiful, lots of watersports to choose from.
We were lucky to see lots of sea turtles come up in the early hours to lay their eggs, amazing experience.
I'm planning on going back as soon as I can!

My family and I have stayed in the Royal Solaris on two occasions and have enjoyed both visits. We stayed at a different hotel on our honeymoon, which was not as nice as the Royal Solaris.
The hotel was excellent, very clean, great choice of food and drink. I couldn't believe how much choice there was at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room service was also nice and it didn't take to long in getting to the room. The staff in the hotel were all fantastic and so friendly, they were excellent with my young children. We enjoyed it so much that we have recommended it to people, who have booked and we have booked for Jun 2008 for three weeks.
The bus was cheap and we enjoyed a few of the tours. We went to the Chitchen Itza, and didn't really enjoy it. It was nice to see but we were told it was only an hour and a half away, which it wasn't. It took us three hours and it was such a long walk round it.
The Captain Hook boat was an excellent night out. The show was great and the food on the boat was also lovely.
Cancun is fantastic and a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The locals are all so friendly.

Just back from a 2 week holiday in Mexico, stayed in the Royal Solaris Carribe. What an amazing hotel, the staff are more than good and the entertainment staff are amazing and I have to say it wouldn’t have been the same with out all of them.
Have to say a big shout out to Tony, one of the entertainment staff he was amazing. The food was 10 out of 10 and the cleanliness of the hotel was too. Met loads of lovely people too and loads of lovely mad Americans. It was the best holiday I’ve been on by far and when we do go back to Cancun I’ll definitely go back to the same hotel.

Hello I hope this review is helpful,
I stayed at The Royal Solaris Caribe in Sept 05' and have to say upon arrival I was quite impressed, the reception area was large and the staff seemed very helpful. The air conditioning in the hotel areas and rooms were very good and I never had trouble trying to sleep. The pool areas are clean with open bar and food made to order [all inclusive] the food was very good I’m a meat eater and I’m very fussy but I was impressed, and the cocktails were very good also.
There was plenty to do with tours etc but I only went on 1 which was snorkeling and ruins of Tulum in the same day I didn’t really enjoy it as it was rushed? But I heard mixed reviews on the tours available!
The downside of the holiday was we had to change rooms because they decided to dig up the floor outside our room? They moved us to a room which was next to the air con system and I asked to be moved again which the staff done straight away apart from that the holiday was excellent and the beaches were stunning, the plaza's along the Cancun are very American with up market stores tiffany, Armani, mont blanc so you need $$$ if you want to shop.
I loved the Cancun the people are brilliant, the weather and beaches are very good and the food is amazing. The hotel Caribe is very good I would pay the extra to stay at a better hotel but for the value and budget at the time it was very good overall.
Me and my girlfriend had a great time.

I stayed at the Royal Solaris with my daughter and boyfriend. We were lucky we arrived before the hurricane although the weather wasn’t great, not that this mattered no body seemed to care and the party went on. Staff were great and very friendly.
The food was better than expected although because we went end of September there was only 3 restaurants open which they didn’t tell us. What did annoy us was that when members started too arrive they opened them specially for them and when our rooms flooded because of the rain they seemed to get special treatment although we were moved.
The entertainment staff were great and my daughter had a brilliant time. The beach was amazing and because of the month we went deserted like having the beach to yourself Heaven!!!!!!
Overall we had a brilliant holiday at Royal Solaris and would definitely go back. We met some amazing people! Recommend to anyone.

What a fantastic place this was. Everything from the food, to the rooms, the service and the staff, it was all amazing and they couldn’t do enough for us.
The hotel is situated south of the hotel-zone and is just a few miles away from the airport (which was just a ten minute coach ride). Within ten minutes of arriving at this gorgeous hotel we were led to our room.
The room comprised of two comfy double beds, table and chairs, powerful air conditioning, plenty of drawers and storage place for clothes, bath (including very strong shower), sink and last but not least - a view over one of the four swimming pools and the blue sea.
The complex is made up of two “towers” and included seven places to eat, numerous bars (including a sports bar), tennis, basketball, pools, pool-side bars, entertainment, a gym and amongst more their own marina in the lagoon.
The hotel zone is a long strip of land separating the lagoon to the ocean. The activities and places to go are endless and Downtown Cancun is a twenty-minute ride away on one of the frequent (and fast!) local buses.
Unfortunately our trip was cut short by a week as we sheltered from Hurricane Wilma and so we didn’t get chance to swim with the dolphins, visit Isla Mujeres, Chichen Itza or the eco park at Xcaret. We had also planned and looked forward to doing so many other activities that were highly recommended to us.
This hotel was like heaven on earth and we’ll definitely be going back, especially to meet the great Mexicans who looked after us during our stay in the hotel and during our time in the shelter as the winds damaged the hotel.
If Wilma hadn't of struck, this would of been 10/10.

For a country that is still developing, Cancun stands out in Mexico as being an increasingly popular tourist destination. It is suitable for families, friends or couples.
Service is 5* wherever you go. From bell boys to taxi drivers, everyone is happy to help (probably because tipping is a custom).
Local attractions include American style shopping villages, aquariums, marinas plus much much more. The beaches are white and the sea is incredibly blue. Paradise! The Royal Solaris Caribe (an All Inclusive complex) offer fun and games for everyone during the day along with various restaurants offering a wide range of international dishes along with free bars (Don’t get carried away!)
There are a wide range of activities to try out during the stay. Most of which are arranged by travel agency representatives or local tour operators. Personally, I tried out a speed boating trip through the jungle and out to the coral reef for some snorkelling (cost around the equivalent of £25).
I also went to see the Mayan Ruins where it is possible to climb the temple. This excursion also enables you to see the rural side of Mexico due to the route tour operators take.
After a long day in the in the tropical climate the fun is only just starting down in the club zone. Most have open bars with entertainment ranging from on stage dancers, very loud modern music and fantastic light shows. If you’re not a clubber then most hotels provide family entertainment each evening.
I would suggest going for two weeks to get a full picture of what Cancun can offer.
Recommended to everyone everywhere.

Haven’t got a bad word to say about this resort. Truly superb!
The hotel was first class with two separate blocks, each with it’s own pool and bar. The Brits were housed in one block whilst the American’s ruled the other for no other reason than the Brits preferred to spend their days in a more sedate way. All very well if you are a couple, but the real action is to be found with the yanks. They drank like fish, swore like dockers and welcomed us with open arms. Excellent drinking partners.
After spending all day getting slowly drunk in the pool (it’s a damn sight easier to swim to the bar than to walk to it. I can strongly recommend the Electric Lemonade by the way!) The nightlife was but a bus ride away. An open top, double-decker bus imported from London no less. Something we didn’t expect to be riding in Mexico!
Most of the clubs are all inclusive, so once you’ve paid your money to get in you are free to drink as much as your body will allow. I’d strongly recommend sticking to the clubs though, to drink in the bars is expensive to say the least. It is worth bearing in mind that the whole place is geared towards the American’s, so those looking for the authentic Mexican experience should probably consider going elsewhere.
It is the effectively the yank’s Ibiza, but with a bit more class!!

This was my best holiday ever.
Cancun is not cheap but if you stay in a hotel like ours on an all-inclusive basis then you won’t want to go far. The people are really friendly, the service is good, lots of meat dishes to choose from and many other things to list. We were the only English people in the hotel as far as we knew but it wasn’t a problem to us.
Just be aware of this if you don’t fancy listening to Americans complaining about silly little things all week.

When we arrived at the hotel after being transferred free of charge to the hotel, we were surprised at the luxurious frontage of our hotel as we felt we had a bargain, booking on line with Expedia.
The hotel lobby was immaculate, however after being handed our room keys we were disappointed to be ushered to the ‘old part’ of the hotel.
Walking through a maze of corridors dragging your suitcase behind you was a little unnerving at that time in the morning. However after eventually getting to our room, we were pleasantly surprised that we had a fantastic view, and it was a great deal quieter. ( The Americans Love drinking by the pool and playing Water polo by the way ALL hours of the day).
The food was really fantastic, and being cursed with having a gippy tummy no matter where I go, I didn’t get ill once for the entire fortnight.!
All in all the place was absolutely spotless, the sea really clean, the beach immaculate, and the restaurant overlooking the blue azure sea will stay with me forever. The only complaint if any I had, was our room.
Three days into the holiday, a strange ‘damp’ smell was present at times being pumped out of the air conditioning.
It wasn’t there all of the time, and the maid cleaned our room thoroughly every day, doing the customary animals out of towels, however, when you had been in the intense heat all day the coolness of the room was a treat, no matter what it smelt like!
