Me & my boyfriend went to Algarve wanting a restful holiday and that’s exactly what we got we could not have asked for more the apartments were clean and the pool area it was 5 mins from the beach and the strip it was fantastic.

At that time of year as well we weren’t sure the weather was going to be all that good but it was brill just hot enough to get a tan be it was bearable which mad the nights comfortable to sleep as well.

I didn’t want to leave I would advise any one to got to this resort and this accommodation.

I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday apart from the apartments, the kitchen was filthy and we only received fresh towels twice in our two week stay. The pool was cloudy and five people staying here got ear infections in the two weeks from the pool.

The rep Becky was no help at all as we complained about all of the above and nothing was done about it. The electricity kept tripping out when the cooker was turned on. We were welcomed into our apartment to a flooded kitchen and were not moved, the area is beautiful and the strip is fantastic for young people. I would go back again but not to these apartments.

Resort is in a great location - its 10 mins walk to the beach and the "strip".

The room was huge with a huge balcony! Kitchen is large equipped with fridge, oven, washing machine, toaster. We did not have a kettle - used a pot to boil the water.

The only problem was that we got a room right above the bar - which proved to be very noisy and music went on until 2/3am every night except for Mondays (no events). We had an early day trip planned (7am) and we couldn’t get to sleep with the noise. If we knew this we would have requested a room on the opposite side to the bar!

We stayed out every night as long as possible to avoid the noisy bar but alas one day we needed an early night! IMPOSSIBLE..

So if you need some peace request a room away from the bar!

Otherwise it was comfortable with a great location and friendly staff.

It is a nice place but we had to buy two fans for night, as it was very hot. Ask for one of the apartments that open up to the balcony, as they are cooler at night. We made great friends with the barman Louis but he can get annoying at times. We met lovely people there and made loads of friends!

The apartments were spacious.

We were in a studio and it was very big. They need to get a new pool table also. They cleaners were very nice and cleaned the apartment regularly.

Just back from a fantastic week in the Natura Sun Club.

We had a one-bedroom apartment, which was very clean and spacious. We had a pool view and our balcony went on forever...you could have played football on it, it was huge and we had 2 sunbeds on it along with a table and chairs.

The people there were very friendly and most helpful and I highly recommend it because it is very central and within walking distance of everything. The only negative point I would have is the heat at nighttime. We had to buy a fan to enable us to sleep, as there is no air conditioning in these apartments.

There are lots of lovely restaurants on the strip and in the old town...spoilt for choice! Will definitely be back next year!

We booked our holiday at the Natura Sun Club after reading all the positive reviews. Peter has M.S and is partly paralysed down the left side, which causes difficulty walking, and he tires very easily. We had read many other hotel reviews, all which mentioned steep hills so the fact no mention of any hills when we booked made Natura seem the ideal choice.

We explained over Peter’s condition to the Travel agent when booking asked them to check there was no hill and that we could have a ground floor room. First Choice help line said there was a slight incline and we were given the impression ground floor room would be guaranteed after booking.

After paying for our holiday we were not guaranteed a ground floor room. This upset us so we e-mailed first choice to ask why a ground floor room could not be guaranteed. There were no lifts and I could not carry Peter and his wheelchair up flights of stairs.

We were then sent a disclaimer from First Choice to sign. They had decided The Natura was now on a hill and was not suitable for the less mobile, as there were no lifts. We could not have a refund and had to pay extra if we wanted a different place to stay. Also if we did not sign the disclaimer we could not have airport assistance.

Luckily we did get a ground floor room guaranteed before our holiday and it was perfect. We just had to walk out of the door over a bit of grass and we were on a sun bed round the pool. We were very happy at the Natura everyone was so nice. The room was spacious and had a separate kitchen with washer, cooker, fridge and microwave. It was cleaned six days a week.

The First Choice rep Ellen Nash was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She had lots of knowledge on the Algarve and could answer any queries you had. She booked all our trips and was always friendly and helpful.

We should have talked to Ellen before attempting the walk to Santa Eulalia beach. That was a bad mistake. I thought that it was going to be impossible to keep hold of the wheelchair it was so steep just before the last turn. I got very upset but a lady who did not speak a word of English was taking her children on the beach took one handle and I held the other and we managed it between us.

We were then charged twenty euros to hire two sun beds and parasol for the day. I only expected it to be about ten euros. We could not stop for the day. The toilets and restaurant were up many steps. It would be a good idea to take a cool bag for days on the beach if you are less mobile.

It was impossible to get a taxi back so Patricia and myself pushed Peter up the hill. I still do not know how. We did not have the energy to go back to the Natura to get showered and changed so went to Annabell’s for our tea straight off the beach. We must have looked a bit rough but they still made very welcome and we enjoyed a lovely meal and cold drink.

Albufeira is not wheelchair friendly, the incline is quite steep in parts from the Natura to the main road. The Kerbs are even worse once the front wheels were up I had to lift all Peter’s weight up. I did not find this easy but it did not spoil our holiday. I am not very strong but we did get lots of offers of help, which was very appreciated.

The courtesy bus to old Albufeira stops at the top of a lot of steps so that is not easy for the less mobile. We found it easier to get a taxi. Well worth the five euros.

We enjoyed trying out all the restaurants, they all were good. We found The Cockerel did a full English breakfast with cuppa P.G tips or ground coffee very tasty and only three euro fifty cents. The hotel bar also does a good breakfast but charges six euros and your drink is extra.

To get to the Cockerel you go to the top of the road from the Natura, cross over and walk right until you reach the Alisuper. The Cockerel is just down that road. Another restaurant we liked was Mary Ann’s. Carry on down the road passed the Cockerel to the Kelt and Kilt. Mary Ann’s is behind that. The food is lovely and with two adult meals you get a free child meal. That pleased Patricia as she could have one of the lovely desserts.

The Airport staff were fantastic both on Outbound and Return flights. Only problem we found at Faro airport was that once you go to your gate there is only one toilet. If your plane is delayed and you need to go there could be a long wait.

I would recommend Albufeira and the Natura Sun Club so long as you are reasonably mobile. You need to be fit or have a fit carer to assist you if you use a wheelchair.

Fantastic Holiday, we had two studios which were very spacious, each having twin beds and a small sofa bed (for a little more privacy you may want to consider one of the apartments)

Kitchenette was well equipped with cooker, fridge, sink, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There are 3 or 4 supermarkets within 2 minutes walking distance and these are really cheap and you can also get English papers round the corner.

The reception is open 24-7 and all staff are very friendly and helpful. I can’t really comment on the bar or food because we didn’t use them, I’ve got a few reviews on places to eat and I will post them as soon as I can

The TV was on most of the time in the bar so you can get your daily "fix" of soaps or the football. The brochure advertises satellite in the rooms but the channels are limited, Sky News, a music channel and some films.

There is loads of car parking space round the back.

The hotel is ideally located down a quiet side street so no sleepless nights. The beach is about 10 mins walk but down a steep hill so be ready for a trek back up to the main road. For those who just want to relax around the pool you won’t be disappointed. There is one big pool and a kiddie’s pool, these were a bit chilly but there is also an indoor pool. You have to wear bathing caps in the indoor pool which you can rent for e2 or you can buy one at "Algarve Shopping"

Timeshare and holiday club touts are out and about but aren’t too much of a problem, they have their own little areas (normally on street corners near the strip) they do try to push scratch cards into your hand as you walk by and lo and behold you win a free holiday, just remember the saying " They’re aint no such thing as a free lunch" and please read the small print very carefully before you sign anything or part with any money.

Would we go again?

Definitely!!!
