Aydem Hotel

Driving up to the Aydem Hotel in the middle of the night does not really get your heart pounding.The night porter was very helpful and showed us to our room, which was very clean but basic. Next day as the sun was beating down( as allways) the hotel took on a new light . The pool and the view over the water to the Greek islands was fantastic, with a nice breeze coming in off the water. Well what can I say .... we returned from our holiday yesterday and had a fantastic time. We booked the day before we left and cost £700 bed and breakfast for 8 nights (2 adults and 1 toddler inc flights and transfers). The hotel The hotel is very clean. Our room was basic but very clean and was cleaned everyday if we wanted and towels changed as you needed. Cleaning staff were excellent and we often found that when we returned they had left our little boy surprises on his bed (his trains all in a line and other funny things !)... more

We were pleasantly surprised at the location of this hotel and also of the friendliness of the staff. We cannot praise the hotel owners enough also the reception staff too. A lovely walk into turgutreis along the shoreline. We can highly recommend to anyone this hotel. Taxi into the town cost from £3 ut if you can walk it is well worth doing so.

This hotel is lovely, caring staff, Manager is a she, she was very friendly, i felt safe at this hotel.. Breakfast was healthy, lunch and evening meal was lovely and healthy. Only cost 10turkish lira (£4) each time. Beautiful views outside, small beach, at around 7.30pm you can sit out there and watch the sun go down. Aydem Hotel is under new ownership since april 09 .The 'boss' introduced herself to us on arrival and sat and chatted to us over breakfast,she was lovely,approachable and made us feel very welcome . Went with husband cost £860 for two weeks last minute getaway. Bed and breakfast Breakfast was a buffet type, boiled eggs, bread, jam, olives, tomatoes cheese, meat. Nice pool and baby pool much needed in the heat there. German manager who orders the staff around, so is tidy around pool. There is a bar by the sea and has its own private beach. I stayed at the Aydem Hotel and enjoyed the sea and beach. I didn't expect it to be such good value! The food was great - I didn't spend much money on the a la carte menu as the buffets were quite good. The views from the hotel were fantastic. One incident stands out - there were some loud tourists (nationality not mentioned) and they kindly moved us to another room. Great service. Aydem is right next door to skysea hotel and its the furthest away from the centre of Turgetreis but the walk is so nice (about 10 mins) beside the sea that you don't really mind. The hotel is basic but it was clean. The showers are salt water, so for women with long hair it is a nightmare, but I just put my hair in a pony tail and that was it. The sun loungers were missing some cushions and there was a shortage of umbrellas by the pool but you couldn't stay in the sun all day anyway - you would be burned to a crisp. The bar staff... more

We arrived at thye Aydem with no idea what it was going to be like as we could find no reviews. This as the previoys reviewer said is because it has only been re opened since May this year. It feels as though they have simply just unlocked the doors and let guests in. We were shown to our room which was very minimal but seemed fairly clean. The bathroom was ok and we didnt have the same bad experience with the toilet and shower so it was ok. However I have to agree the that the shower seemed like sea water - I have not been to turkey before... more

Where do I start with this hotel? I think I better start by telling you that i never made an official complaint but this hotel is a JOKE! We arrived at the arirport and was picked up by Goldtrail rep's to be handed a welcome pack stating that previous holiday makes said this resort and hotel is so amazing that it didnt need a holiday rep, I dont know where thay get this from as we found out during our holiday that is has been shut for the past five years.
