Well kept pools and grounds. Apartment was very basic but cleenish and spacious. Would say 3* rating should be 2* to be realistic. It's too far walking distance to town unless very fit, but the problem was you had to walk along barron fly-tipped areas to get into town. Only... more

we visited Granada Park Feb 2007. The rooms were great, clean and spacious. There are 3 pools 1 heated that all closed at 6 oclock. The restaurant was poor we orded food and had to wait for about 1 hour for it arrive. Also the hotel was no way near the beach we had too walk 20-30 mins. Theres a shop on the complex which was great and cheap.

Nice apartments but quiet and remote
I stayed there 12th to 19th February with wife and 2 kids (age 9 and 7). The apartment complex itself is very nice, well laid out, clean, with helpful and polite staff. However, as has been pointed out it is a vigourous 20 minute walk to Los Cristianos or Playa de Las Americas. It is also surrounded on the Los Cristianos side by wasteland which is awaiting development. You either have to enjoy walking, or use a hire car and/or taxis to get to the beach, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Although there is a taxi rank outside the complex and they are relatively cheap 6 - 10 euros depending which end of the resorts you are going to, I did find it frustrating not to be able to just walk out of the apartment complex and get to the outside attractions. And over a week the cost of taxis will mount up. It didn't particularly bother me walking back in the evening from Los Cristianos (I always felt safe even with the kids), however I would not imaging that this is the same for everyone. We had a hire car from Autoreisen (110 euros for the week all in booked over the internet) so this helped, but the drink drive limit in Spain is lower than the UK, so it can cramp your activities. We had a 1 bed apartment and the settee in the living room converted to 2 kids beds (basically a foam mattress). The apartments were very nice (no kettle or microwave), but the fire alarm set right above the hob was extremely sensitive and it was impossible to do any serious cooking without setting this off. The room was cleaned 6 out of the 7 days and linen and sheets changed once. Our room was at the top of the complex which is just off the TF1 motorway so there was a bit of car drone noise. The pools were pretty chilly, even the heated ones (kids and smaller of the 2 adult pools), but they were ok, clean, safe and there were plenty of sunbeds. The bar was ok and the food menu was reasonably priced and large enough (lots of English foods), but there just wasn't much atmosphere - you wouldn't choose to go there for a night out. If the review sounds negative about Granada Park that is unfair. It is a very nice complex, but it just wasn't the right one for us. If you are happy staying in a nice quiet apartment complex, sititng round a smallish simple pool and going to a quietish bar then it is very good. It was good value for money as good deals seem readily available on the internet. If you want more life then you have to build in the additional costs of taxis or car hire, plus the hassle of having to go out and come back - when you are on the beach you can't just pop back for a pair of swimming goggles that the kids have forgotten. Very much a case of horses for courses.
Decent apartments, on the edge of town
Me and a friend booked a last minute deal to the Granada Apartments and stayed from the 1st to the 8th Feb. The apartments are very nice and quiet, there are plenty of sunbeds so no need to get up early, even though we were there in the winter the apartments were still full. The rooms were all of good size, nicely decorated and very clean. Cleaners come 5 times a week and do a very good job. The kitchen is of decent size so if you do want to make your own food then it is suitable. The TVs in the room also had ITV and BBC so you could always watch some home comforts if you became home sick. The pool area is very clean and spacious, only downside is the temperature of the pool, very cold in all three, ok for a quick deep to get out of the heat but not comfortable for a prolonged swim. The reception workers all speak good english and are helpful for anything you might want, eg taxis, safe etc. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice as well. Good choice of food and drinks and the same price as resaurants in the main resorts. The supermarket onsite also sells everything you might need during the day, however closes at 8 so get what you need before then. Once again everything is reasonablty priced however the spirits and alcohol are slightly costly so buy your drinks in the supermarkets in town Location: we read some reviews saying that this place was in the middle of nowhere however i can assure you this is not the case. Las Americas is a 20 minute walk down a slight hill which is fine and is quiet and peaceful. Los Christianos is slightly further but we only visited there once in our weeks stay, There is always taxis ready and waiting outside and so if you are to tired to walk then this isnt a problem. Taxis into americas of christianos are no more then 6 euros so not really a big deal. Resort:: being two single lads we went into americas every night, despite the time of year the bars/clubs were all still busy, with plenty of reps to encourage you in. In all we had a great weeks break in the granada apartments with no real complaints. The location may be a problem for those who dont enjoy a little walk but on holiday in the heat this can be nice anway. Would definatly go back to the resort again.
Great complex
Just returned from a week at Granada Park, had not been to Tenerife before so didn't know where we were going to be. Have to say the complex was really good, quiet and plenty of sunbeds but the pools were very cold so not used much. The on-site shop was reasonably priced, although we did find a big supermarket on our last day about 10 mins walk away(uphill coming back). The bar/restaurant was very good value for food and not too expensive for drinks as hotels usually are. The apartments were well set out with plenty of room with cooker, toaster and large fridge/freezer. I took my own kettle as I'd read other reviews. The distance from Las Americas and Los Cristianos was a problem as we walked down most days and got a taxi back 3 times. We discovered that there was a free bus to Las Americas every day but Sunday near the end of holiday. It goes at 10.30 but doesn't return until 17.30 which can be a long time unless you want to lie on beach.
disappoin ted
we originally booked to go to Green Golf resort 4* with Lets Go Canaries. Three days before we were due to travel we were informed that we were staying at Granada Park. The complex was kept in very good order, but there was no air-con and rooms were very hot, maids cleaned every day but towels and linen were very 'tired'. The pool area was very nice, quiet and plenty of beds. There was only a pool cafe and the locaction was very isolated. we had to get a taxi every day to Los Americas or |Los Cristionas. Although we like peaceful holidays this was just a bit too remote.
Granda Park - Very Nice.
Just got back from Granada Park, got to say this place was very well looked after, really clean, very nice pool, good value pool bar for food and drink, staff were very nice, the whole complex is quite secure. You would benefit from having a hire car (Niza Cars are good), we had one and it made the location no problem. It is out of the way and not really within walking distance of anything if you have kids. The next time we go to Tenerife we will stay there, but we will ask for a room overlooking the pool. The holiday was good, except we only found the really nice shops at Los Christanos on the last night, we been up around Las Americas most of the week which could do with a spruce up.
Fab find
We were originally booked into another hotel near the beach so we were not too happy to be moved but when we got to Granada Park, we discovered a gem. Very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle (if you exclude noisy neighbours on a couple of occasions....I think they'd had too much sangria and too much sun!). We had fab weather when we were there, 19th - 26th October 07. Not too bad a walk when the sun is going down (20 mins) but pretty hot if you are walking in the sun but always taxis outside - between 4 and 6 euros depending on time of day. Rooms clean although disappointingly no kettle but you can get one from reception and you have to hire an iron and ironing board if you need one. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living room which is adequate in October when we went but probably not enough in the Summer months. Didn't see one cockroach in the room the whole week we were there and only 1 in the complex so that was a positive result for me! Loads of sunbeds with cushions and plenty of parasols so you didn't need to fight for sunbeds. Staff on reception very helpful and the bar is run by English people who were lovely and do traditional fayre with English Breakfast, burgers etc. and the food was of a good standard. No entertainment on in October but plenty to do in Las Americas & Los Christanos where you can get a pint for 1 euro. We found a couple of fab restaurants......Chill Out was one of them right next to the underpass....definitely recommend it....can't remember the name of the other one though! On average eating out with starters and main meal and a couple of drinks for 3 of us came to about 60 euro.......a lot cheaper than Puerto Banus in the Summer.
Well kept and clean
Had a great time here. Pool area clean with lots of beds and nice surroundings. Pool bar food good and nice staff. Little supermarket good for bits and pieces. We felt we needed a car as the location of Granada Park isn't very central but we do have 2 small children that can't walk too far! There are taxis constantly outside if you dont have a car.
Great!
The Granada Park Apartments were clean, spacious, and well equipped. There were large balconies all with pool views. The 2 pools and baby pool were all very clean and a life guard was on duty every day. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Small well stocked supermarket on site and the prices were not too inflated. The poolside bar did meals and snacks all day and the bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside of these apartments was that they were a good 20 minutes walk from both Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas although a taxi rank is right outside. I would recommend these apartments to anybody but especially families with children of any ages.
What happened to the poolbar??
Having stayed at Granada Park a few times previously, I was extremely dissapointed to go back and find the poolbar had changed hands. The last owners were fantastic and really made our holiday...It just wasn´t the same this time. Whats happened to Dennis, Maria and family. Good luck to you wherever you are!! Having said that the complex is very nice and the appartments very clean and spacious. Don´t think i´ll be visiting again though.
A good place to be in february.
We had two good weeks at the Granada Park Resort in february 2007. Our apartment was probably the most spacious we ever have rented in a hotel area like this. And like some other hotel guests, we was lucky enough to have a roof teracce above our apartment. And we also enjoyed the big kitchen with equipment that actually did function. The pools however do not have the same standard. They are circular and not spacious at all. So if you really want to have a good morning swim, you have to go down to the beach. And in february the non heated pools are simply too cold just to have a ducking. The local minimarked is offering a good variety in excellent spanish vines. Actually, one of the red vines is hard to find even in the biggest supermarkeds. And of course, you have to pay for it. From our balcony and roof terrace we had a good view over Los Christianos and Las Americas. The walking distance to Los Christianos is about 10 to 20 minutes. Over the wasteland this walk is not very exciting. But we did preferred that compared to e.g. having noise next door. Generally we felt that the comfort at Granada Park was so good that we could have stayed here over a longer period of time.
