Villa Tulipan

We stayed at Villa Tulipan for two days in May 2010 in the Archeology Room and enjoyed every part of it. The room was very comfortable (we were warned about the tiny bathroom but didn't mind). For the reasonable price it was great! The roof terrace is magnificent and the breakfasts up there most enjoyable. Emmy was very welcoming and we became part of a group of friends up there on the roof. We stayed here for one night in September en route from Istanbul to visit relatives further down the coast. Emmy met us at the airport & immediately made us feel at home. The room was comfortable & the roof terrace wonderful. There is an air of peace & harmony which Emmy strives to maintain. A good breakfast is served on the roof terrace & at other times Emmy invites guests to make drinks etc - the fridge is well stocked with beer! I would highly recommend this pension to others & we hope to return.

We stayed for 5 nights at Villa Tulipan and it was the best place we stayed in Turkey. Better than hotels. Hemmy is very nice and very helpful. The perfect host. The terrace is great. A lovely view and what a place to relax. Forget the telly, CNN and BBC, you don't need it. Breakfast on the terrace, stroll through Antalya during the day, back to the terrace for a beer or a wine then out to dinner. Want to buy a carpet? Want to find a good barber for a shave and to be pampered? want a Turkish Bath? Just ask Hemmy she will point you... more

During my first visit to Antalya I feeled at home. I even thought about living there for a long period. Especially because Villa Tulipan gave me a feeling of being home. It's amazing how little time it cost me to feel comfortable. During my holidays I made several trips to beautiful places (and it is amazing how many beautiful spots the coast of Turkye have!) I am longing to my next holiday because there are still so many places I want to see again (not in the last place my visit to Aspendos to join a concert at that wonderful, ancient spot)... more
