the best hotel
I stayed here 3 nights. Rooms were fine big and nice view. the hotel was located where close to all historical places such as blue mosque topkapı palace basalıca sistern and grand bazaar. the staff were wanderfull especially eser was very helpfull and he made our trip more pleasent and more unforgetable. I am sure we will came back here as soon as possiple. thank you for everything blue hills.
Excellent service and great location
Lovely spot, and the service was the highlight of our stay. It was our first time in Istanbul and Cemil at the front desk was like our personal guide, helping with recommendations, phone calls and even my lost baggage! He made our very pleasant stay even more pleasant with his humor and gracious help. Great location in the heart of Sultanahmet, near everything.
a jewel in the centre...
My girlfriend and me spent 2 wonderful nights in the blue hills in may 2009. After 2 nights in the low-budget hotel "Tayhan" (normal and ok - clean, friendly, little bit loud...) we moved towards the centre and found the "Blue-Hills" hotel, which offered us a double-bed-suite with jacuzzi (!!) for only 90Euro / night. The amply suite has a classical and comfortable accomodation and the balcony offers a view over the old-town with its alleys and mosques down to the marmarian sea with its big ships. The friendly and affectionate employees... more
..by the way you have not got your room 2/3 nights...eeek (shame because excellent hotel)
'You have not got your room!', even though confirmed via hostelworld/lonely planet, and personal contact with the manager via telephone and email!!' 2/3 nights over the easter weekend our twin double room was not available, we were placed in a very small, shabby so called apartment with a double bed (across the road owned by blue hills hotel) on the first night with none of the facilities that we were promised, or the two beds needed for 2 people,to name a few of the things normally provided i. e hairdryer, telepone. We were told our... more
A jewel in SultanAhmet
Blue hills hotel is a wonderful hotel located 5-10 to the Hipporome area. The hotel staff is friendly and is helpful in giving suggestions o how to plan your day. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a gorgeous view of the blue mosque from the roof of the hotel. The breakfast included is a tasty traditıonal Turkish breakfast. The only thing İ wanted to see was traditional Turkish coffee, but anyone would enjoy their stay at the Blue Hills hotel because you are always made to feel at home.
Excellent Stay, Even Better People
Amazing staff-very helpful and SO friendly. There are only 4 rooms on each floor and there are about 4 floors, so it is a nice and quiet boutique hotel off the main street (but right in the middle of everything!). The rooms were great in size compared to many other rooms offered around that area and offered air conditioning (a must in summer). Breakfast (delicious!) is included in the price of stay. All staff know English and are always wanting and willing to engage in conversation. Don't forget to make a stop on the rooftop; it's a... more
Big modern room and bathroom
We arrived in Istanbul from a cruise ship (the Sea Dream) and went to "our" hotel, the Yesil Ev with our confirmation letter. Because we were going with friends, and they cancelled, the Yesil Ev cancelled us too, without telling us. Luckily, our guide found us a much MUCH better room, #101, at the nearby Blue Hills. We had airconditioning, a view of the Marmara Sea, 4 huge windows, a balcony and a jacuzi, all for one third the price. The lobby is ho hum, but the help at the desk was wonderful and went beyond the call of duty for us.... more
Nice Hotel - Excellent Location!
Blue Hills Hotel is a new hotel in Sultanahmet, close to all main attractions of Istanbul. The rooms -ans bathroom- are clean and spacious, the breakfast is limited but adequate, and the value for money is great. The staff is really helpfull, especially Mr. Varol at the front desk, who arranged everything for us during our stay. Would definitely suggest when in Istanbul!
a good solid hotel for a good price
Good points - excellent location - good modern new rooms -nice balcony( if not best in area) - good value for money Not so good points - breakfast with limited range of food/fruits - balcony with limites view of blue mosque due to aerials Overall i think this is a good hotel and I would recommend travellers here
Just a place to sleep.. Don't confuse it with Seven Hills Hotel
We stayed at the Blue Hills Hotel in the Old City section of Istanbul in April, 2007. We moved to the Blue Hills after spending 5 nights in the commercial district for business reasons, so that we could be closer to the tourist sights. We were originally trying to arrange to stay at the Seven Hills Hotel, but were informed by their extremely hospitable manager, Bulent, that they were booked for the weekend. Bulent went out of his way to find us a room in one of their sister hotels -- and we ended up staying at the Blue Hills. He said... more
