Eftelya Apart Hotel

We have just returned from a great time here in Eftelya hotel. The staff are great they cant do enough for you. rooms are basic clean and comfortable, towels changed very frequently and nothing is to much trouble you only have to ask. The grounds are full of fruit trees and the smell in the morning is refreshing. The food is cooked fresh and the menu is good, I would use this again.Over all it is good value for money.

Dont know where to start,It was a digusting experience from start to finish.
If you have not visited Turkey befor,visiting this hotel
you probably wont want to go again. This dump is not the norm.Been going to this area for years and i have never
been in such filthy accomadation and pool ( never ever cleaned plus no pump or filter )looked like a dirty swamp and by the way the most important thing on holiday is a clean pool,it is a danger to all who have to swim in it.
Could not wait to leave the filthy place.
Felt i had to do this review.

We were expecting basic accommodation which is definitely what you get here however what we didn’t bargain for was the following:
Dirty bed linen
Towels which were obviously left by previous guests
We had to ask for our room to be cleaned and bed linen & towels changed
The electric was switched off most nights which meant the air con went off
Our bathroom ceiling was leaking through the light fitting
Previous guests clothing left on top of the kitchen cupboards
This was just inside the room!!
We found used soap (hairs still adhered) in the bathroom
Toe nails on the floor
On the first day I voiced my concerns about the green murky and very cloudy looking pool which we affectionately renamed ‘the swamp’!
I was told it would be cleaned. I was asked on the following day if I thought the pool looked cleaner (it didn’t). I suggested that the owners take a walk across the road and check out the pool there which was beautifully clean and looked invitingly clear.
We spent the rest of our ‘pool days’ mainly in the Turtle aparts across the road where we were made very welcome.
We were asked on numerous occasions to have our evening meal at Eftelya. We were told that the owners had a poor summer and hadn’t made much money, as they had sold us cheap accommodation we should return the favour by eating there!! After declining a couple of times the welcome from them ‘waned’ somewhat!!
I have never written a holiday review before but feel it is my duty as a responsible human being to share my Eftelya holiday experience with the rest of the world!!!
To summarise then........ Do Not Go!!!!

Looked forward to a family holiday, went with my two kids one who is a 16 year old girl. Also with my mum and aunt and her grandaughter who is also 16. We arrived to find we had been allocated the wrong rooms, when we did get given a room, ours was dirty and smelled of damp. When the manager gave me my mums key he purposely dropped it down the front of my top. We couldn't plug the fridge in as the socket was literally hanging from the wall. There was mould in the bathroom. The shower was blocked so we had to turn it off to let it drain away halfway though. The sheets were never changed in the week were were away. My mum who had simliar experiences got given a towel with faeces on it. We dreaded going out as we were constantly harrassed by Deano, the owner asking us why we were not staying for food. Deano and his cronies wouldn't leave my 16 year old daughter and her cousin of the same age alone. The girls shared an equally filthy apartment on the ground floor and Deano and his mates would regulary stand outside their window shouting for them to come to the window. Deano asked them if they wanted to go see his dogs. We got ripped of with a bill for the bar and some food. We generally got the feeling we were an inconvenience. On the plus side, Turkey is beautiful and the majority of people we encountered were helpful and respectful. The food at the Milky Way Hotel was literally out of this world and the people were lovely, a huge contrast to Eftelya Apart who were amateurs at best. I would go back to Turkey as it's a wonderful place but never back to Eftelya Apart Hotel. Avoid like the plague unless you want your holiday ruined.
