Golden Moon

We have just returned from a fantastic two week holiday stayingat the Goldlen Moon hotel at Calis Beach. We can only praise the friendly staff, which was confirmed by so many people returning for 10 years, many of which had 2 holidays a year at this hotel. This is a small hotel, with only 31 rooms, so you really get to know the owners and staff, who were at all times extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Arrived 2am - shown to 3rd floor (no lifts) horrid attic room with no windows. Mother tripped at top of stairs on metal bar and almost went flying through glass window. Asked at reception in morning for better room - told had to pay as standard room has no balcony even though never told this by travel agent. Wasted whole day trying to sort room out - ended up paying extra £5/night for better room even though had another better quality standard room available. We have recently spent 14 days at the GOLDEN MOON, and it was a good holiday. The problem we had was that on arrival (midnight) we were shown to a horrible little attic room in the top of the building and we were totaly disgusted with the claustraphobic situation, we agreed to spend one night there only, and the following morning we were told that in order to obtain a room with a balcony , we would have to pay an extra £52pounds. What a great hotel with nice decor, certainly amongst the best in Calis, I'm sure. We had a spacious room with big mirrors [how rare is that!], nice balcony overlooking the sea, lovely bathroom with constant hot water with good shower and bath, also filled soap dispensers and hair-dryer! Air-con free! TV, reasonably-priced safety deposit box, also. Maid service was also very good. The pool was lovely, set in pleasant garden with sunbeds, it was thoroughly cleaned every morning and had anti-slip mats around it. Good open-air bar, nice... more

Hello! We stayed at this hotel for 20 days and despite the fact that the hotel seem wonderful ,we had some problems.For example, in our first 10 days everything was good,but the last 10 days the maids changed our sheets once so they became grey and we really couldn't understand the reason.Moreover, altough the staff (except the maids) was really friendly and helpful, the managers were rude and indifferent to tourists.In addition, the owners of the hotel have one more hotel -Han Apart Hotel ,located in Çalış and it is opposite to... more

Only just come back from the Golden Moon in Calis, Fethiye yesterday, this being our sixth visit to Turkey but the first time at this hotel. The staff are excellent and cannot do enough for you and will go out of the way to help you in any way they can. The rooms are kept very clean and offer a good standard. Free air conditioning is a real bonus as most hotel will charge around £20 per week for this. The pool was immaculate, in fact one of the best kept pools I have seen in Turkey over our many visits...no ear infections from this... more

We have just arrived back after a weeks stay in the golden moon and must say we had a really nice time, the hotel is spotless, rooms are clean, nice bathroom, staff are really helpful especially mustafa, amsel, and ersel. weather was beautiful a bit too hot at times but really relaxing hotel and pool area when not fully booked. calis beach is a nice resort, plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. perfect venue for couples and families with older children. only downside was the hotel took a block booking of 14 members of the same family who... more

We had such a lovely holiday the first time round that we returned for another dose of the Golden Moons first rate service this year. I love the place, staff are excellent, the hotel clean and food wonderful - no complaints from us! We are also considering holding our wedding at the Golden Moon in 2008, as we would love introduce of families to the delights of this region. I would definately recommend a visit to Calis Beach and a stay at the Golden Moon!

Just returned from a week at the Golden Moon, Calis Beach. Had a wonderful time. If you are looking for a quiet holiday then I would recommend the Golden Moon. Staff are excellent, very friendly and go out of their way to help. Location is ideal for beach and water taxi to Fethiye. Met a number of people who have been staying at the hotel year after year. The rooms are very clean, food is good with plenty of variety at breakfast.

a super place to stay warm feeling from everybody all our stay highly recomended we stayed ther in june/july 1999 albeit this page does not let you go back so far. friends of ours may stay there soon brian & jill hicks from pembroke.
