far from our expectations groups of young girls coming back in drunk at 3 and 4 in the morning screaming shouting and crying nothing done by staff to stop it notices everyhere saying noise will not be tolerated between midnight and 7 30 in the morning they just turned a blind eye to the situation breakfast was appaling toast and jam stale bread rolls tinned peaches orange cordial like syrup no fresh orange juice cheap tea bags frozen butter portions kardamena itself just like ghost town nearly half shops bars restaurants closed down streets littered with rubbish at the top end past the market square so many derelict buildings abandoned cars and vans all over the place you would think you were in a war zone not a holiday resort would we go back again not in a million years
- Advice: its run down dirty no nightlife go somewhere else
- Good For: Beach

I have never left a review before however i use them quite regularly when booking holidays. As I have just been looking for a holiday and come across this i thought i would leave some feedback about the Cleoptra Superior.
I stayed in the Cleopatra Superior in August 2008 it was my 2nd time I had stayed there but my 3rd time to Kardamena.
I chose this hotel to stay as i had seen it on my first visit to Kardamena and it stood out a mile away with it's modern and clean look.
This time round was for my wedding me and my then Fiance where getting married in Kos and had family and friends comeing over to help us celebrate, a few of us stayed in the cleopatra Superior but we all stayed in the Cleopatra group. (me and my fiance also stayed here so we could be close to everyone rather than have to travel each day/night) The age range of the group was 4-60.
The hotel itself is very clean, cleaners are very regular and rooms are nice enough for what you actually use them for, bathrooms are basic but they do have shower curtains which are a luxury in greece!
The pool has a great atmosphere with music played throughout the day, and an excellent snack bar which catered for all ages and done most things, i.e. chips, burgers, salads, baguettes etc.
The staff are fantastic and willing to help with everything, Until the day of my wedding i didnt realise just how many staff actually worked there until they all came to watch me leave the hotel with my dad, they were all very friendly and wished us well.
The location is also excellent, its a 2 minute walk to the beach and about a 5 min walk to the main bars (Depending on how quick you walk that is)however it is out the way enough to be quiet both day and night to relax, there didnt seem to be any teenager running round drunk making noise at all hours.
I would definatley reccommend this hotel and its sister holidays to anyone wanting to go to Kos.
- Advice: its a fantastic place, not too big to walk around, lots to do and fab weather.
- Activities: Ellies Carvery is the best.
- Good For: Beach

Just returned from a fantastic week in Kos, stayed at the best hotel in Kardamena. The rooms where a little on the small size but everyting else made up for it. We had a great view over looking the pool / sea.
Only 20 mins transfer time.
The maids came in 5 times during the week. Towels changed twice. The pool is brill and a lovely breeze kept you cool. Plenty of beds for everyone. The snack bar was great, food really really nice. Excellent friendly staff, always happy to help. A/C cost 20 euros and safety deposit box 15 euros.
Shops, Bars & Restaurants only a 10-15 mins walk. Take the trip to Bubbles / Paradise Beach, well worth it. Bar Street is mad, but plenty more great bars on the harbour front if you don't want the high life...make time to Avli Restaurant for the best meal in Kardamena also Captains on the sea front.
All round fantastic place to stay, no problems at all.
Enjoy your holiday :-)

Just returned from a lovely family holiday (grandparents, adults, child) in Kardamena staying at the Cleopatra Superior. All the wonderful reviews about this hotel are true! The staff are extremely friendly, especially Stam at the pool snack bar, the hotel is very clean and rooms have everything needed. The hotel is located centrally, a very short stroll to the beach and a brief walk to the town centre, the hotel itself is set a street or so back from any pubs/bars/shops so its peaceful enough to sleep with the balcony doors open. Kardamena was breezer all the time during our stay, lovely when it was 28 degrees every day (it was may!), everyone there is so friendly, there's something for everyone and Anna's by the beach do a great breakfast! Try eating traditional - the Lamb kleftiko, the meatballs and the mousaka are gorgeous!

I stayed in Kos for a week with my two daughters, age 11 and 14 and this one was of the best hotels by far in the area. My daughters loved the staff, mainly Stam as he was so friendly and helpful. There was never a rush for sunbeds as there were plenty and there was music all day. The location of the hotel was very good as the views were lovely across the coastline with the mountains in the background.
Unfortunately there was the Olive Grove fires in July and we got close up views of the helicopters carrying water from the sea to the source of the fire.
Bar 1960 was our favourite as Nick & Stam were working there. We had some nice meals choosing different restaurants; the Nemo restaurant was very good.
The only thing that spoilt my holiday really was that we were charged excess baggage coming home but not going.
Overall it was a great holiday!

Just come back yesterday after spending another two brilliant week’s B&B at this hotel. We were lucky enough to get the same room we had in May this year.
This hotel is spotless and the staff are still so friendly and helpful even after a busy season, nothing is too much trouble for them.
For a continental breakfast there is a great choice - especially as they put extra food on that doesn't come with a continental usually, at no extra charge. A mention for the cleaners, they do a tremendous job of keeping everything clean.
Towels and bed linen are changed regularly and even on a Sunday the cleaners come and make sure everything is alright in your room.
We came across a new eating place which is well worth a mention - ELLIES CARVERY - a five minute walk away from the hotel. Food was good and plentiful with excellent choices to pick from. Eat from the carvery instead of from a specially prepared dish and you will be eating within less than 10 minutes from sitting down. Very friendly staff helps make this one of the best places to eat in Kardamena.
Try Greg's Place near the harbour and enjoy a coffee with free cake and watch the world go by. Of course the Adelphia restaurant, Pavlos Bar and Angela's Bar are still well worth going to with very reasonable prices.
Keep up the good work Manos, Christina, Paula and George, we will see you next year and can't wait - please keep our room free for us!

I have just returned from Kos and very sad to be home! I went with my dad and friend. It was the best holiday ever, the hotel is very clean and not far away from the airport which is really good!
We were in one room but it was split into two, so I and my friend basically had our own room which was brilliant!
The staff where absolutely brilliant. Stam, Gareth, Paula and Manos are great, they all go out of there way to make sure you have an enjoyable holiday!
The pool is great with loads of sunbeds so you don’t have to worry about room! The pool bar opens at 10 and serves food until 5pm which is really good if you want something to eat in the day.
The town is only about 5 minutes away from the hotel where there’s loads of shops bars and places to eat
The maid comes into your room everyday except Sunday to clean which is really good.
Overall the hotel was really nice. Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday so memorable, we will be back next year definately !

Having read other peoples comments before going and now having returned yesterday, overall I was really impressed with the hotel, the facilities, the staff and the location.
I travelled with my 7 year old son and we booked a family room which was large. One room had the sitting room, bathroom, wardrobes, tv and 2 sofa beds (1 single, 1 double) plus a balcony and the other room had a large double bed, space for another large double bed plus another balcony. We paid extra for the air conditioning which was 55 euro's for the week opposed to the 35 euros for the smaller rooms but it was well worth it
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis but breakfast was a little basic with cereal, toast or fruit but when we were up in time it was ok. Mainly we had a snack a bit later on at the the pool bar which was very reasonable for food. Not so good for drinks though. Soft drinks were expensive and I thought excessive at 2 euros per can of Coke or Sprite. The Sprite had a maximum price on the can of 70 cents. The water you could buy locally for 30 cents and the hotel charged 80 cents. I don't mind paying a bit more but this was a little too much and many others commented the same.
The pool was good and there were usually enough sun loungers but some people did still put their towels down and leave for the majority of the day.
The bar staff were good. Stam does an excellent party trick with sunbeds and well worth asking him to show you when you are there. The alcoholic drinks are reasonably priced.
The rooms were cleaned every day except Sunday which was not a problem and were always good.
Although it is described as being on the outskirts, it is a gentle flat 10 minute walk to the harbour and it is certainly nice and peaceful at night.
I did mention this website to the manager and he does look at the comments!
Overall, I thought the hotel was very good and with some minor improvements could be excellent
I would certainly go back here if I went to Kos again

After reading lots of really great reviews about Cleapatra superior we thought it was guaranteed to be fabulous.. we were wrong! Rooms are very basic, you have to pay extra for airconditioning, despite signs around saying guests need to keep noise down between 12midnight and 7am we had to deal with drunken teenagers coming in at all hours of the night and staff didnt do a thing, the one night we'd had enough and called reception at 1am. Breakfast is not worth getting up early for (served 7.30-9.30am, dry bread, tinned fruit, uninviting cereal and awful tea and coffee... the a few things really going for the hotel - the pool and lounge area are really nice... Staff, particularly at the bar are really friendly and location close to shops and beach.. however unless you plan to go out clubbing and getting off your face every night and dont need any sleep, and are not looking for a nice quiet relaxing hotel.. then stay away!!
Also, dont book via Thomas cook - they completely overcharge for everything, especially the transfers.. you can get a taxi from the hotel to the airport (only about 5 min drive) for 15 euro, sure you could get it even cheaper from outside the hotel, but Thomas Cook charge 45 pounds return!!!
Kos is a lovely island and we had a fabulous time, but no thanks to Thomas Cook or the hotel.
