Stayed a long time
from Charlville
I was working in Turkey on and off for seven months and stayed here with the exception of one week. Very friendly staff and service pretty good most of the time. You must ensure that you stay in the upper floors of the hotel as these are the Sheraton rooms. Excellent breakfast room on the 26th floor with great views of Istanbul. Room service food very good as is the Italian Restaurant. Service can be a little patchy.
Management response from SHERATONISTANBULMAS
Thank you very much for your interest and feedback . We are delighted to know you enjoyed your time at Sheraton İstanbul Maslak and you are happy with your renovated room. As a management team we took all the comments seriously and share them with our staff. We are planning to remodel all of our rooms but would like to welcome you at our hotel for a third time before we finish our remodeling process . Kind regards on behalf of Sheraton family.
very old Hotel

This Hotel Is old,the staff verry unfredly, they never smile and they dont speak inglish as a 5 star Hotel ( Sheraton?)??? The standards is not the same as others Sheraton Hotels.
Mixed Bag, but negatives are really bad
from djcn0te
Have stayed at this hotel twice. The remodeled rooms are large, and nicely decorated with cool views out to the Bosphorous and Istanbul. During both stays, the temperature outside was cold, but the hotel rooms were really hot, and could not be cooled. The front desk staff literally told me "It's because our heating system is working well"... I told them I don't appreciate a room that is 27 degrees celsius (85 Fahrenheit). I was instructed to open my window. It only opened about 1 inch, which brought all-night construction sounds...

Never will stay here again!!!
from aziR
This hotel was nothing what we expected. The service of the hotel was pour. Everyone who worked at this hotel had terrible english, maybe only one person in 3shifts could help us. The hotel is very expensive compared to what you get. We had hot choclate in the lobby ,awful! I felt like we are drinking a mud drink or something! and it cost about 30$ a cup!!! Our bathroom had a leek and evey morning we would have a flooded bathroom... the cleaning wasent to great either. We used the spa again a rip off... the musus came about an...

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Istanbul in the business area of Maslak and unless you have your own car, it is impossible to move daily to the main tourist attractions of this historical city due to heavy traffic and limited public transport. Restaurants close-by are non existent. The hotel itself used be to the Princess Maslak Hotel and it is has currently been renamed and run by a Turkish firm under the license of the Sheraton Hotels Group. So the building itself, it is no a new hotel as it has been advertised, but a...

Great hotel, excellent managment
from autobiztravel
Very comfortable hotel, on the outskirts of town in a business district. A free shuttle is provided 3 times a day to Taskim Square. This hotel was built 15 years ago as a Movenpick, and for a short time was a Casino hotel run by a local tycoon. As a Casino the hotel aspects of the property took less priority, now the rooms are being renovated and actually are about the nices designed rooms of any Sheraton I've been in anywhere in the world. The maid one day forgot to clean my room, and the duty manager came to clean the room...

Really good!
from SkyOrchid
It is really good hotel. Excellent service, rooms are good furnished with beds, tables, chairs - everything you need to feel relaxed. I stayed in huge corner room on the 17th floor with strange view from the window - lake or smth like from one side, and sky scrathed and buildings under construction from the other. Actually this hotel is the best choice for business travellers - in a new business district and close from airport but far from city center. I would stay there next time visiting Istanbul.
Poor manners, big rooms but limited natural light and ventilation
from user05
Poor manners, big rooms but limited natural light and ventilation The hotel is quite close to other tall buildings and view and natural light is quite restricted Hotel staff is doesnot have courtesy. Our poor experience started with the doorman / person screening our luggage at the entrance. It was not a 5-star experience at all.

This hotel is not 5 star, but this is the only negative aspect I found. Everything else was fine though not exceptional. The hotel is the best in the business area of Maslak in the outskirts of Istanbul. Very convenient for those who wish to come directly from the airport to the area and want to avoid the chaos of the city. But I prefer the magnificent view that some of the other hotels can offer. It is not expensive either and really "What You Pay For Is What You Get".
