As mentioned by other reviews there were loads of Germans and the entertainment was aimed at them. The food was repetitive and not very good, we have 3 children and usually go AI and this was the first time we had to find a shop to get some additional food. We attempted to... more

Eftalia Village Hotel, Alanya, Turkey - not to be confused with the other Eftalia Hotel. The Eftalia Village Hotel is a beautiful complex made up of 10 apartment blocks, each one named after fruit which is grown right there in the lovely, well maintained gardens i.e.... more

OK Hotel for short vacations
The hotel was quite OK at first. How clean the rooms were depended heavily on the cleaning lady. All the staff was SUPER friendly, especially the guys in the snack bar. One major problem was that we found mold in the AC on the last day, which explained the headaches we had every morning. The food was ok, a little of everything, but it was the same every day, so it got boring after a few days. Some of the other guests used their vacation as an excuse to act like animals - not pretty. Also, although most drinks were free... more
excellent hotel 5 star but too many rude germans and not enough english
i satayed at the eftalia village with my husband and our 13 year old daughter this september/october. fist impressions was excellent, the staff were excellent, the rooms were excellent well furnished and very clean. after raeding other reviews about the warning of the german invasion i was very worried about the holiday but they were right there was only 5 british people there including my family and iam easy going but they are so rude pushing in the queues and never saying please or thankyou to anyone including all the staff at the... more
Okay resort If you like Germans & Russians and speak thier language
We stayed at the 'Aytur Eftalia Holiday Village' for our honeymoon which was recommended to us by a travel agent. After looking at the pictures that she emailed me the hotel looked like a dream honeymoon location, we were expecting a 5 star all inclusive resort and service. There was nobody to greet us at the hotel and when we did finally find someone of assistance they could only speak German even though they were Turkish????? All of the entertainment was in German. There was no mention of this being a non English hotel. The food was ok... more
Not for the British
Only one review when I booked this hotel but several before I left so I was not looking forward to our first family holiday for 8 years. We dont have great expectations and have never been AI before but this episode has put us off going again. The hotel and village complex was lovely and there were always staff cleaning outside areas. I would say the hotel and village warranted the 4* rating. Rooms - our was a 3 bedroomed family suite and each room was spacious, had air-con a balcony (one shared with master bedroom other had... more
holiday hell!!
we arrived at eftalia holiday village on 12th June 07 for 2 weeks, we where very excited about being on holiday and in good spirits. our first impression was "what a lovely place" however this all changed after our second night, mealtimes are very stressfull! you had to que for any kind of meat for over half hour, evan had to que for bread for 15 minutes, if you got a table you was very lucky but you then had to clear it up yourself from the last people that ate there! on several occasions we sat on sun loungers to eat our meals. the... more
do not go there
we have just arrived back in uk last night 26/06/07 we have never been more relieved to get home. it was awful our room was filthy there was dirt and dust under all the beds even stuff from previous guests we told rep of this in first few days she passed on to manager and nothing was done our 21 month old baby became very ill with his asthma. there was fleas in the room all over the beds. despite telling rep about very wet floors in the toilets nothing done about that also our baby slipped and bruised his leg badly. the meals are horrendous... more
Waht a pleasent surprise
Resort good points. Very tidy resort, the rooms are very well done out and maid service on hand every day. The food is Not brilliant but it is in no way any worse then most resorts that do all inclusive meals. There is plenty to do on site like treat your wife and yourself to a Turkish Massage (go for the job lot it was well worth the money and leaves you feeling great for the rest of your holiday) and don't worry about the kids they can either have one too or they have people there to watch over them whilst you relax.<br... more

we stayed here 13th to 20th may. we arrived at 12 oclock at night from the word go it was a disaster,we had to wait for our rooms untill 1.30 am.we came as a family of 5 .we ended up with 1 room at the other end of complex to the other room. we had 1 single sheet only on a double bed.the next day we complained to thomas cook rep who was totally useless.breakfast was ok if you liked fried eggs and cereal every day .dinner was better with a good veriety to suit all.evening meal was good.but never hot only warm food .now on to the place its... more
Eftalia Hell!
Id had read a few reviews before we went on this holiday and went with an open mind. We were booked for 14 nights but moved to the Paloma Beach, Side after 4 days due to the following. On arrival along the dirt road at 4am the staff could not have een nicer and even offered to get us some food. When we awoke the next morning the sun was shining and we thought 'here we go'. When we went down to breakfast, our whole attitude changed. The food was awful and catered totally for Germans and Russians. The choice of hot food was hot... more
not too bad at all
what can i say, had a pleasant time. the place is very clean, the food is ok, pools are nice enough. staff were alright but not as good as other people. the russians were unusually rude here and i always usually go to egypt and there are loads of russians there who arent this bad. It was a cheap break which i did enjoy and it was just what we needed but due to it being in the middle of nowhere i probably wouldnt bother going again but its decent enough.
