fantastic hotel
this was a fantastic hotel there were alot of steps but it says that in the book all the staff were great and all spoke english i dont understand why people have any complaints about the staff not speaking english also there was a great selection of food there is alot of salad but do people really want all hot meals in a hot climate like turkey one of the staff "mr happy" takes people over to the windmills and takes photos which are great so i would reccomend people go 4 that. they have entertainment for children like a mini disco... more
wouldn't go again!!!!
Steps, steps, and more steps after you've walked up the bank to the hotel in the first place!!! I went to sunhill this year with my husband, 3 children, my brother his wife and their 18 month old daughter. Admittedly the brochure does say that there are steps but i don't think anything can prepare you for the amount that there is, It was a real struggle somtimes with my niece's pushchair. We chose this hotel because we wanted to go all inclusive! The food wasn't very good. There was very little choice, there was salad for every... more
Had a great time!!!
Yes there's a lot of steps, it says in the brochures so i don't see the point in complaining about those. You can't expect a hotel with a name like Sunhill not to be up a hill, and you're not going to get up a hill without a bit of effort!! We were a party of five adults, and would say this hotel is not for small children. The rooms were clean, we had a lovely floral arrangement on our beds one day, really sweet. The food was nice, not much choice, but not horrendous as some previous reviewers have claimed. My only complaint... more
hated sunhill
i have visited turkey for 5 years and loved it,,always staying at club turqiose marmaris.this year i booked at sunhill gumbet because i wanted to try fully inclusive.whata wrong decision that was. i hated it.food was abysmal.entertainment same every night, same dutch tunes from 9pm till 10 pm every single night, then best couple music quiz and once a week a 10 minute snake show, so very boring.we had to eat out most days which cost me £30 TO £50 DAILY ,plus £5 DAILY FOR TAXIS AS I COULD NOT CLIMB THE HILL TO HOTEL..and this in an... more
absolutely great
I have just got back from a week there with my partner and two girls aged 8 and 11. I agree there was alot of stairs but nothing to go crazy over, it didnt cause a problem for any of us. the food was a bit repetitive but wot do you want in 49 degree heat, a full 3 course meal. we always found something that we liked. rooms were brilliant, very clean and really spacious. air conditioning could of done with being in all rooms not just bedroom. overall we had a fantastic holiday and would go back.
Dont Go
this hotel was horrid dont go if you have children under 8years to many steps and very steep hill to walk up the staff are ok if you speak turk dutch or german there was only 3 staff that speak english the food is ok if you like salad for breckfast dinner and tea and the only meat you get are meatballs in diffrent shaps and sauce called samething diffrent
avoid this hotel with children
this hotel is classed a four star - well we have been going to turkey for 5 years running and this is in no way a four star !!!!! the steps are just unbelievable - and you have to be a mountain goat to us them everyday. very steep and no ramp for pushchairs - therefore not family friendly. although the pool is lovely and clean it is no way suitable for children - my husband is 5ft 11inches and he could not stand up in the pool - even on tip toes - he even badly cut his hand on the grid as it was not fitted correctly. the rooms... more
not infant friendly!
we got to our hotel sun hill suites gumbet, at around 3 am local time, we were horrified to find we were going up such a steep hill to get there although this was expected as said in brochure when we got there check in was fine, and someone came to help with bags and up the stairs we went this resort is all situated on steps, very steep ones, not suitable in my opinion for my two young children 4 &2. whilst we were there our eldest took a tumble and cut her stomach only her dad caught her i would dread to think how many stiches she... more

Great hotel
We were moved to this hotel after our hotel closed unexpectedly. The food was great and had a good choice at all meal times. The pool and outside areas were kept very clean and the rooms are of a good size, clean and well decorated. Drinks were basic but included wine at lunch and dinner and it was fairly good. Soft drinks included pepsi, fanta, sprite and filtered water along with coffee all day. Food was almost constantly served and the pool bar served burgers and chips between 1pm and 5pm everyday. I would reccomend... more
