Got back yesterday after 2 weeks at the First Class Hotel and our first ever visit to Turkey. I can only reiterate the majority of comments I have read about this hotel. It's dirty, dated and the choice of food is severely limited. We went on a B & B basis. The breakfast... more

Never having been to Turkey before we expected nothing sparkling but clean, but how wrong we were. The room was filthy, salt water coming for the shower and tap. The fittings were disgusting, we had to buy bleach to try and clean what we were using, hot (well warm) water... more

this is by no means a 4 star hotel. After arriving at 7am we had to carry cases up 2 flights of stairs as lift is broken, which has a sign saying it will be fixed in 1 week, app it hasn,nt worked since July! rooms are very basic, bathroom is laughable, if its not so dangerous! we were right above c j,s nightclub, which do not turn there music off till 3 or 4 in the morning.as they are in competition with the 2 pubs nxt door. This was our 9th time in altinkum, and have never complained anywhere else, but after 2 days in this hotel, we asked... more
hatedtheplace
terrible place to be ,arrogant recepionist, cleaners useless, but on saying that i do not think they were provided with enough linen to change towels etc as you would expect,we travelled to this hotel last year twice and it was fine, manager had changed this yearand this made a lot of difference,it certainly is not a 4 star as advertised .The behaviour of certain members of management and certain staff was disgusting.I have travelled to Altinkum for 16 years and i have never experienced anything like this before.
absolute nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hiya this i am afraid is a long one ,we arrived at the hotel and were greeted by chicho the local creep?thug?and general pervert trying to sell his turkish night we had 4 rooms booked as a group ,we had previously stayed there twice last year so the change was a total shock to our system. We were given rooms on third floor but the lift was broken and remained broken for the full fortnight,my dad who is 75yrs and recently been ill had problems climbing the stairs we asked for an alternative at the earliest convenience but although there were... more

Avoid this place if at all possible! (Sorry, this is a long review!)
We were looking forward to staying here as soon as we heard that it was a 4 star. However, this is NOT worthy of 4 stars, we would rate it as a 2+ star. If you go expecting 4 star standard you will be very disappointed. The main problems were: 1) The room - 5 words: Small, dirty, dangerous & falling apart. The bed was uncomfortable, with only one pillow each and one thin sheet which seemed far too small for a double bed - I woke up every night shivering and with my feet sticking out of the bottom! Parts of the door frame were also... more

On booking our holiday myself and my partner were under the impression that we had booked a 3* accommodation for our 14 night stay in Altinkum, during our holiday in august 2006. On offer was; ideal location for beach visits and a relaxed family environment topped with 'one of the largest pool facilities in the area'. On arriving in the early hours of the morning, we were initially glad to just relax in our room and catch up after a hectic night flight, unaided by our arduous transfer from Bodrum and our less than tolerant local holiday... more
Value for Money - but a fw comments
Just returned from the First Class today and returned with very mixed feeling. First of all the positives. For my Wife and I for a week B&B the was was just over £80 it is important when you read this report the price is remembered because a High Quality Hotel it wasn't but nor was the price a High Quality price. It is in a good locality very close to the beach and a few shops, also a good number of bars and restaurants very close. The Dolmus (the small local bus) also passes the front door very frequently from quite early... more
very acceptable!
This Hotel is in an excellent location. Easy walking distance to all amenities and a lovely beach. The pool is large and there are plenty of sun loungers to cater for everyone. The staff were always on hand to help and bring drinks etc to you as you sunbathe! The food from the pool bar was reasonably priced and served its purpose! The rooms in the hotel are basic. I am sure it was a 4* hotel when it was built but could now do with some TLC. That said, the beds were comfortable, the room regularly cleaned and the air conditioning... more
Complete Rip Off
Well where do we start. Was here for 3 weeks and would not book again. Staff very Freindly as in most of Turkey but rest is a bit of a shambles. Rooms ok with a Tv that you can only see one english channel on, Beds very uncomfortable as matresses must have been the cheapest they could find. Must admit my bathroom was good apart from continuous dripping taps in shower Everything was so expensive .. 3.5 liras for a very small coffee or tea (about £1.40 ) 4 liras for a 1.5 litre bottle of water where in... more

Never again! On arrival the initial impressions in reception were fine, but The room was tiny, we had to ask for bedding the first night and the towels were grey.. Not a place to take your granny, steep steps up to reception, the lift was always breaking down and the corridors dark. The bathroom left a lot to be desired To get into the shower you had to climb over the toilet, there was about a six inch gap between the toilet bowl and the shower entrance,to get in you need to be very agile. The shower leaked and the... more
