What a holiday. Arriving at the end of March for a long awaited stay in Tenerife. We arrived at Playazul for our stay and were greeted by the staff of the building, very pleasant people.
We were allocated our rooms straight off. Was a bit of a shock when we got into the rooms, was very surprised what we had got for our money. The place was very clean and tidy and had a lovely view, the only problem was the bin men being around at 4am what a time to collect rubbish.
Had a wee nosey around after everything was unpacked, the pool and pool bar was lovely and clean. There was a stag do staying also in Playazul and the crack was mighty, I couldn’t fault these apartments at all.

Just getting back from Tenerife 3 days ago, me and my boyfriend who are both 19 stayed at the Playazul apartments where it is a small but friendly resort.
From the moment we got to the airport we thought it was the holiday from hell as we were transferred on to the wrong bus which took us to the wrong apartments which looked scruffy.
But when we finally arrived at the playazul apartments I was relieved the hotel looked lovely and the staff gave us a warm welcome.
The only thing I could say was wrong with the place is having to lug your cases up lots of stairs of down lots of stairs.
When we finally got to our room 206 Z it was nice and clean and just had the correct equipment for our stay it was very practical but cosy.
The 1st thing we did is too push the 2 separated sofa beds together which made it more appropriate for partners together.
We had a look around complex and pool area was lovely quite during to the time of the year but pool area looked clean and bar looked nice too.
after looking around apartments we had a look outside at the surroundings and we came to a bar at the top of the road called Christy O’Conner’s Irish bar where we were greeted by a welsh boy named Damien aka (666).
He was a very friendly guy and didn’t hassle you to come in bar for drinks or something to eat, he was just generally kind, he told us where all the main bars where and nice Chinese restaurants etc and after that we were on our way.
Taking a short walk down the street we came to a bar which looked incredibly like weatherspoons back at home but instead it was called the Wigan Peer great place to go for entertainment on a night.
They have Miss Chrystal Star the drag queen most amazing drag artist I’ve seen ever, fantastic, also the singers and staff are brill, the clubs just a 2 minute walk away from hotel where Tramps and Ragz the night clubs were.
We thought great only down the road so if we want to go out get more, we can and its only a short stroll back home.
We walked down to the beach front which took 5 -10mins from hotel nice little walk too but if you don’t want to get hassled stay on the right hand side of the road walking down from hotel as you get every one asking you coming for a drink guys or some food - does your head in by end of the hols.
But walking down the beach there are some fantastic restaurants everyone should take a walk down and try some of the fantastic food they have to offer.
After having our food down beach front, we took a walk back up to Christy O’Connor’s bar and had a few drinks in there whilst we were entertained by Murphy’s misfits.
The band were incredible signing anything from Dire Straights to U2 brilliant and the staff were fantastic most friendliest people I’ve met, after that we would go there for breakfast everyday and on a night to see the band every night, we made good friends with staff and band too.
The best thing to do on holiday was too get up go for breakfast at Christy O’Connor’s then head straight down to the beach until 5pm where you soak up the sun and have an amazing swim in the sea where the waves were HUGE.
Then come home have a lovely shower, take a nap and then go out for a meal down beach front then come back to Christy O’Connor’s around 10ish for the band, then maybe after that go our clubbing to tramps which is amazing until when ever you drop down lol.
Then go home for a lovely nights sleep and do it all again the next day absolutely brill.
Really enjoyed our stay at the playazul apartments would back anytime thanks so much love Carly and Kieran. xx

We travelled with 3 other family's arriving on Boxing Day there were a total of 8 adults and 5 children occupying 3 separate apartments.
We stayed in apartment 216 on the second floor. Considering it was Christmas and the New Year, the noise from the bars only kept us awake occasionally room 216 is directly on the main road right above the bars.
The rooms were basic there was no electric kettle, no microwave and no toaster to make a cup of tea or coffee took ages. Boiling water was a nightmare, if you want tea or coffee put the kettle on an hour before you need it.
We stayed for a week and our rooms were only cleaned twice. The bed linen was never changed and we only had 1 change of towels.
I cannot comment on the staff as I never saw anybody after we booked in, our friends complained about the towels but nothing was done. Everything seemed to be too much trouble for the staff.
There is a poolside cafe bar serving pizzas, burgers, fries etc which was OK but the service was slow and the hotel was fairly quiet.
This is the only aparthotel I have been to where there was no lifeguard by the pool.
The best thing about these apartments is their size, we shared with 4 other people and there was plenty of room. The showers are rubbish the hot water runs out after 2 people shower. I did complain about this and was told to leave at least 20 minutes between each one showering. If we had done this we would have taken all afternoon to get ready for the evenings. Needless to say we took it in turns to have hot showers.
The entertainment in the bars was fantastic and the festivities for the New Year were awesome, the firework display seemed to go on all night.
This was my first time in Tenerife and I will definitely go back but I don’t think it will be at these apartments.

I stayed at Playazul in July 2005. I went away for a week with 3 friends for my 18th birthday.
I found the hotel on the whole to be fantastic. The staff were great, the rooms were clean, we had the cooking facilities that we needed, the pool was clean and it was great because you didn't have to get up really early to get a sun bed as there were plenty to go around.
The pool bar was great as the staff were very friendly, the food was OK and very cheap!
We stayed on the third floor, we didn't really have a great view as we had the other apartment block in front of us but to the right, the Starco centre (tramps etc), which looked pretty good at night with all the lights and stuff.
The great thing about Tenerife is that you can walk into one bar get a drink and walk around freely to other bars with the glass in your hand.

Being a party of six we had booked two, 2 bed roomed apartments.
When we arrived (on New Years Eve) only one of these rooms were ready. Two of our party got their apartment, whilst the other 4 were put in a studio.
The following day we were virtually rushed out of the studio into the new room and made feel as if this inconvenience was our fault.
We were allocated room 117 which was straight above a pub. The noise went on till around 4am every night.
The pool bar staff were very rude as were a few of the people at reception with a few exceptions. Fresh towels were not provided daily and our room harboured a horrible smell, which nothing was done about.
Worst of all our room was robbed. Trying to explain what had happened to staff was an uphill struggle as their English was not very good and the police were of no help at all.
If it had not been for the Thomas cook rep we dont know what we would have done!

Playazul is very close to the main bars, Tramps, Linekers, Yates etc. Even though it is literally a three minute walk to the bars and about 4 minutes to the beach, we could hardly hear the bar noises.
There were 6 of us in total we had rooms 207X and 306X and our view was of the beach and bars. We had our balcony doors open and still the sound wasn’t enough to keep you awake.
Playazul staff were very polite. Maids came every day to make your beds and to change the towels.
The only bad thing was the dark wood, which made the rooms look dull, but we never spent much time in the room anyway.
The pool was great with a bar alongside it. No shortage of sun loungers and a guy that comes around and makes sure everything is ok. There are fans in all bedrooms which makes the heat easier to deal with.
A Must if you are staying at the Playazul - when you come out of the apartments turn left you have china king and then the Neptuno Cafe. Go in the Neptuno Cafe for a full English in the morning for 2.95 euros. Best mornings we spent once we found this place.
Overall Playazul was a fantastic apartments for a budget holiday and we all enjoyed our time thoroughly.

I have just got back from a week stay at the Palyazul, I had a great time the weather was hot and the room was very basic but what do you expect for a bargain holiday.
Our room number was 408, you can hear a Little noise from the night clubs but not enough to keep you awake.
The only thing I can say that was bad about my stay is the room's lighting is very dull against the dark wood.
Overall a very nice stay and I would go back again.

I have stayed in Playa De Las Americas 4 times and have never written a review as I am easily pleased and don't expect 5 star treatment for a budget price. Having just returned from staying in Playazul apartments I feel like I could sleep for a month. On arrival my husband and I was allocated to room 177x.
We felt like our bed was actually in the middle of a disco due to the sound of the music and people screaming and shouting. we found out that this was because room 177x is directly above a bar with live music and a night club.
The noise went on until 3.45am and then we had the sound of the dust cart emptying 12 bins full of rubbish and glass. we did complain and we were moved to a studio at the back. This was better but you could still hear the night clubs and bars until 4am every night.
Swimming pool very clean.
Clean towels every day.
Cafe very clean and good food.
A good holiday if you can avoid room 177x and take some ear plugs.

Playa azul is located close to veronicas strip and around 200 metres from the beach and it is very central. The apartments are basic but o k the pool area is clean, and there is no shortage of sunbeds. There is a bar at the poolside, which is open till 9 pm but none in the hotel. If you like a quite holiday it may not be the best hotel to stay, as you can hear the music till around 5 o clock in the morning in certain apartments from the surrounding bars overall not a bad holiday

We went to stay for 2 weeks, with 3 other fellas, to tenerife. We stayed in the Playazul Apartments.
No hassle with security etc unless you wanted to create hassle, as others did. We came in at all hours of the night and they were always nice to us. The rooms were fine for what we paid. The pool was very good with very few kids. We were all 26 years of age and me 27 so we were glad of that. Very close to the main nightlife and beach if you want to go to that. We never made it that far. Had great time and would go back and stay in the same apartments.
