Nice but expensive
Stayed one night. Room was good standard and large with a separate sitting area. The rooms are located in blocks. We stayed in block 5 . The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was large, the food was ok but the wine was very expensive minimum £30 per bottle for local wine. The thermal spa was ok but a bit dated the treatment prices were reasonable. The outside area looked nice but as it was early it was not open but ther were plenty of places to relax. The staff were friendly and the bar was relaxing, comfortable and had... more
Not even a two star!!!
I was part of a small group of travel agents that was doing a tour of western Turkey. We were told that this is the best hotel in the area. I would NEVER bring a group to this hotel. My room was filthy with hair all over the bathroom floor and although the sheets looked OK, I got several bedbug bites! The staff bordered on being rude and the restaurant (buffet) was very basic. I do not understand how ANYONE could rate this a five star hotel. I highly recommend that you find something else if in the region.
Very average but great indoor pool
The rooms were basic 3 star, not 5 star. The airconditioning was broken in some rooms, the toilet didnt flush well. There was a lovely terrace for breakfast and dinner by the pool. The breakfast was awful, 6 types of olives, only 2 types of cereal (one chocolate, the other a hard grain flake), limited choice of fruit, the bread seems a bit old. The boiled eggs were good. The inside thermal pool was warm, clean and wonderful. There was a souvenir shop and massage / day spa facilities. Internet (pay) was available in... more
overpriced and unfriendly
I spent a disappointing three nights here. I was surprised at how unfriendly the staff were. My sink was clogged when I arrived and my luggage took hours to get to my room. Prices on drinks were extremely high--especially when we were deceived and charged in euros instead of lira! The pool closed at 7 pm! I had really looked forward to a swim after a look day's sightseeing, but alas, no pool in the evening! Definitely not worth 5 stars. Possibly 2?
bedroom was cold
Spent one night here so didn't have much time to check out all the facilities, but found the room to be very chilly overnight and no extra bed covers available. Food was average, certainly nothing to write home about. drinks from the bar were expensive and the amount we had to pay was more than expected!!
Hot spa spring fed
Large & comfortable hotel in need of a refurbishment. Excellent pool and a natural hot spa pool. Belly dancing show was fun.
Mixed feelings
The best thing about this hotel is its spa area (free for guests, though the Turkish bath is extra), which capitalizes on the therapeutic local waters. Other than that it has little appeal, being quite noisy and spartan. It's a decent enough spot to spend one night, but I could not recommend staying for any longer.
Not worth 5 star desıgnatıon
Thıs resort hotel ıs located ın a very ısolated spot far from the heart of Pamukkale even though webpage lısted ıts locatıon as Pamukkale. It ıs also far from the Travertınes and Cıty of Hıerapolıs -- wıth cab fares beıng 71 turkısh lıra from Denızlı bus to hotel. Once at hotel, you are a vırtual captıve wıth no resources other than hıghly expensıve prıces for each and every ıtem through hotel servıces. Smokıng ıs everywhere and there ıs no relıef. Staff ıs unhelpful and aloof. One hour on Internet costs... more
Lackluster Staff and Food at High Prices
Stayed here April 23, 2006. A tour agent booked it else I never would have stayed here. The Good: rooms are comfortable and quite; indoor pool is fairly nice. The BAD: very expensive -- two drinks at the bar cost 20 lira. For domestic vodka and a squeeze of lemon this was outrageous. Location -- it's in the middle of nowhere; village of Pamukkale is 30 lira taxi one way. The Food -- breakfast was okay; dinner was terrible. In a country with food as great as Turkey's, it seemed a crime to eat what tasted processed and canned. The... more
Bad Experience
I travel in Turkey a lot and know the ropes and the tricks. I always agree the rates in advance and check if its dollars or Euros. Unfortunately this Hotels management say one ting and when its time to pay, you guessed it, its in what ever currency they choose, agreed rates don’t mean anything. They have your credit card and they are going to charge it. Also watch out for the phone charges they can very soon add up to more than the room bill and that’s just for calls within Turkey. They are the most expensive I have ever come across,... more
