I have just returned from this hotel after a 3 night 'christmas break' with several friends. It was awful, definitely not a 5 star hotel, despite the internet blurb this hotel only had one bar and one self service cafeteria open, the bar was situated in the foyer and was freezing cold due to the non stop revolving doors, and the restaurant/cafeteria was just like a chimps tea party, food debris everywhere!! the queues for the buffet were horrendous and the food was luke-warm and unpalatable, the only entertainment we were offered was a game of darts with a plastic childrens set, not my idea of christmas fun!!! If we had been made aware of the seasonal restrictions to service and facilities we would never have considered this hotel, which is at best a conference centre and not a 5 star hotel.
