" Very good value for money "

Third time in Tingaki but first in Filitsa. Arrived in middle of night and found the apartment to be spacious before collapsing into bed. Opened doors in the morning to be confronted with a big blue sky and a very open outlook. Filitsa looks over a big gap site with cattle eating their way throught he long grass and wild flowers. Can also see over to Turkey and the sea - lovely. I think 4 of the rooms face onto the road. Balconies get sun from about 12pm until sundown, lovely. As stated rooms are basic, large, airy, sink and fridge and hob (warm enough to make tea). Fridge made ice so that's good. Room was very clean and during the holiday was cleasned most days, towels changed every 2 to 3 days. Katrina who looks after the apartments is lovely, nothing is too much for her and she is very cheery and funny. She likes it if you speak a little greek too! As stated on main road a decent 10 minute walk to beach front (5 if you are in a hurry???). Beach itself was fabulous, long sandy clean beach, lots of loungers if you wish, quieter the further away from the resort you go. Beach volleyball available if that's your thing. Bars were plentiful with lots of different price ranges - you generally get a free shot in most bars. Redezvous bar is across the road from Filitsa with 6 big tellies to watch sports, soaps, movies anyhting you ask for they'll have a go in getting it for you. Fronted up by Colin the taffy (always good me!)
Lots of other bars noisy and quiet down the main drag to the beach. Note there is no noise late on, this is a very family friendly resort. There are lots of great restuarants: Oniero, Meni and Mylos were particularly nice. There are also lots of nice snack bars if you are there on a budget or have run out of money all open until very late at night. There are also some nice bars and restuarants along the beach front and a fantastic vineyard/restuarant about 2km out of the resort. The best of the best is the Scala Beach Restuarant at the roundabout. Brenda and I ate there most days, food was good, location excellent and the staff - Vassilis -proprietor, Ralu and Alkis were wonderful - I am learning Greek and they would always spend time with me talking, writing and having a laugh. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was good to sit and enjoy some wine and people watch. You can do as much or as little as you like, you can sit in busy retuarants/bars or quiet ones if you prefer, there is horseriding on the beach, go-carts, motorbikes, cycles. The Chinese restuarant is pretty good too!
I don't have a gripe about Filitsa but there is no air conditioning - it did not bother me as we were there early in the season, but I would imagine it might be a little hot in the middle of July/August. There is a large fan in each room which is good. All in all very very good we are going back in September.

Advice: Lovely, quietish resort with good bars and restuarants - Greek peopla are very friendly.

Activities: Oniero, Mylos, Meni, Scala - cycling, horseriding

Good for: Beach

" spacious appartments "

Have just come back from 2 weeks Tingaki and stayed at the Filitsa Appartments.Katerina was really friendly and put a bottle of water in the fridge in our arrival at 12 at night, she cleaned (including the bins),changed linen and towels daily unless we slept in and she would considerately try not to wake us up.Although i thought we had booked studio, in fact it was more an apartment with the fridge, cooking facitilies and a table in more or less a separate room, there is no air con but there is a fan in the room .On the minus side, there is no kettle in the room so bring one with you,and if you're looking for beachfront view this isn't it. From room 13, you look over a field with a couple of cows and Alpha car hire overspill parking, however the apartments are on the main road to the beach so we had fun people watching at all times of the day of night,on the top floor you get a glimpse of the sea and great view of neighbouring islands of Psimeros, Kalymnos and turkey.
Over the road is the Rendevous cafe Bar, with numerous TV screens if you want to catch up on Eastenders, and good cocktails, and Colin a really friendly barman from Wales.

Advice: Quiet resort

Activities: Ferry to Kalymnos and Telendos

Good for: Beach

" The best holiday we ever had!
... "

The best holiday we ever had!
The apartment was clean and tidy every single day. Filitsa Studios is located in the most-frequented resort in Tigaki.

It's at a place where all the fun starts and one step away from the nightlife noise.

We had access to bars, clubs, restaurants, car rentals and super markets, which were all by the Filitsa Studios building. It was amazing the fact that the room's balcony had enough space, that somebody could even invite friends to join. The view was amazing also and you could make all your nightlife plans (clubs, bars) and morning plans (going to the beach on foot- it's only 350metres from the endless beach) only by watching where most of the people were going...and they were going everywhere!

We also got an amazing suntan to remember. Don't overdo it, but if you do, there are 2 pharmacy stores nearby and a health centre.

Filitsa Studios in Tingaki gave us the most wanted vacations we ever dreamed of!

Don't forget meeting the owners - FILITSA it's a family business & you'll be treated as part of the family.

" Extremely clean apartments. Clean... "

Extremely clean apartments. Clean towels and sheets every two days. Bins emptied daily which is very rare on the Greek Islands. Do take a travel kettle as they are not supplied (the only fault I found). Each apartment has it's own balcony.

Why they are rated 2 star I do not know, I will be going back again next year. Katrina the cleaner is very friendly, and will sort any problems you might have (not that you will have any).

Tigaki is very quiet, with a long sandy beach only 400 metres away from apartments. 50 metres away is the Oneiro Taverna with excellent food and it's very clean (highly recommended). Georgios and the rest of the waiters go out of their way to help you.
