Bigehan Hill Hotel

Booked through Coop Travel for what was supposed to be a Goldtrail three sun all inclusive, full facilities, hotel. What we got was the Bigehan. Located up a steep hill (1 in 10 incline) at Ovacik. Facilities nonexistent - no Tv, radio, sports facilities, games area, no entertainment - just the hotel and scrubland. I am going to begin with the highlights. The pool is nice. Now that is over with, let's get down to the real nitty gritty of this place. The rooms will be cleaned as often as you require, there is a courtesy bus to the beach and snacks can be ordered between meals. That doesn't sound so bad does it? I agree. The food in this hotel was awful, breakfast was the same everyday which consisted of a traditional turkish breakfast, if you wanted an english breakfast there was a charge of 9lira. once the food was gone it wasnt replaced so it was on a first come first serve basis, each of the plates of food was swarming with bees as all courses are served outside. dinner was rarley hot and the bread was usualy stale. the bedroom was very basic with a bed and wardrobe, if you wanted air conditioning then there wer extra charges. the shower was not... more

We were also there the same time as Tawie 121, we can only agree with everything he said. The hill outside was like a mountain track, the dolmus refused to go up there our only chance of getting around was by taxi, and going on an AI holiday meant our budget was low. My husband is 64 they put us in a room up four flights of stairs there were no lifts in this hotel. Booked on Teletext and had package through Goldtrail Holidays. We paid for 7 nights all inclusive at this 3 star hotel. Wouldn't rate it 1 star though the turkish government have it as a 2 star. Dirty rooms, Cockroaches, dirty linen and towels. More important is the food. We along with 25 others had major health problems as a result of eating there. Goldtrail rep (Jonnie) and H/O in Marmaris did not want to know and refused any help. Sewage flowed into the pool and only put bleach in it to clean it.
