Bilinc Hotel

I have stayed in Bilinc Hotel in Jun 2008 and it was a pleasure for me spending my limited time of stay there. The staff was really kind and the service in general made me understand why the Turkish people are so much proud of their hospitality. They deserve it:) Everything in this hotel is good quality and because of its location it enables easy access to all the major sites. I highly recommend it.

Nice establishment with neat and clean rooms located just of the main street that runs past the Grand Bazaar to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque. There is a tram station 2-3mins from the door which can take you to the river front or the Blue Mosque. Plenty of fast food joints in the area with more resturaunts towards Sultan Ahmet. Hotel itself is quiet due to its side street location. Staff are nice, but don't speak a word of English.

We recently stayed at the Bilinc hotel for 8 days. the first night we were in a room so small we could not unpack or move around at all. The bed was tucked into a corner against a wall. . We had already paid for 7 more nights the next week and got a bit larger room when we returned. The shower was installed backward and we had to crawl out of it over a high shower seat. Excellent location for sight seeing. Very basic accommodation but clean and fairly comfortable. Buffet breakfast good. Extremely noisy at night from construction work on the site opposite. Beware of rooms at the front of the hotel as this work is due to continue for several weeks. Staff friendly and helpful. Apart from the constant noise from the building site opposite at night a good basic hotel.

The Bilinc Hotel is a really nice familiar hotel that has been recently renovated. The bathroom is clean and the beds confortable , fact that it is really appeciated after a long day walking around the city. The balance quality/price is really good with no doubt. The location is superb to visit the Gran Bazar, the Blue Mosque and St.Sofia that are in a walking distance. The staff is really friendly and shows how nice the turkish people are. The Bilinc Hotel is a very handy hotel in the center of the old city. I stayed several times in the hotel and enjoyed a friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel is ideally situated only a few minutes away from the Grand Bazar and the tram line going to the Blue Mosque. Walking to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia took me less than 20 minutes. For anyone wanting a modest hotel in a superb location I would thoroughly recommend Hotel Bilinc. The staff are exemplary - many grander hotels could learn a lot from the Bilinc team, who were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and spoke impeccable English. With good transport links, this hotel is within short walking distance of major tourist attractions, and offers fast wireless internet. When I return to Istanbul I will certainly choose this hotel again.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights over the May bank holiday. For the price this hotel was good value. Hotel Bilinc is a friendly and clean hotel close to all the main sights, including the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque. We were shown a selection of rooms, which did seem to vary in size and outlook. We chose a larger room at the back of the hotel that basically looked out onto a wall, but this was fine as we spent all our time out of the hotel sight seeing. This hotel is a very basic hotel. If you are looking for a budget hotel in a good location, then this is one of the places. Do NOT expect anymore than that. Just come back from a short break in Istanbul and stayed at this great little family run hotel. Its cheap, the rooms are perhaps a little small but adequate and have a lovely bathroom with hot water! Breakfast is served in a peaceful and airy breakfast room - tea/coffee/juice, cereals, cold meat, cheeses, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, plain and sweet bread with jams/ honey.
