Seray Hotel

If it wasn't for the staff, this would have been the holiday from hell. We love Turkey and have been going annually for eight years. We love the Turkish people, the food, the culture and, of course, the weather. But this hotel has given us serious doubts about going back. The staff are excellent. Have just returned from a week staying at the Hotel Seray in Marmaris. Once we managed to get into our room (1.00 pm on the second day) we were able to appreciate the high standard of service and good quality room! On arrival we were given no reason why but were taken to a nearby hotel where we were expected to stay at least overnight due to hotel being full. Just got back from this hotel today . it was advertised as a 4* all inclusive hotel . i arrived at dalaman airport at 15 hnd hours transfer to the hotel was 3 &1/2 hrs . when i got to the prison / hotel the rules began . once the choice (YES I MEAN CHOICE) it was gone no more left as they say finished. you get a choice of soft drinks / beer / gin / vodka / raki / or wine . the bar closes at 11pm and at 10 30 it is one drink to one person. ie your partner and kids need to go the bar themselves.the food is terrible i had to eat out every night... more

My Girlfriend and I booked this hotel and then read the reviews on this site. So too late i thought. Our stay was a very pleasant suprise. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The pool is the average size and a foliage covered wall gave total privacy (unlike 90% of all other pools in marmaris). The hotel location was excellent in being near the beach and not too close to the noisy nightlife. The food was basically Turkish but there again why go to Turkey and expect a full english breakfast. We booked hotel Seray in Marmaris under the impression that it was a 4* all inclusive hotel (according to the publicity from Hotels4U.com). In fact the hotel is more like a hostel and probably only suitble for back packers etc. It is still being listed as a hostel under the hotelbookers.com website so how holiday firms can justify this hotel as a 4* all inclusive beats us. This Hotel is NOT 3*!! And it has NO FITNESS CENTRE! The food was insulting! No choice at all, we only had 1 dessert for the whole 2 weeks we were there, warm banana moose! The pool was never cleaned, it was green when we arrived, we went all inclusive but had to eat out everytine lunch and dinner time because the food at the Seray was so bad! Avoid this Hotel at all costs! more

The hotel was clean as was the pool area, staff helpful and hard working. But 3star A.I. it certainly was not.The first five nights all that was served was chicken no other choice ! Lunch was meat balls nothing else. Salads were put out for hours at a time with out any kind of chiller just left sitting there in the heat. The hotel seray well what can i say just come back yesterday and absoultely loved it it was the best two weeks ever, the staff are brillant 5 star could not do enough for you, food was basic, but edible, rooms were good, hotel was clean rooms cleaned every day. nice hotel clean and friendly staff.hotel has just started all inclusive and maybe have time to learn now the food.turkish breakfast only ,then 1hour lunch usually meat balls soup and fruit,dinner similiar ,but maybe chicken and salads but no choice bar is outside though there is a bar at front and restaurant but not for all inclusive to use ,bar shuts at 11pm and icecream and fresh juice is not free and tea and cake is served in the afternoon i enjoyed the weather company.and the holiday as such but all is not free the gym... more

Very clean rooms and toilets, nice stuff (especially pool and kitchen staff). The only thing to improve is knowledge in english and german but everyone will be able to communicate with the staff. Perfect place to spend Your holidays - without the shadow of a doubt. more
