Absolutely Fantastic
from KellyJ1988
Myself and 3 of my friends (3 18 years old and one 17, all girls) absolutely loved this hotel and holiday - we went in July 2007. The hotel was perfect for all types of holiday makers! For young people it was perfect in terms of the night life! Especially for a first independant holiday! The hotel can look after your keys on night out, so dont have to worry about that, and food is available all day, which your guarenteed to like!!! Also it is very clean, and modern, no problems at all about it - air conditioning which is a huge thumbs up! As for the nightlife, perfect for young people, if you want a wild night, you can have one!!! However if you do one a quiet one, maybe a just chill at a bar near the habour is best. A day/night in Kos town is worth the visit! Some days at the hotel, loud music was played by the pool, which may not be suited for familys with young children! But for a first holiday, wanting to relax, or get on the quad bikes or do watersports, its a definate!!!!
Great Hotel great Holiday

This was our second time to Kardamena but the first in the Cleopatra Superior an definately won't be the last! The hotel rooms are basic but very clean and the pool and pool bar area are spotless. Only downfall is the breakfasts as there is not a lot to choose from but if you are prepared to wait until 10am then the snack bar serves up great toasties and full english. At lunch time the chef does a really nice Greek salad or if your prefer a traet get the bottle of Ouzo and Meze. Stam the barman is a great guy....very helpful and recommended some really nice restaurants especially Avli a fantastic greek restaurant which has a beautiful courtyard setting...very romantic!! M husband and I had a great night out at Bar 1960 with him when we all got hammered on shots and suffered for it the next day. Watch out for his water guns though as he is a big kid at heart. Cheers for a good time Stam !!!! Kardamena is a beautiful village and at the beginning of October as it all starts to close down it is very peaceful and relaxing without being too boring. Still enough life about it at this time of year to have a good time. Restaurants: AVLI for Seafood Saganaki and Juvetsi, NEMO'S for steaks, BEE GARDEN Chinese, Ariadni's for Swordfish. Bar 1960 for the shots.......................can't wait to go back !!
lovin it

Myself and 3 friends (all girls aged 25/26) have just returned from our fortnight's holiday in Kardamena. We stayed at the Cleopatra Superior hotel and could not fault it whatsoever. We were given 2 twin rooms which were very spacious with sufficient storage space. The rooms were cleaned every day except Sunday and were well equipped with a balcony, fridge and TV. Air conditioning and safety deposit boxes were also available for a small, extra charge. The hotel has a 24hr Reception with very helpful staff. The pool area is also lovely and the guys who work there, Stam and Gareth are very friendly and welcoming. Watch out for Stam though - he is in his element when squirting his water gun at you or covering you with his bucket of ice! The pool bar opens at 10 am, serves food until 5 pm and stays open for drinks until 2 am. The bar is very stylish and modern and the prices of drinks here are reasonable compared to some of the other places in town. We were looking for a mixed holiday of partying and relaxation and were not left disappointed! Kardamena is a varied resort and has lots of excellent restaurants. We can recommend Paradise restaurant which is on the beach front and 2 other restaurants which are on the beach front near McDonalds. One of them is called 'Scala' and the other one is next door (not sure of the name). There is also a restaurant called Amazon which offers a 3 course meal and unlimited drinks until midnight for 20 euros which was very good value. As well as a range of excellent restaurants, we also discovered a range of fabulous bars. There are some lovely relaxing cocktail bars along the beach front, including our favourite 'Calypso' and many more lively bars which are located on Bar Street. 'Bar 1960' and 'Stone Roses Bar' are great for sitting in and watching the world go by. If you fancy doing some shots, I would definitley pay 'Liquid' a visit, where they give you 2 free shots with every drink you order. At midnight, the clubs open and again, there is something for everyone. We went to 'Downtown' (which plays cheesey music) and 'Mad' (which plays indie) a few times each. There are also 2 other clubs Starlight' and 'Status' which play dance and r&b music. We didn't go to either of these as we didn't really feel they were 'our thing' but they are supposed to be excellent for the 'young, party hard' people! Whilst in Kardamena, we went on a few trips, including Turkey, Nisyros and Paradise beach. Unless you are really keen on visiting Bodrum in Turkey, I wouldn't recomment this trip. We spent hours queuing (going and returning) at passport control and were very disappointed with the market when we eventually got there. Nisyros, on the other hand was a lovely day out and walking down to the crater of the volcano was pretty amazing. Just be aware that there is a very strong smell of sulphur so don't go here with a hangover! Oh and wear some shoes which have a reasonably good grip - you'll struggle in flip flops! If you are a fan of the beach then you should definitely visit Paradise beach which is known for being the best beach in Kos. Kos town is also a lovely place to visit, we went one evening at 7 pm and the coach returned us to Kardamena for just before midnight. We also visited Zia (for the Greek night), where we were wined, dined and entertained by traditional Greek singers and dancers. Although we did not enjoy this Greek night as much as the one we went to in Crete 2 years ago, it was still good fun and is definitely worth a visit. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Kardamena and the Cleopatra Superior as a place to stay. The hotel is located close to the beach and the main square that you can easily walk to either, but is far enough away that you don't have any noise and can therfore get a really good night's sleep! Kardamena is well equipped to cater for most people's needs and is a good choice for groups of young people, families or young couples.

We came back to the Cleopatra Superior for a week in June having previously visited two years ago and we were not let down. We wanted a chill out holiday and that is what we got. Kardamena has an excellent variety of nightlife ranging from lively bars to quieter family run bars and offers a wide range of restaurants for all tastes. The hotel is excellent, clean rooms we had a balcony overlooking the sea, the staff are friendly and helpful and the pool area is perfect. The locals are very welcoming and the atmosphere in Kardamena is very friendly. We will definitely be going back again to Kardamena and will be staying at the Cleopatra Superior.
simply the best

Cleopatra superior is a spotlessly clean hotel,is ideal for the beach which is only 50m away, the rooms are spacious and clean with a fridge, telly, with sky news&,telephone, quite large rooms with twin beds, clean fluffy towels changed daily, and a very friendly staff, especially the wee scotch bar manager from edinburgh. The continental breakfast is the only downfall of this lovely hotel it is very basic, certainly not worth getting out of bed for,the pool area is a dream,,lovely and clean, maybe a little more privacy,,,, the sunbeds are all new.we will certainly return to this hotel, it is ideally situated for all kardamena has to offer. now a special mention for the night porter,,,,lovely man ,,always smiling, all the staff are very friendly and helpful.the managers wife who works in the bar,a friendly soul. Thanks for a lovely holiday all of you.and a lovely welcome.

It was my first trip to Kos and I would definately go back without a doubt! The hotel was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and went out of their way. The snack bar served scrumptious food all day and the swimming pool was to die for. The rooms themselves were spacious with all needed facilities in them including air conditioning which I would highly recommend if going in July and August. The resort of Kardamena is superb, so much to see and do and the nightlife is wicked! There is a great choice of restaurants and bar's and if you like a bit of karaoke you will be in your element. I can highly recommend Phillipo's pool & snack bar as he is a grat guy and there are plenty of sunlounger's available at no charge. Phillipo will look after your every need.
Had a great time

This was my first time to Kos. The hotel was lovely and clean. There was always someone on reception to help if you had a problem. The rooms were spacious (we had a twin room) and you could easily fit another bed in if required. There is a fridge in the room and a television. There is pleanty of sunbeads around the pool so we never struggled for one. The pool bar guy Stam is nuts, he comes round with a watergun and gets you if you are asleep! (also watch out for the buckets of ice he throws on you!!) The hotel is idealy situated and is only a 5 minute walk (if that) to the beach. There is pleanty of souviner shops and supermarkets. There is a variety of restaurants so if you don't fancy greek food there is a chinese and an indian to chose from. There is even a MacDonalds if you get really homesick!! There is an restaurant called Amazon, we found it really good value for money. You pay 20 euros for a 3 course meal and you can have as much to drink all night! If you have been to any of the other Greek islands you will find it a typical resort but I would definately go back, all the locals are friendly and it was such a relaxing holiday.
After reading lots of really great reviews about Cleapatra superior we thought it was guaranteed to be fabulous.. we were wrong! Rooms are very basic, you have to pay extra for airconditioning, despite signs around saying guests need to keep noise down between 12midnight... more
