Excellent location, just far enough away from busy nightlife. Small but ok apartments with beautiful sunny aspect and view of the distant hill.
Shower cubicle too small, but as there is a drain in the centre of bathroom, we just dispensed with curtain and all was well. Beware; cost of a safe for 2 weeks was 40 euro's! Which I found extortionate!
Nice club house overlooking pool which stayed open till very late, however by the time we got back every night the last thing we wanted was more drink, so the place was pretty deserted.
Not very busy at end of May early June, but we had some excellent nights out, only just starting to get busy by the end of the first week in June, most club staff said this was the quietest start to any season.
Saw loads of Turtles basking in the shallow water. Hire yourself a Motorcycle or car and visit the East and North side of the island it is less populated with holiday makers and very beautiful.
There are no road numbers so you find your way around by going from place to place, but the whole island is about as big as one big county in England so you'll never get too lost and the roads in May/June were deserted compared to this country.
Greek people so genuinely friendly. Best food to be found was Odyssey Restaurant just off the main strip on the way back to Sunflower apartment. Quality food and lots of it.
Buy your first drinks at the Pubs (his and hers approx 5 euro's) but the clubs are not to missed later in the evening however drinks here are 8 Euros for 2 drinks, and Amstel in most Pubs are sold in 550ml bottles but most of the clubs/cocktail bars are the little 330ml bottles.
Look out for free sunbeds on the beach, they can be found and also free service back and forth from the beach with drinks for you too.

These apartments were clean and basic, considering what we paid in August for these apartments I can't complain!
They were a 5 minute walk from restaurants, bars and clubs. Although this was a girlie holiday we still wanted our sleep and were away from the rowdy apartments but were close enough to everything we needed.
If I were to go to Kos again I would definitely book these apartments - only one downside there is no lift so girls don't pack to many shoes and clothes!

The sunflower studios offer basic accommodation, the rooms are clean though and maids entered every few days.
The staff were quite miserable! Not very friendly but pleasant when necessary to be. Any food and drink bought from hotel was reasonable. Pool was clean and not too busy, although do get visitors from nearby apartments who have use if this pool.
Something to be aware of! To get to the main strip, beach etc there is a lane to walk down, this is fine by day but a bit scary by night, local travelers sleep here in their vans and this could be daunting to people walking alone back to the hotel.
Although nothing ever happened while we were there personally I wouldn't feel safe to walk down the lane without my partner! Would return to sunflower, had an excellent holiday overall!
