Elite World Hotel

althought the hotel looks fantastic..starting from the lobby to the rooms.....but the moment you start the check-in process...you will see how terrible the services are in this hotel... first of all no matter what and how much you paid for the rooms...you will get whatever room available and not the rooms that you booked...so you might have booked double and end up sleeping in a twin room...and the worste part is they give you lousy excuses the reception staff are very very rude they ended up tearing our passport copies in front... more

I just got back from turkey... I really had fun except when it comes to the hotel... The staff are not friendly... they started making problems for us from day 1...1st they told us we have we wear a cap to use the pool but then they did not even give it to us.. they sell it... 2nd they made a big fuss in the lobby coz we brought bottles of water with us to the hotel... and they didn't wanna let us in... when you call them for an extra blanket or something they bring it half an hour later... What can be said about the Elite World has more or less already been pointed out by other reviews - It's a good choice within this hotel category and the rates are fair. I would like to add just one thing. Be aware that the Elite is mostly a Business hotel and poorly soundproofed. From 6 a.m. you will hear phones ringing, people speaking on their mobiles and constant elevator noises. So either bring earplugs or get up early and use the well equipped fitness area!

Nice hotel, with all facilities. Stay away from the Turkish breakfast unless you are used to local food traditions!

End of the day it is a five star hotel, so it has the basic features that they take care of but I cant really say that it is anything like the luxury hotels but for the price it was great. We got a rate similar to that of many other four and three star hotels so it was a best buy sort of deal. The hotel was elegant, clean with all the nice features, a nice pool an elegant but small gym (enough for all the basic exercises), marble floors, good room service, and very clean. To look at this hotel is WOW, shame about the service. All the facilities are good, it is clean, breakfast (although expensive) is wonderful with a massive choice and the pool and spa facilities are lovely. However it lacks good customer service. When we arrived the booking system has gone down and so we were unable to check in, however no one told us this we just stood at the reception desk for 10 mins while we were ignored by the reception staff. The locatin of the hotel is very good ,it is close to Taksim and u can go anywhere easily but the main probleme in this hotel is that the recieptions and staf can not speak english properly. u will have hard time to make tham understand what u whant. The hotel is very clean of course but the room in font of other building has a very bad view. The breakfast is good and complete .It is agood clean hotel but the staff should learn to speak english.

I stayed one night in Elite World Hotel, Istanbul; it was a pleasant short stay. I checked in Late, it was easy chick in. But check out was not that easy, two families at the counter were arguing about their bill and took too much time; after a while they call for assistance to help in the reception, by this time too many people were waiting and no one knows who is next. The hotel installations are very modern and clean. If you expect good service, however, you will be very disappointed. Positive: Five star modern installations, good bed, great shower, and good location. Negative: I booked a double room and got a single with my wife.
