Otel Konak Melsa

We stayed at the Konak Melsa at the end of March/ beg of April. We didn't realise it was so early in the tourist season and the hotel came alive whilst we were there. Rooms are basic, but clean. Go for a suite if possible - they have a "lounge" and balconette - standard rooms looked tiny. There weren't real self-catering facilities in the suite we stayed in: but there was a fridge, sink and kettle: No cooking facilities. Our room overlooked the pool area, which was great. Stayed for 2 weeks, I think that it has changed ownership since earlier reviews. It is family run and the staff treated us like old friend. It is very clean, the room is small but it is a hotel with a unique Ottoman design, this is the real Turkey. The drinks were expensive but there was no extras except for the security safe. They even allowed us to stay in our room until the evening on the last day because our flight was after midnight. A small, modern, quiet family run hotel with helpful and welcoming staff. The rooms were well kept, clean and perfectly big enough. It is very convenient for airport - not too close, but only around 30 minutes or £20 in a taxi. Most of the other guests were Turkish, with some British from other resorts who used it as a stop over before flying home. We found none of the negatives that other reveiwers have commented on. we stayed for 7 nights at the Konak Melsa! well we booked for 7 nights via the web site, we ended up stayin 6 night but havin to pay for 8. this was not made clear when we booked. on arrival at stupido clock in the morning we were in reception for two hours waitin for someone to check us in. we were then given a room tht was on the ground floor right next to the toilets. clean but very damp, there aircon was extra and worked out at £5 per day, bloody expensive,and the food at the hotel wasvery basic and very expensive, any thing... more

Dalyan is a fantastic place to holiday. Plenty to do for all ages and it‘s great value for money. The Konak Melsa hotel has a lovely pool and is a short walk from town. The rooms are really basic but clean. You get a room with a bed and dressing table. The wardrobe is in the bathroom. We had a great time at the Konak Melsa becasue of the fabulous pool and lovely bar staff, esp young Robbie who couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. The rooms were on the small side but were clean. However, the woman who runs the hotel is quite difficult. She tried to chagre us for the week's AC three times as she doesn't keep track of any money given to her, and she can be very pushy in terms of tryign to get you to go on excursions.
