Well anyone thinking of going to this hotel, even though its a bargain DONT! the hotel needs to be inspected and closed down, there are so many health and safety issues at this hotel, and it is not clean, there is no hot water, the all inlcusive food is repetative and not... more

nice even very nice for that price
before we went there I read almost all reviews and i have to say I was a bit worried but in fact everything was ok. The resort is in nice area not far away from the airport ( 15 min by car) and from Bodrum ( 40 min by bus). the beach was lovely special that at that time it wasn t so busy, food was nice as well everything was fresh and tasted good. The staff couldn t speak English properly but they tried the best to make us happy. The rooms were a bit old but we didn t spent much time there so no complains. they have amaizing garden and the... more
Avoid like the plague
We had a 17hour delay coming back from our gorgeous hotel in Kusadasi, First Choice arranged for us all to go to this hotel for food and rest, well if i had booked this one for a holiday I would have been extremely dissapointed and probably got the next flight home, everyone was complaining to the rep and even she had to agree that it was disgusting and after a few hours had organised the coaches to come and pick us all up and take us to a restaurant for a meal. I always like to find something positive, the view was it. Apparently the hotel... more
You get what you pay for..............
Yes the hotel as a whole is looking 'tired'. Yes the food was repetative, yes the entertainment was virtually non exsistant. But you do get what you pay for. If like us you got a cheap and I mean VERY CHEAP deal what do you expect. As for there being lots of Turkish people there, HELLO.... you are in holiday in Turkey. The hotel is set in a beautiful bay which does not have access by people from other hotels. The weather was glorious when we were there. What more can you want. A bonus is the fact that it is only about 20mins from... more
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL
Found this holiday through the internet and booked it fairly late on. We have been to all inclusive 3/4* hotels in Cyprus, Dom Rep, Thailand, Spain, Bulgaria & Turkey. The experiences have been mixed but this set a new standard. Unfortunately, it was the lowest possible standard. The food was inedible and was covered with wasps. The management were unhelpful and after 3 days of no hot water at all, we managed to get a transfer to a real 4* hotel.
Not too bad
Everthing you read about this hotel is true. The ground were fabulous, staff friendly enough, unfortunately some brits were loud and quite ( I am ashamed to say)rude to the staff, so in my view got what they deserved. The food did get better as the week went on, but hubbie refused to eat in the resturant after some bad experiances ( food wise) so had to eat in the village, which is lovely. If the money is spend this resort could well deserve the 4 * rating, but not yet. We didnt left the fact theat the rooms were basic,... more
not that bad
went on the 3rd of sept for 7days, had read the reviews before we went so was not sure what we were going to get. we did not find any problems with the room yes a bit dated but cleaned every day at whatever time after we left the room. The resort is a bit dated but that is due to it being run down then closed and the goverment taken it over and the people nin it now rent it from the goverment and hav only been open for a few months. There is a privete beach and it is beautiful, peacful and nobody bothers u. there is a lot of steps and... more
warning Do not go
WHAT CAN I SAY well........ room adequate cleaned everyday, food not even fit for the local CATS had to eat out after the first taste of the food even the locals felt sorry for us. The surroundings and the beach were great and the local village and people lovely................ but avoid this hotel like the plague should all ask for our money back ................annoying thing is you can see potential but no money invested here The view from the balcony was fab and the cleaning staff good but that was it
Very Dissapointing
Hotel Mavi was the most shocking 4* hotel we have ever seen. Wasp infested, food VERY average and cold, decor outdated, smelly, dirty, tired, untidy staff etc. We booked our holiday on the internet where the hotel was advertised as 4* whick was very misleading as it was a generous 2. Could have been very nice but clearly no money had been spent on the place for years. Unfortunatly we booked 14 nights and were ready to come back after 7. Do not go here!
mavi viilage hotel
we have just returned from a weeks stay at the mavi village hotel in gulluck. our first impressions were favourable as the grounds were very nice and it has its own private beach. the rooms were basic but ok. the horror started in the restaurant, it was poorly lit the floors were filthy, the tablecloths looked as if they hadnt been changed for weeks and to add to this there were wasps swarming all over the place, crawling all over the food, the room was very warm so we were suprised to see the salad and cold meat cheese etc just on platters... more
DON'T GO--- WARNING--- DON'T GO
I want this to be a WARNING to who ever is thinking of going to this, so called 4 star hotel, DON'T GO..... Don't get this hotel mixed up with the hotel Mavi Kumsal, Bodrum as we did and many of the other Brits who found themselves in the Mavi Holiday Village, Gulluk. This is not a 4 star hotel, it is more like a 1 star at its best which we never saw. The rooms are basic but the bathrooms are in need of retiling and having new fittings, I had to go to the local supermarket to buy a bottle of bleach to try and get the bathroom... more
