Barin Hotel

We stayed at the Barin for 3 nights and found it to be a very clean and a quaint hotel. However, as we were on the first floor, it did get a little noisy when breakfast was served just below us. The rooms had air conditioning and also had hair dyers. Toiletries were minimal so I would take my own. Breakfast was nice consisting of breads, eggs, fruit and cakes. Be warned however that if you are flying in from Sabiha airport, the hotel is 65km away. Arranging transfers before hand could be cheaper as we paid 50euros (100TL) for us... more

In fact, i visited this 3 stars hotel for 3 nights and i can say that it is the best 3 stars that u can get for 45 Euros/night. The staff is very welcoming. Breakfast good enough. the region is crowded with hotels and its location is near Aksaray Bus station,tram,etc. So its a good popular but not fancy region of course. very near of the sultanahmet region.

Thanks again to TripAdvisorS I found this very good hotel in Istanbul. The amount we paid for five nights was ridicolous, especially compared to the quality of the hotel. A small reception is the first thing at sight, together with a highly helpful and kind staff. I read on this site about this hotel before going there, and it was unexpecting to find such a good 3 stars hotel, better than another 4 stars hotels from Istanbul. I also was to Carlton, Blackbird and Beyaz Kugu in Istanbul, but this one was the most good.The breakfast was rich and delicious, typical turkish food, even sweets. The rooms are very clean with a lot of lights, only room view was not what i expected. I spent 6 nights in this hotel. The service and breakfast are very good considering the price and The rooms are clean. The hotel is well situated, it's near the tramway which is a very practical transportation service, either to reach Sultanahmet or the modern side of Istanbul.

Me and my girlfreind stayed in Barin hotel for 5 nights. The location of the hotel is pretty good. It is very close to the main street, where there is a tram, which is only a 3 stations from the main cultural places of Istanbul (Sultanahmet, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia). i stayed at the Barin for three nights. it was a comfortable, clean, convenient venue. most impressive was the overall helpful and pleasant staff always willing to extend themselves in an effort to make the stay pleasant. i definitely recommend the Barin

This is a ok, cheap hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but clean and nice. The bathroom was nice. The area is not a charming area - more of a russian shopping ghetto-but it is close to the grand bazaar and to the tram, Only 2 or 3 stops away from Sultanahmet. The breakfafast was nothing extraordinary but good. The area was filled with smoke, lot of smoke both from the breakfast area and the lobby area.

Just got back to London from Hotel Barin after 3 nights in Istanbul. Paid 50E per night for 3 person room (it's about the only place I could find with 3 bed rooms) including buffet breakfast (decent selection of Western and local options, although be warned - it finishes at 10am). My husband & I have just come back from Istanbul. We stayed at the Barin Hotel, and have to say it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. All the staff were friendly, & nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very clean & bright.If we ever go back to Istanbul we weould certainly go back to the Barin Hotel.
