We have just come back from having a lovely holiday at the Dense Apartments, and wat can i say.....it was fantastic, Maria is lovely, Nikos is mad ha ha ha, Efi is really sweet, all the staff and family were brilliant, they couldn do enough to help us, considering we were a large party....17....little ziggy Maria'a dog is lovely, he had lots of fuss from all of us, and he loved it, the apartments were clean and tidy, fresh towels every day, but if anyone tells u its only a short stroll into kos town THEY ARE LYING lol.....its a good 45 mins away, so take my advise go on the bus it cost us €3.20 for family 4 not bad eh....or u could hire a bike of maria for €3 a day, and they are fab, we done that one day and had a great time....we made some wicked friends while there, so hi to Sjored, Ivo, Tinie, Route, Laurence,Barbie, Steve.....and everyone else thanks for making it a memorable holiday.......we will def go back.......

Just returned from one of the best holidays ever. Nikos and family are superb hosts and always ready to help. Views are to die for. Very clean and the maid service was of a high standard. Pool area was ideal for sun bathers and and people wanting shade. Pool was cleaned everynight without fail. Entertainment was good except from Nikos singing, but it got better after a few drinks. Will be returning next year come hell or high water.

My partner and I have just returned from here today and well what can I say. We had a thoroughly enjoyable,relaxing holiday. Nikos and Maria and the rest of the staff are always on hand and will go out of their way to help you. On our first night we started chatting to other couples and found out that this was a regular holiday for them with one couple having gone there for the last 8 years and others at least 4 years running. I would recommend these apartments to both couples and families who either want a relaxing holiday by the pool or who enjoy the buzz of the nightlife as Kos Town is only a 3 minute bus ride away.
In conclusion my partner and I will certainly look at returning to these apartments when we next book a holiday.

Have just returned from a week at the Denise appartments. Maria and her son Nikos are lovely and are there for you if needed but do not bother you otherwise.
The appartments are very clean and a good size with the towels and sheets changed a couple of times during a weeks stay.
The food from the bar menu is excellent and good value.
The pool is spotless along with the surrounding gardens. Very pretty with the palm trees and grass around the site.
Kos town is a good 20 min stroll away so why not hire one of the many cycles that Maria has, its a lovely ride and very safe with proper cycle ways and only a small ammount of road to ride along. We cycled to Tigakaki and back, not bad for two 50+ year olds!
All in all the Denise appartments offer a relaxing holiday with friendly staff and we would definately return for another holiday in Kos.

We had such a fantastic time on our holiday in May we have now booked for September. We would highly recommend The Denise Apartments to anyone. The atmosphere was great and we met a lot of nice people. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK. Maria and the family were so helpful and the pool was lovely and clean and clear, but cold, certainly woke you up after the night before. Kos its self is beautiful and full of character.

I've just returned from my stay in Denise Apartments. I had a fabulous time. My studio apartment was basic but cleaned daily, the bed linen was changed twice or 3 times in a week. The shower could only be hand held but I didn't pay a lot of money so I wasn't expecting plush!
There is a small supermarket about 10 mins walk away. Three or four tavernas within about 10 mins walk. Kos Town centre is about 30 mins walk (easy stroll pace) or 5 mins bus journey (1 euro).
The pool is a good size, lovely & clean & there was plenty of space around the sunbeds.
There is a nice atmosphere at the Denis apartments pool bar at any time of day. The music playing in the bar during the day was not overbearing at all.
I was holidaying on my own for the first time so I chose an island I had been to before but it was just luck that these apartments provided exactly the right sort of atmosphere for someone on their own to get chatting to others. The karaoke night turned out to be a real bonding experience & a great laugh but no-one was bullied into joining in. I found the family running the apartments to be friendly & generous, especially with the complimentary ouzo that kept appearing. My apartment was very close to the pool bar so if you are a light sleeper the lively bar noise may keep you awake as it went on till the early hours.
On departure day there was a room where we could store our bags & there was also a shower in the bathroom attached to the bar.

I have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Denise apartments and I can't wait to go back. I have never experienced such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere or met so many new friends! Many of the people I met there had already been several times and maintained that Denise apartments was their favourite holiday place, I totally agree!
The Denise is family run and you can't help but feel like one big family. Most nights we enjoyed entertainment from quiz nights, karaoke to Greek dancing! (I was up on the tables dancing the night away). Also Nikos (the owner) loves his sport and is very passionate about football and basketball, watching him during a match is entertaining enough! He even arranges matches between local apartments for the guests to take part. The whole family are very welcoming and can't do enough for their guests.
The apartments are very nice and are cleaned on a daily basis including a change of sheets every two days!
There are many restaurants nearby and are in walking distance however, if you wish to go into Kos centre it is a 30 minute stroll or a 5 minute bus ride which is very cheap! The beaches are small on this side of the island but other beaches are just a bus journey away.
There are many day trips to take part in and are available through the operators who are at the apartments nearly every day.
If considering Kos then please take the opportunity to experience this wonderful place where you will be thoroughly looked after and made to feel very welcome.
Overall, the whole experience was very enjoyable and I would like to thank the whole family for making it such a brilliant holiday, especially Nikos who was a wonderful host. See you next year!

This is our 6th year with our extended family, Maria, Dimitra, Nik, Effy and baby bump lulus and Ziggy.
It’s only the best place to be, our second home. The apartments are spotless as are all the public areas; the pool is attended to on a daily basis and is as clear as spring water.
What can I say about the Souvalaki but yum yum, cant wait till we are back again and it could be very soon.
You are very well looked after by all the family and nothing is too much, all you have to do is ask.

The apartments are well equipped on an extremely quiet complex which is well over 3km from Kos town. Any decent beach is a 30 min walk away. Beware if you do not attend the weekly barbie Maria, the owner, doesn't speak to you again.
If you are looking for a quiet holiday, set away from the shops and bars, (35minwalk) or 10/15min taxi ride 6/7euro, then this is the place for you. Daytime you can hear a pin drop. In Kos town there are lots of restaurants but apart from Bar Street there is no entertainment in the bars etc.
Try a boat trip to three island about 25 euro. You should consider the Poseidon - staff are lovely. Try and avoid Lazaurs the largest ship-you are packed like sardines on this one-staff are indifferent especially to British who are in the minority in Kos

Me my girlfriend and sister have all just back from Kos and had a brilliant time the Denise apartments was very clean tidy pool was great and all where friendly even the little doggy Ziggy.
The weather well what can I say really hot not 1 cloud in the sky and temp of 100c + every day which made the holiday even better. All the locals where really friendly and the food and clubs where great.
A couple of down sides was that beeches weren’t that great but the sea was lovely .on day 2 my girlfriend got heat stroke and was very ill that night ,a crashed my faulty moped and ended up with cuts and bruises, lucky me!!!
My little sis got a nasty heat rash over her whole body on day 5, but apart from that a great holiday.

My wife and I have just returned from two weeks at the Denise apartments in Psalidi and after a small problem on arrival, when we were allocated a tiny room below ground level which we found totally unacceptable and refused to stay in, or unpack.
After a short wait Nickos the manager found us a lovely room on the top floor, which was probably the nicest and cleanest room we have ever stayed in on any of the islands we have visited. (We even had a shower curtain!).
The whole complex is kept spotlessly clean and extremely well maintained. There are plenty of sun beds around the pool and in the adjacent garden area with more seating in the shade by the bar.
The location is nice but not quite what is described in the Olympic brochure. Psalidi is not Kos Town! Unless you are a power walker it will take probably an hour to walk to the centre but the buses are cheap and easy to use, and the stops are at the end of the road.
Psalidi beach is awful so unless you like sunbathing on a rubbish tip you will need to go elsewhere for a nice beach. Go into town by bus then walk past the tour boats to the other side of the harbour to the town beaches.
The sun beds and parasols are owned by the bars and are all free! All you do is buy a few drinks and enjoy the ambience.
For some really good food. Walk to the end of the road and cross over, walk towards Kos Town and go in the first taverna you come to. (Nestoras) Try the Lamb Kleftico.
There are some really lovely beaches on Kos but you will need to hire a car to get to them.
Try Camel beach you will not be disappointed. Hope you enjoy your holiday as much as we did.

Booked as a last minute cheap holiday and based on that staying at the Denise apartments was, on the whole, OK.
Clean and well looked after pool and grounds made the stay pleasant but based on experiences on other Greek islands (Crete and Rhodes) with supposedly similar level of accommodation, the Denise was a bit disappointing in other areas....
Arriving at 6am on a Sunday morning (told you it was a cheap holiday!) -and based on past experience - was expecting a basic "welcome package" including a bottle of water or something to drink but nothing was provided and with no option to get hold of anything had to boil the kettle and drink hot tap water - just what you want in 36 degree heat!
Bathroom was half finished with electrical fittings hanging off the wall, the "extraction" system was a hole in the ceiling, and the constant smell of drains was not pleasant.
The bed linen was in poor condition and sweat stained and was not changed during our week long stay.
What miffed us most was the constant noise from the pool bar area every night until gone 2am - if it wasn't the Greek night or the karaoke it was the general level of shouting and music.
With a room overlooking the pool and high temperatures at night the need to keep the doors and windows open meant the only way to get a decent night's sleep was to wear ear plugs. Not something to complain about too much... until you read the notice on the back of the apartment door admonishing guests to be quiet and considerate when coming and going in the evening!
The other thing that was apparent was that money is the owners driving motivation - "too hot at night?", "no problem, hire a cheap plastic fan that probably costs 10 Euros for 15 Euros a week"... "Late night departure?", "no problem, pay 20 Euros to extend your room occupancy 6 hours"... Other places we have stayed at have fans f.o.c. if no air conditioning in rooms and as for charging for extra hours in your room? Everywhere else makes one room available for all late departure guests.
From conversations heard around the bar and pool this is obviously a popular place to stay over and over again but not for us.

What can I say about these apartments that has not been said. Maria, Nikos & Dimetra and Louis make sure you all enjoy your holiday
We spent my husband's 50th birthday and what a special night they made it karaoke, birthday cake, they put up the balloons and banners we had taken with us. It was definitely a night to remember or not as the case may be!
Rooms are spacious, spotless and well equipped. Pool has plenty of beds and shade if that’s what you want.
Bikes can be hired for 20 Euros a week and the areas around the apartment are quiet and safe. A small number of restaurants and bars are close by or Kos town is 25 mins away walking, a short bus ride or a 7 euro taxi ride
The strength of these apartments is in the family, nothing is too much trouble and the people who visit year after year are just as welcoming to "Denise Virgins.”
Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kos, my only complaint is I only spent a week there and not longer!

I have just returned from the denise apartments for the second time with my wife and 2 friends.
The third time seems so far away we can’t wait to go back. I can not big this place up enough, the family are the nicest people - nikos - effy an baby bump are brilliant, we love Maria an Dee, an who can forget Louis the handyman and ziggy the dog.
The pool is the cleanest I have ever swam in the food is brilliant the apartments are very comfy an clean what more could you want oh yes the crazy entertainment.
