we had fab time here and Johnny is a lovely guy.
He doesnt bother you and hes very helpful.
What do people want for the price its basic and clean and in the best position right on the beach. Phillipos pool accross the road is lovely and clean and all in all great.
People are just to fussy its Greece after all.

Wow, some very mixed reviews!
We stayed at Ladikos last summer, and yes it's very basic, but it was more than enough. Our room was clean and felt secure. The cooking facilities werent up to much but so what? Kardamena is full of great restaurants so get out and eat in them!
Johnny was very pleasant towards us - I think if you treat him and the accomodation with respect, he will appreciate that. We felt very safe having him around.
At the end of the day, we liked the location and we liked Johnny, so we're coming back!!!

Basic apartments, right on the beach. Sheets were never changed and the bin in the toilet was not changed for the whole week we were there. A dead cat was also left to rot for a few days on the pavement area outside our front door - not very nice. However, we didnt spend much time in the apartments we were either on the beach or at the pool at another hotel. Good if you dont plan to spend a lot of time in the apartment or cook there.

ladikos beach studios are awful!
the owner johnny is very rude and inconsiderate and obviously doesnt care about his guests hving a good time. the appartments were cleaned once in the whole fortnight i was there and the bed linen wasnt changes once. i ended up having to clean it myself! the only god thing about ladikos beach studios is where its situated, but i would rather have payed to sleep on the beach than in that filth!

Have stayed in Kardamena twice before, once at the Cleopatra and once at Paraskos.
The rooms (especially the seafront ones) at Ladikos are tiny, when my boyfriend lay down on the bed his feet overhung the bed and didnt leave enough room for me to walk past. Also they are way too hot.
The rooms were cleaned about once every 3 days but there were always loads of ants in the room.
Not enough space to put your clothes, bags etc.
We ddint have any probs with Johnny but I wouldnt go back to the Ladikos, far too small for us (my o/h is 6ft4) and too hot in the rooms at night

Agree completely with most other reviews. Johnny does nothing to win over his customers, the rooms are not cleaned sufficently, nor is the bed linen changed often enough, the hob (two small rings) and cooking utensils are inadequate to say the least.
Johnny is often rude, and accusatory to younger guests ie our children. Appears nice on the surface but think it would pay him to remember that we had paid to stay at Ladikos - never again. Two couples left and refused to stay in Ladikos during our 2 week visit and paid double for other apartments.
Kardamena however gets a big thumbs up, with special thanks to the every helpful Phillpos and Katrina (his sister btw), which is opposite to the Ladikos, it has a pool/snack bar/sun beds and also apartments (far superb to Ladikos) and should I return we will stay there.

All the negative things said about Johnny are correct. He obviously loves his sports car more than his guest. This is kept under wraps and clean as opposed to the rooms. He clearly spends his money not on a cleaner as you never see one and also never get a change of sheets or towels. We went for a week and never had them changed once. The apartments are basicand if you are expecting to cook in them, then all the best. The hob is tiny and the cooking equipment is minimal to say the least. HOWEVER, take Johnny out of it and his attitude and you will have a great holiday. The location of the apartments saves him as they are 50 metres from both the beach and the pool at Phillipos Apartments opposite. Its a shame Johnny is not like Phillipos. He is so friendly and along with his wife, they really look after you round the pool. The pool is a good size and great if you like TV as he has 2 TV screens at the bar area, with Sky Sports!! Kardemena is a great resort, lively if you like that kind of thing but also has loads of nice restaurants and bars to have a more quieter evening experience. Would definately recommend Yianni's and Ariadni restaurant for evening meal, excellent quality. For a breakfast try Sunbeams on the seafront. Excellent full english for only 5 euros. Ladikos apartments are great for their location, excellent restaurants close and for Phillipos and pool opposite. Unfortunately my score loses 3 points purely down to Johnnys attitude and the way he looks after the rooms. Phillipos has apartments so maybe better to stay there!

Right,so you have read all mixed kinds of reviews about the Ladikos Apartments in Kardemena, lets start from the beginning. Johnny can be a nice guy, but when you get to see what hes really like your opinion may change. First of all, your first vision of the apartment will be that it is in a great location, right by the sea and very near to the centre for shops and right opposite 'Phillipos' snack bar and swimming pool. Yet downstairs his pride and joy, a mitsubishi, takes up the whole bottom floor so peoples balcony on the bottom floor is of just that. The maid came just once during our week stay and all she did was lay our sheets again, which were already stained with makeup before we got there, and change our bin.We were allowed no other towels or toilet roll and when looking at the cooking utensils, you will be disgusted at how dirty they were.The cooking hob also is very very basic and small. The rooms are all basic and have smallish balconies but for the price i guess you pay for that.
Just watch out for Johnny as he is always looking behind the curtain of his room at any little thing happening around his apartments. There were a group of 3 girls that were staying there also that were on our flight, and he made some very rude remarks to them about not bringing men back to their apartment, and hes up at all hours so theres no way to escape him!!!!
Apart from Johnny the location is amazing. Phillipos and his snack bar opposite is a lovely, friendly guy. Its very close to great restaurants like 'Ariadni' and 'Yiannis' and is very close to the main square with bars and clubs. The beach there is sand/ stone but is very nice just in front of the restaurants.
Overall a good holiday apart from Johnny, but Kardemena is a great place for couples to go on holidaaaaaay

The hotel was the essnce of basic, consisting of no more than 3 beds 1 hob and and a simple bathroom. Even though there was a hob to cook on there was lack of any proper cooking equiment. On top of this we had to buy our own toilet role, with the maid only coming once in 2 weeks to clean our room.
If the lack of any facilities wasn't bad enough it was the owner 'Johny' who seemed set on attempting to ruin an other wise fantastic holiday. The only time he spoke to us was to demand money for things like the safe and fan on a daily basis even after paying him. However it was the final day which really showed Johnys true colours.
Once he found out that we were not keeping our room on and tried to place are bags in the neighbours room he exploded shouting and threatening us, then when my friend went into the room next to say bye to some friends we had made over there, Johny ASSAULTED HIM DRAGGING HIM OUT THREATENING HIM BEFORE PUNCHING HIM in the side of the head.
Kos itself is a fantastic place to go with friendly people,great bars and clubs. However I would never stay here again without fearing for my safety.

Did not like hol at all rooms where not spacious and a tv without english channels? whats going on? the pool was good however the sauna had a piece of excrement that made the sauna stink! the bathroomwas horrible it was dirty and not clean. The toilet would not flush so it stunk after you had a few dumps. Overall terrible 1/10 did not like at all wont be going there again.
