We arrived at 4.30am to be shown our rooms in the annexe. The windows and balcony door in my room would not shut, never mind lock; worrying considering I was on the 1st floor and anyone could have entered. The plug sockets were also hanging off of the wall and there was cockroaches parading the floors. My friend's room had the glass panel of the front door held in place by wedging a tissue where the sealant should have been and rattled when touched. We immediately complained, to be told by the rude manager that the problems would be sorted in the morning and that we could not be moved rooms as they were overbooked. The door panel in my friend's room was fixed, but my own door and windows remained broken. Also during our stay we witnessed a group of boys staying in the annexe being threatened to be stabbed by the management for making too much noise! We were continually told that Greece is basic, but in my opinion the rooms were not safe to be staying in, due to the lack of basic security. However, the linen and towels were changed several times during our stay and the location was excellent for the local beach and nightlife.
