Remer Hotel

Rooms adequate & towels/linen changed on a regular basis however the carpet wasnt hoovered during my 2 week stay & mirror in the bathroom was cleaned by me when it became apparent that the housekeepers were not going to. After reading a few bad reviews about this hotel we were a bit apprenhesive about what our stay would be like. We were so supprised (in a goood way) and pleased from the moment we got there. My mums bags were taken to her room as they were on the 3rd floor and we recieved a very warm welcome. We were a group of 7 aged 16 to 50 staying in 3 rooms. Half board. I have been going to Turkey once or twice a year for the past 14 years If this had been my first experience I probably wouldnt have gone back. Turkish people are the most friendly and hospitable people, and this was the frst time I have come across Turkish staff who only spoke if spoken to, didnt smile or make you feel welcome at all. We stayed here for one week in sept 08. We were not sure what to expect as no review about it yet and very cheap booking. We had narrowed down our chice of hotels to three and finally decided on Remer hotel- after seeing location of others, this was the best choice. It is a perfect location, only 2 min walk to the beach and the many bars/ restaurants. The hotel itself is clean and rooms were a good size- not very big but we were'nt expecting them to be.
